Chapter 131 - Lord-Level Magical Beast

"They're not actively attacking; it's more like they're fleeing, but being forced forward by some power."

Wu Liang looked towards the rear of the magical beast horde; it was pitch black, and a more powerful presence was approaching from there.

Just then, a scout stumbled over, his face filled with terror.

"Leader! This is bad! The rubber plantation is also under attack!"

The scout yelled, his voice choked with sobs.

Wu Liang's heart sank.

His worst fear had come true.

The rubber plantation not only had a large amount of rubber sap and processing equipment, but also many Artisans and Cat-eared People working there.

"What's the exact situation?"

Wu Liang asked.

"Many magical beasts! Even more than here!"

The scout panted heavily.

"They burst out from the depths of the rainforest and charged directly towards the rubber plantation."

"Our defenses are insufficient; we can't hold out much longer!"

Wu Liang took a deep breath:

"It's a Beast Tide!"

"Ignis, you lead the people to continue defending here and try to buy as much time as possible!"

Wu Liang immediately gave the order.

"Akomann, you lead one-third of the Black Rock Army to assist Ignis, then take the Rifle Battalion and come with me to the rubber plantation!"

"Yes!"

Akomann and Ignis responded in unison.

Wu Liang wasted no words; he turned and left.

Akomann and the Rifle Battalion warriors followed closely.

When they arrived at the rubber plantation, the scene before them made Wu Liang's pupils contract sharply.

The makeshift defenses on the outskirts of the rubber plantation had been completely destroyed, and a large number of magical beasts had rushed into the plantation, wantonly destroying the rubber trees and processing equipment.

Some Cat-eared People and Artisans from the Black Rock Tribe were fighting desperately, but against the overwhelming number of magical beasts, they were outnumbered and suffered heavy casualties.

"Ah—!"

A scream rang out as an Artisan from the Black Rock Tribe was gored by a large magical beast with sharp horns, sent flying, and landed heavily on the ground.

"Damn it!"

Wu Liang roared.

"Rifle Battalion, free fire!"

Wu Liang commanded loudly.

"Akomann, charge with me! Drive these beasts out!"

"Kill!"

The Rifle Battalion warriors immediately fanned out, finding advantageous positions to shoot at the magical beasts within the plantation.

The advantage of the rifles was fully displayed at this moment; precise shooting and powerful firepower instantly suppressed the magical beasts' offensive.

Wu Liang, taking the lead, charged into the magical beast horde.

He wielded a long blade, its light flashing, and each swing claimed the life of a magical beast.

"Beast Blood Burning!"

Wu Liang roared inwardly, and a powerful force instantly surged through his entire body.

His speed and strength instantly soared, and he became like a human killing machine, rampaging through the magical beast horde.

"Bang!"

A giant wild boar attempting to attack Wu Liang's flank was smashed to pieces by his punch, its massive body flying backward and knocking down a swath of rubber trees.

"Roar!"

A three-eyed magical beast pounced on Wu Liang, its sharp claws gleaming coldly.

Wu Liang did not retreat but advanced, his body flashing as he dodged the magical beast's pounce.

The long blade in his hand, from bottom to top, fiercely stabbed into the magical beast's abdomen.

The blade pierced through the scales, bringing out a foul-smelling blood.

The magical beast let out a painful wail, and its massive body crashed to the ground.

Akomann also led the Black Rock Army warriors charging in, their spears and shields creating a bloody storm among the magical beasts.

The warriors cooperated seamlessly, forming battle formations, and slaying the scattered magical beasts one by one.

The Cat-eared People's morale greatly boosted upon seeing Wu Liang and the Black Rock Tribe's reinforcements arrive.

They also raised their bows, arrows, and spears, joining the Black Rock Tribe warriors in the counterattack.

Mia also followed behind Wu Liang, quickly moving among the injured Cat-eared People and Artisans, helping them bandage their wounds.

Wu Liang was in the thick of the fight, his eyes fixed on the rear of the magical beast horde.

He could feel a more powerful aura gradually approaching.

"Found you!"

Wu Liang sneered.

After an intense battle, most of the magical beasts in the rubber plantation had been cleared out.

The remaining magical beasts also began to show signs of retreat, letting out terrified roars and fleeing towards the depths of the rainforest.

Just then, a fierce gust of wind suddenly swept in from the depths of the rainforest, accompanied by a deafening roar.

"Roar—!"

The roar shook the entire ground. The leaves on the rubber trees rustled, and some Cat-eared People even felt dizzy from the sound wave.

Wu Liang's gaze instantly locked onto the depths of the rainforest.

"It's here!"

The fierce wind howled, carrying the humid air and the scent of decaying leaves from the rainforest.

That roar carried an indescribable pressure, causing both the magical beasts and beastmen present to involuntarily feel a tremor in their hearts.

Wu Liang could clearly feel that this aura far surpassed any magical beast he had encountered before.

"Everyone, be careful!"

Wu Liang shouted loudly.

In the depths of the rainforest, a massive dark silhouette moved swiftly between the trees.

Each leap covered tens of meters.

Its speed was astonishing; in almost the blink of an eye, it went from the depths of the rainforest to the edge of the rubber plantation.

It was a massive tiger, covered in black stripes, its muscles bulging, full of explosive power.

Its eyes were like two red lanterns, emitting a bloodthirsty glow.

Most strikingly, it actually had a pair of huge fleshy wings on its back.

"Storm Tiger!"

Mia's face changed, and she blurted out.

Her voice held a hint of fear.

Wu Liang asked, "You know it?"

Mia clenched her fists, her knuckles turning slightly white.

"That is one of the most powerful magical beasts in the depths of the Wailing Swamp. Legend says it possesses the power to control storms."

Wu Liang's gaze was fixed on the Storm Tiger.

With every step it took, the ground seemed to tremble.

The magical beasts that were previously fleeing stopped their escape after the Storm Tiger appeared.

Instead, as if summoned by some force, they regrouped, letting out low growls, seemingly waiting for the Storm Tiger's command.

"So it's controlling the Beast Tide."

Wu Liang could feel the powerful magical energy fluctuations emanating from the Storm Tiger.

This magical beast had probably reached the level of a Magical Beast Lord.

The Storm Tiger's gaze swept across the rubber plantation, and it let out a low growl from its throat.

It locked its gaze on Wu Liang.

"Roar—!"

The Storm Tiger leaped suddenly, its massive body soaring into the air, and pounced towards Wu Liang.

Its speed was like lightning, carrying a fierce wind, as if it wanted to tear Wu Liang to shreds.

Wu Liang did not dodge; he knew that facing a magical beast of this level, any retreat would only make the opponent more arrogant.

He gripped his long blade tightly, his body slightly crouched, all his strength converging at this moment.

"Good!"

The moment the Storm Tiger pounced in front of him, Wu Liang fiercely swung his long blade.

The blade, with a whistling sound, fiercely struck at the Storm Tiger's paw.

"Clang!"

A colossal clang, like metal striking metal, rang out as Wu Liang's long blade and the Storm Tiger's sharp claws collided fiercely.

The Storm Tiger was shaken back a few steps by this force, and a shallow blade mark actually appeared on its paw.

The Storm Tiger let out an angry roar, not expecting this human to be able to block its full-power attack.

It lowered its head and looked at its paw; although the blade mark wasn't deep, it infuriated it greatly.

"Roar!"

The Storm Tiger pounced again, this time its speed was faster, and its attack more ferocious.

It opened its gaping maw, revealing sharp fangs, and bit towards Wu Liang's neck.

Wu Liang shifted his body to the side, narrowly dodging the Storm Tiger's bite.

At the same time, his long blade swung out again, aiming directly for the Storm Tiger's neck.

The Storm Tiger's reaction was also quick; it sharply flicked its head, avoiding Wu Liang's attack.

Its tail swept across like a steel whip, accompanied by a whistling wind.

Wu Liang reacted quickly; he tapped his foot, his body soaring into the air, dodging the Storm Tiger's tail sweep.

In mid-air, he chopped downwards with his long blade, aiming directly for the Storm Tiger's back.

The Storm Tiger's back was covered with tough scales; Wu Liang's long blade struck it, only emitting a dull thud, causing no significant damage.

"Damn it, its defense is really strong!"
