"Did he come for you?" Armin asked without any elaboration.
Neo blinked rapidly, confused at first. But once realization set in, he had to fake the confusion in his expression and say, "Who?"
His delivery was not bad, and Armin didn't notice anything amiss.
"The Phantom," he said.
Neo's eyes widened with the right amount of shock. "The Phantom?? Why would he come for me? What's going on?"
Neo could see the slight panic in Armin's demeanor as he questioned him. He was half acting, half curious. He stared into Armin's deep green eyes, waiting for an answer.
But all he got in response was a, "Nothing."
Armin's features reverted to its usual stoic state as he got down from the bed and stood to his feet. Neo stared at Armin's back. He was wearing a white shirt with a pair of black cross suspenders and matching trousers.
Neo shifted to the edge of the bed and said, "It's not nothing. What happened?"
