It was embarrassing for the slaves to meet Ghost. They were even less harmful than children in front of Carter.
The next Slave had weapons and clothes on him. He probably bought them from Prime Shop. The Prime Coins must be from a previous trip so this slave survived at least one trip before.
Carter saw the man and transformed into a girl before approaching him.
"Why are you out here at night, sir? Please follow me. I'll lead you to safety." Carter acted like a naive woman that wanted to save the Slave.
The Slave smiled and followed Carter, "Thank you, Miss!"
They entered an abandoned house.
"Please stay here, sir. I need to go out and find my friends." Carter said with a worried look.
The appearance he chose was a beautiful woman. Those that would make a man drool if he saw. And Carter's clothes changed as well, to a flimsy tank top and shorts that showed smooth white thighs.
When he turned around and left, the slave's expression changed. He licked his lips and jumped at Carter.
"Where're you going, baby!"
"Heh."
Carter spun around. He activated the Adrenaline skill. His blood flow accelerated and channeled all the strength of his body into his fist.
The Ghost used Human's Adrenaline and punched a hole through the slave's chest.
The slave widened his eyes, "You…"
Ghost transformed from a helpless girl to the faceless man again. He didn't say even a word.
Ghost pulled his hand out. The bloody heart of the slave was in his palm.
The slave fell to his death. He didn't understand why or who had killed him. He didn't know that his own cruelty led him to his death.
Carter didn't mind cruel. But kindness was more predictable. He wasn't foolish enough to keep cruel people around him that would backstab him at any moment.
The Ghost plucked the Cyber Core out of his cold death arm.

'Hmm? Why is there Synchronization?'
Carter stopped the hunt for a moment and carefully thought about System Ghost.
There were two times that the Ghost received a very high percentage of Synchronization. One was when he rescued Nina and left. And this time, when he disguised as a girl to fool the slave.
'Both times, I left the person that interacted with me completely confused… System Ghost… System Ghost… A ghost with no face that can change its face easily. It isn't just disguise that raises Synchronization. It is also a mystery.'
Carter concluded that by acting as a mysterious figure. He could raise Ghost's Synchronization. A faceless man wasn't really a compelling character. Unless he had a mystery surrounding him.
'I feel like I'm touching the core of System Ghost. But to actually construct a mystery around Ghost would be difficult. I need the right circumstances. But I can try it by making use of my Disguise Skill more.'

Carter hacked the second Cyber Core and continued on his way.
The next slave was a female. Carter transformed into another girl again. This time he looked more muscular with a sports outfit that clearly outlined his muscle tones.
This slave was being chased by a Terror Man. The Terror was a variation of Carter's Terror Man's skin. It was one of the weakest Terror out there.
Still, it could easily kill any Mortal within seconds.
The female slave was pushed into a corner with nowhere to hide.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" The girl grabbed the lid of the trash can and used it as a shield. "Why is this happening to me?! I did not ask for any of this!"
The Terror Man crept closer and closer. It used Terror Force and caused the slave legs to tremble in fear. She could feel Death coming for her another time.
But this time, she might not even have the chance of peace. Cyber Runner could snatch her soul once. They could do it again. And forced her to be their slave for eternity.
Fear and anguish flooded over, breaking all of her fighting will.
The Terror Man pulled the shield away. She screamed and fell on her knees.
Endless cycles of violence were waiting for her in the future. She thought so.
"Is this… hell?" She mumbled her last words.
Suddenly a female warrior came over. She was built like a brick and more muscular than anyone the slave had ever met.
The muscular woman grabbed the Terror and pulled it down to her level.
Carter punched the Terror Man relentlessly. With Superhuman power, he caved its head into its skull.
As a final strike, he activated Adrenaline and channeled all the power to his leg. Carter roundhouse kicked the Terror Man in the head, decapitating it.
"You're alright?" Carter said.
The female slave nodded.
"Come. This place isn't safe." Carter reached 'her' hand out.
The slave grabbed it. They ran away.
"Who are you?! Why are you out at night?" Carter asked the slave.
The female slave was crying and sniffing. She tried to hold herself together.
"You won't believe me even if I tell you."
"Try me."
Suddenly, Carter let go of her hand and fell down.
"Are you alright?" The female slave said.
"I'm… Hah. Just using a little too much energy. It's alright. Keep going."
The slave didn't even hesitate. She kept running and disappeared down the street.
Carter stood up once she was gone. 'Really? You're just going to leave me here?'
Carter was disappointed. A person like this couldn't be trusted. He just saved her and she left without hesitation.
He was about to find that slave again and killed her. But instead, he heard her return. But she didn't return alone.
Carter climbed onto a building and hid himself.
The girl returned with another slave.
"Where is she?" The male slave shouted.
"I don't know! I swear she was here. And she's injured too." The female slave said in a panic.
"If you're lying to me, I'm going to kill you!"
"I'm not lying. She's strong too! We are here to investigate supernatural powers, right? She definitely has it. The scientists would want to know about her."
'Well. You just make my decision much easier.' Carter heard everything from a rooftop.
He climbed down from the building and looked for a place nearby to lie down. He had to finish the scene.
The two slaves walked around to find Carter. They eventually found him.
"There she is!" The female slave pointed.
