Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The First Clash

The air above the Silver Moon Pack territory seemed to hum with power. Every wolf who had gathered outside sensed the tension, holding their breath as light and darkness clashed in the distance.

Liana's golden aura blazed, each step she took radiating confidence and strength. Beside her, the Alpha King moved like a shadow with purpose, his eyes locked on the corrupted figure of Alpha Logan.

Logan's red eyes burned with fury, his dark energy writhing around him like living fire. The ground at his feet cracked with each step, the earth itself seeming to recoil from his presence.

"You… will not stop me!" he roared, his voice echoing across the forest.

Liana stepped forward, her own voice strong, unwavering. "I won't just stop you, Logan. I will end this before you hurt anyone else!"

Her words seemed to fuel him. With a terrifying speed, Logan lunged forward, black energy exploding from his body in jagged streaks. Wolves stumbled backward from the shockwave, dust and debris clouding the area.

Kael's golden aura flared. He shifted instantly, taking a defensive stance beside Liana. "Stay focused. Trust in your power," he said firmly.

Liana nodded, centering herself. She let the golden energy flow from her core, spreading outward, a barrier of light and warmth against the corrupted darkness that Logan wielded.

The collision of their powers shook the forest. Trees splintered. The earth trembled. Wolves howled in both fear and awe.

Logan struck first, a wave of dark energy aimed directly at Liana. She leapt, golden light flashing across her body as she countered it with a shield of pure energy. Sparks flew where light met darkness. The impact sent her skidding back, claws digging into the ground, yet she refused to fall.

"You've grown stronger," Logan snarled, his voice twisted with both rage and disbelief. "But not enough!"

Kael intervened, moving with inhuman speed. He struck Logan with a golden fist, energy radiating outward. Logan staggered slightly but didn't fall. Instead, he roared, dark energy whipping into a cyclone around him.

The battle became a blur of motion. Liana dodged and countered with precision, her golden wolf instincts guiding her. Every strike she made was not just power—it was control, intelligence, and unwavering purpose.

She remembered every moment of humiliation, every sneer, every whisper that she was weak. She channeled all of it into the battle, each heartbeat syncing with the flow of her energy.

"You're not the same," Logan hissed through gritted teeth. "You were always weak! Always… nothing!"

"Not anymore," Liana said, her voice carrying the weight of all she had endured. Her energy flared, brighter, hotter, enveloping her form in a radiant blaze. She shifted into her full wolf form, golden light spilling from every muscle and sinew. Her claws dug into the cracked earth, ready for the strike that would define the battle.

Kael joined her fully, his own golden aura merging with hers. The bond between them pulsed visibly, golden threads weaving through the air like lightning. Together, they were unstoppable. Together, they were a storm of light against darkness.

Logan's dark energy twisted violently in response, forming jagged tendrils that lashed outward like living shadows. But the Alpha King and Liana moved as one, deflecting and countering with fluid, devastating precision.

"Liana… push him back!" Kael shouted over the roar of energy.

She lunged forward, claws glowing, eyes locked on Logan. The energy within her surged, golden fire licking the air around her. With a mighty roar, she slammed into the corrupted Alpha, sending a shockwave that ripped through the forest. Trees fell, rocks exploded into dust, and even the pack members at the edge of the battlefield were thrown to the ground by the sheer force.

Logan staggered but recovered quickly. His red eyes glinted with a dangerous light. "You think you can defeat me?!" he bellowed. "I am Alpha! I am power! I am—!"

"You are broken," Liana interrupted sharply, her voice like a blade. "Broken by pride. Broken by fear. And broken by your own choices!"

With that, she channeled every ounce of her golden energy into a concentrated strike. It hit Logan squarely in the chest, the force of it sending him flying backward. He slammed into the ground hard, dark energy sputtering around him as he struggled to rise.

Kael stepped forward, placing a hand on Liana's shoulder. "He's strong, but he's unstable. His darkness is consuming him. You need to finish this—together."

Liana nodded, eyes glowing fiercely. She shifted fully into wolf form again, letting instinct and raw power guide her. Golden energy spiraled from her, forming a barrier and then compressing into a concentrated spear of light.

Kael mirrored her, his own energy forming a second spear beside hers. Together, they charged.

The ground shook violently as they collided with Logan. The impact was cataclysmic, a storm of light and shadow exploding outward. Wolves on the outskirts of the battlefield were thrown to their knees, and even the trees at the edge of the forest were blasted by the shockwave.

When the dust settled, Logan lay on the ground, panting heavily. His red eyes flickered uncertainly as the energy drained from him. For the first time, he looked small—vulnerable.

"You…" he gasped. "This… cannot… be…"

"Yes," Liana said, breathing hard, golden light still pulsing from her fur and hands. "This is what happens when you reject what you do not understand. This is what happens when you underestimate the strength of someone who refuses to stay weak."

Kael stepped beside her, aura still blazing. "It's over, Logan," he said simply.

The corrupted Alpha tried to rise again, but his strength failed him. He looked up at the two figures standing over him, light blazing against his darkness. His anger burned, but it was no longer enough.

The pack erupted in cheers, but Liana didn't hear them. She stood tall, looking at Logan, at Kael, at the forest that had become the battleground. She realized something profound: she wasn't just fighting to protect her pack. She was fighting to protect herself, to protect the life she had finally claimed—the life she had earned through pain, perseverance, and courage.

For the first time, she truly understood her own power—not just the golden energy that now defined her—but the strength of her heart, her mind, and her will.

And as the Alpha King reached out, entwining his hand with hers, golden energy connecting them in a visible pulse of unbreakable bond, Liana smiled faintly.

The battle had ended. The pack was safe—for now. But she knew this was only the beginning. The shadow of what Logan had become would linger, and the war for the Silver Moon Pack was far from over.

Yet, for the first time, Liana felt invincible. Not because she was stronger than everyone else, but because she had finally embraced who she truly was—and that was something even darkness could not touch.

The Silver Moon Pack howled in unison, the sound echoing across the mountains and forests. And at the center of it all, Liana stood radiant, unstoppable, and fully claimed—not just by the Alpha King, but by destiny itself.
