Carter looked at himself in the mirror. The half-man half-bat monster was no more. Instead, it was a pale handsome man with dark hair. His smile was almost inviting with a hint of madness.
"For the first time ever… The Eldritch Knight was no longer the strongest."
The pale man clenched his fist and a small shockwave blasted through the room.
Carter knew everything about each of his skin. He knew the power they had.
Eldritch Knight was an Elite. But he would easily be crushed by Dracula, a mere Awaken being.
"How do I say this… Dracula is a genius among geniuses. He is a chosen one."
Carter's eyes glowed red briefly. There was a hunger inside him. A hunger for blood.
"This skin is still not the true Dracula though. It isn't immortal. It can still grow old. It cannot take power from blood, only heal from it. There are rooms to improve."
But that was a task for another day. Now, Carter must say goodbye to this world for a while.
[SYSTEM GHOST EQUIPPED]
Carter met up with Kaito and told him to look after the house and his assets once he wasn't here.
Then he gave Neros and Piper a call, informing them about the journey that he, Carter Caine, and himself, Zeneros Blackburn, would go.
Carter then checked up with Nina and Quill's status. They learned how to manipulate their heart rate but they were still far away from becoming an Awaken. He taught them for a while then told him about his leaving.
"When will you and Zen get back?" Nina asked.
"I'll probably return within two months." Carter said.
"Two months? Why?" Quill tilted his head.
"Because it's the time that Cyber Runner would be dropping new slaves here.
They should be sending more tonight. Ghost will catch them and remove their Cyber Cores. We'll keep those that hate Cyber Runner and kill the loyalists."
Carter explained his plan.
"Sounds good to me!" Nina said.
That night, Cyber Runner once again opened a portal and sent new Cyber Slaves into Terrorstate.
Cyber Runner didn't think much about the reason why no one returned from last trip. They probably thought all the slaves died.
Carter stood on the rooftop at the area that he knew Cyber Slaves would appear.
Balls of lightning appeared all around time.
"One… Two… Three, four, five. And six, seven. All seven of them are here."
He was equipping System Ghost. Originally, System Ghost was a useless skin that couldn't fight.
But Carter had his own abilities and skills now. They were always active even when he equipped different skins.
Carter approached a Cyber Slave. The slave was running around naked, trying to find something to wear first.
Cyber Runner was a poor faction. They used portals instead of the Prime Train to save on cost. That prevented Primers from bringing anything with them.
That Cyber Slave was thinking to himself that this Terrorstate wasn't as scary as he heard about. They told him that he would die in minutes after landing here.
Monsters were everywhere. And each would be more deathly than the last.
But there wasn't even a Terror in sight.
"What the hell? Those scientists just like to mess with people."
The Cyber Slave froze as he saw a faceless man in front of him.
The Slave turned around and ran immediately. He didn't even have a weapon on him. It would be foolish to fight a Terror like that.
But Carter was faster. The Ghost caught the Slave within seconds and pushed him to the ground.
"Don't kill me! Don't kill me, please!" The Slave begged for his life.
Surprisingly, the faceless man didn't kill him, instead, he placed his palm on the slave's Cyber Core.
"What are you…" The man convulsed as he felt the shock in his bones.
Carter could do this easier but he deliberately caused the Core to shock and knock the slave out.

The slave fainted and lay on the ground silently. Carter sent the coordination to Nina and Quill. The two of them and a few men Carter hired would come and pick the slave up.
They could then address whether the slave should be kept alive or killed.
