Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 — The Warning

Night.

In a hidden operations room—

Daniel Park sat quietly in front of a secure communication system.

He dialed a number.

The call connected.

A rough voice answered.

"Who is this?"

Daniel replied calmly.

"I'm your new boss."

The man on the other end laughed.

"We don't take orders from strangers."

Daniel didn't react.

"My name is… Carlos Bravo."

Silence.

The tone on the other side changed immediately.

"…Understood."

Daniel continued.

"Your next mission."

"Cancel all current operations."

"Move to Italy."

The leader frowned.

"Italy?"

Daniel's voice remained steady.

"Find the contractor."

"Terminate him."

"Personally."

A pause.

Then—

"Yes, sir."

Daniel ended the call.

He leaned back slightly.

Then picked up another phone.

Albert answered.

"Yes?"

Daniel spoke calmly.

"We're clear."

Albert nodded slightly.

"And my father?"

Daniel replied—

"I spoke to him."

"Message delivered."

Albert's expression didn't change.

"Good."

Daniel added—

"I'll head home after this."

Albert smiled faintly.

"Take care."

The call ended.

Meanwhile—

inside the Red Fort—

Li Wen stood quietly for a moment.

Then she spoke.

"We go to the UK next."

Albert nodded.

"Yes."

But suddenly—

Li Wen stopped.

Her expression changed.

Arun noticed immediately.

"What is it?"

She hesitated.

"…I didn't inform my family."

The room went silent.

"I've been moving from place to place…"

"Germany… Egypt… Brazil… India…"

She looked down slightly.

"They don't even know where I am."

Albert stepped closer.

"Then we fix that."

Li Wen looked up.

"How?"

Albert answered simply—

"We go to China first."

Days later—

China.

A quiet traditional house stood in a peaceful village.

Li Wen stepped inside slowly.

Her family was waiting.

Her parents.

And her grandmother.

They spoke in Chinese, voices filled with emotion.

"你终于回来了."

(You finally came back.)

Li Wen smiled softly.

"对不起…我太忙了."

(I'm sorry… I've been too busy.)

Albert, Arun, Bilal, and Mark stood respectfully nearby.

Albert quietly translated for them.

"They're just happy she's safe."

After some time—

Li Wen's grandmother approached her.

An elderly woman.

Wise eyes.

Calm presence.

She held Li Wen's hands gently.

And spoke slowly in Chinese.

"孩子…"

(My child…)

"你的速度太快了."

(You are moving too fast.)

Li Wen looked at her.

Confused.

Her grandmother continued—

"你不知道自己的速度."

(You don't understand your own pace.)

"有一天…"

(One day…)

"会有人因为你的能力而伤害你."

(Someone will try to harm you because of your talent.)

Li Wen's expression changed.

Her grandmother's voice grew softer.

"不要和魔鬼做交易."

(Do not deal with the devil.)

"那会慢慢吞噬你的心."

(It will slowly consume your heart.)

Li Wen stood silent.

Because she understood exactly what she meant.

Albert.

Power.

The path she had chosen.

Her grandmother smiled gently.

"慢一点."

(Slow down.)

"保护你自己."

(Protect yourself.)

Later—

the group stepped outside the house.

Li Wen looked back one last time.

Then turned toward Albert.

"I'm ready."

Albert nodded.

"Good."

Hours later—

a private aircraft stood on the runway.

Sleek.

Silent.

Powerful.

Albert's aircraft.

The team boarded.

Engines started.

The plane began moving.

As it lifted into the sky—

Li Wen looked out the window.

China slowly disappeared beneath the clouds.

Ahead of them—

a new destination waited.

The United Kingdom.

And somewhere there—

another secret of the Unknown Architect.

Was waiting to be found.
