Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Awakening of the True Power

The night after the ceremony was silent, but for Liana, the world had changed forever. She couldn't sleep—not because of fear, but because her body thrummed with energy she had never felt before.

Her wolf stirred endlessly, demanding release, demanding recognition. The faint silver glow around her hands the night before had not vanished; it pulsed, as if calling her to embrace what she had been hiding all these years.

She rose from her bed, careful not to wake the servants. Her legs trembled as she moved toward the small training courtyard behind her room. Tonight, she would understand this new power. Tonight, she would awaken fully.

The moon hung high in the sky, bathing the forest in silvery light. Liana closed her eyes and focused, feeling the bond between her and the Alpha King.

"I am yours… and you are mine."

The voice echoed in her mind. It was not just a thought—it was a command, a pull that resonated with every fiber of her being. Her wolf howled inside, and suddenly, her body shifted.

Fur sprouted over her skin, sleek and golden. Her eyes glowed like molten gold, powerful and piercing. Muscles formed beneath her skin, strong and lithe. She had transformed completely.

Liana looked at her reflection in the still waters of the courtyard fountain. She barely recognized herself. The weak, rejected girl of yesterday was gone. In her place stood a wolf of legend, radiating power and beauty, impossible to ignore.

A faint sound behind her made her snap her head around.

"Impressive," came the low, commanding voice.

The Alpha King stepped out of the shadows, golden eyes glowing with pride and admiration. His presence alone made the ground beneath her feet feel solid, his aura filling the night air with unstoppable force.

"You have awakened far faster than I expected," he said, his eyes scanning every inch of her new form. "Your strength… it is far beyond the Silver Moon Pack, far beyond Alpha Logan's reach. You are extraordinary, Liana."

Her heart raced, but she kept her head high. "I… I never knew I could do this," she admitted.

"That is because no one has ever pushed you to realize your true potential," he said, stepping closer. "Until now, your power was dormant, hidden, waiting for the right bond to awaken it. And that bond is me. I am your mate, Liana. Not Alpha Logan. Not anyone else. Me."

Liana felt her chest tighten. The bond between them pulsed stronger with every word. Her wolf responded instinctively, nudging toward him, craving his presence, his protection.

Suddenly, the ground trembled.

From the far edges of the forest, shadows moved. Warriors, spies, and enemies who had been watching the Silver Moon Pack's events saw the shift in power—and they were not happy.

A group of rogue wolves burst into the courtyard, their eyes glowing red, their teeth bared. They had come to challenge the pack, thinking Liana's presence would make it easier to defeat them.

Liana growled, and her golden eyes flared. She had felt fear before, yes, but now it was replaced with something else: rage. Protective, fiery, unstoppable rage.

The Alpha King stepped beside her, his own golden eyes glowing fiercely. "Do not touch her," he said, his voice low but deadly. "She is mine. And you… will regret every step."

The rogue wolves hesitated for a moment. They had heard legends of the Alpha King, but seeing him in person—standing beside his awakened mate—was terrifying beyond comprehension.

But one stepped forward, snarling. "We are not afraid of you! That girl is weak!"

Liana's body flared with golden energy, her wolf instincts fully taking control. The air around her crackled with power.

In a single bound, she launched herself at the rogue wolf, faster than any human or wolf could comprehend. Her claws sliced through the air, leaving trails of golden light.

The rogue wolf barely had time to react before Liana's paw landed with deadly precision. The air exploded around the impact, and the wolf was thrown back several meters, howling in pain.

The other wolves froze. Fear replaced aggression. They could feel the sheer power emanating from her, a force that could level mountains.

The Alpha King's gaze softened. "Good," he said quietly. "You are learning quickly. Your power is not only yours—it is ours. Our bond makes it unstoppable."

Liana's chest heaved as she stood over the fallen wolves. Her eyes scanned the remaining attackers, and they shrank back under her gaze. Her wolf howled into the night—a sound that echoed through the forest, announcing the rise of a new force.

Tonight, the weak, rejected girl had become a legend in her own right.

And Alpha Logan, watching from the pack hall's edge, realized for the first time just how foolish he had been.

He had rejected her… humiliated her… and now she was stronger than he could ever hope to be.

The Alpha King stepped closer to Liana, placing a protective hand on her shoulder. "Rest now," he said softly. "Tomorrow, your enemies will realize that a true mate is unstoppable—and no one will ever dare challenge you again."

Liana nodded, her golden eyes still glowing faintly. She had finally embraced her power, her bond, and her destiny.

For the first time, she felt invincible.

And she knew—this was only the beginning.
