Chapter 42 - Chapter 42 — The Hidden Mark

The chamber inside the Red Fort trembled again as distant explosions echoed through the walls.

Dust fell from the ceiling.

But Arun wasn't looking at the battlefield anymore.

His eyes were fixed on something else.

"Wait…"

He stepped closer to the display table.

"What is it?" Li Wen asked.

Arun picked up a small metallic fragment lying beneath the sword case.

It was old.

Worn.

But clearly not ancient Indian craftsmanship.

Li Wen frowned.

"That doesn't belong here."

Arun's expression changed.

"This is…"

He turned the object toward the light.

"…a British colonial gun part."

Li Wen blinked.

"British?"

Arun nodded.

Then, almost instinctively, he muttered in German—

"Das ist unmöglich…"

(This is impossible…)

Li Wen looked at him.

"What do you mean?"

Arun continued, still half in shock—

"Diese Waffe gehört nicht hierher. Das ist eindeutig britisch."

(This weapon doesn't belong here. This is clearly British.)

He looked back at her.

"If British elements are here…"

"…and Chinese… and Indian…"

"…then this isn't random."

Li Wen's voice lowered.

"You think…"

Arun nodded slowly.

"This confirms it."

"The Unknown Architect wasn't tied to one empire."

"He moved across civilizations."

Li Wen shook her head slightly.

"This sounds insane."

Arun looked at her seriously.

"I don't think it is."

Outside—

gunfire intensified.

Mark's team held the inner perimeter.

Bilal's systems launched another wave of mini missiles.

Explosions lit up the night.

Mark shouted—

"Hold the line!"

Albert stood near the central corridor, checking his watch.

His face remained calm.

"How much longer…"

he murmured.

Then—

Ding.

A message appeared on his phone.

Albert looked at it.

And smiled slightly.

"Finally."

Bilal glanced at him.

"What?"

Albert replied calmly—

"We captured one."

Bilal frowned.

"Captured who?"

Albert looked up.

"One of the assassin leaders."

He paused.

"Now I find the boss."

Mark asked—

"You already know who it is?"

Albert nodded.

"Yes."

His voice turned cold.

"Daniel Park."

Bilal blinked.

"What?"

Albert continued—

"He's handling it."

"I'll contact him."

Then he added quietly—

"We only need to hold for thirty more seconds."

At that exact moment—

Arun's voice burst through the radio.

"Albert!"

Albert picked it up.

"Yes?"

Arun's voice was urgent.

"You need to come here."

"We found something."

Albert frowned slightly.

"What now…"

He moved quickly toward the chamber.

Inside—

Li Wen and Arun stood over the table.

Arun held up the British fragment.

"We decoded more of the pattern."

Li Wen pointed toward the map forming on the screen.

A new location.

Far from India.

Albert looked at it.

"…What is this?"

Arun answered slowly.

"This is not just India anymore."

Li Wen added—

"This points to something else."

Arun looked directly at Albert.

"The East India Company."

Albert's eyes narrowed.

"…You mean the British Empire."

Arun nodded.

"Yes."

He pointed at the map.

"Our next destination…"

"…is the United Kingdom."

The room went silent.

Because the mystery had just expanded again.

From India—

to Britain.

From ancient empires—

to colonial powers.

And somewhere in the United Kingdom—

another secret of the Unknown Architect was waiting.
