Chapter 6 - Mischievous

Katarina Von Rochelli has surprised her entire mansion and even the castle with her antics. Everyone in the Markets know her as the running and chaotic noble girl who has her entire family in worry but absolutely adore her due to her kindness.

"During a stroll in the market..." a merchant describes...

It was a fine day for my wares to sell. I have come from the north to sell the pottery there in the capital. My Brother lived here and he had set up a shop so I sell my wares there.

"Here Bro, another box" I said to him. "You always bring in huge amount that it takes two months to sell everything" He said. "Atleast they are popular" I said smiling. Then I met her.

"Old Man! I want that pottery you showed me the other day! Yow told that the stock would come today!" said a cheerful girl, with yellow hair and noble clothing.

"Bro, who's the lady?" I asked clearly understanding that she was a higher standing.

"Oh, she is the normal customer to my shop here. She always wanders the market until her guards find her" he said as he looked at the girl.

"Pick one you like Little Miss, but you have money right?" he asked.

"No, but my guards who will be following me might have some!" she said excitedly.

"But that would be stealing of their money given by your father right?" he said.

"What? Stealing? Hmm...yeah you're right! I will 'borrow' money! I will return immediately!" she said and vanished instantly.

I could barely hear the door opening and closing but she left. "Where did she go?" I asked. "No one can be that fast!" I said confused. "Well, she is unique for being very fast. She even shared some stories how she escaped her mansion with guards awake all day to prevent her from escaping" he said. "Troublesome child huh?" I sighed. "Yeah and No. For her family, it would be difficult to handle such a girl who is running the markets at four years old but for us sellers she is actually kind and honest, always taking advice, being kind and sharing her items only asking for to tell anything of the name 'Yuki' and 'Akio' to her and we thought she was searching for someone but we never found the kids with that name" he said a small smile forming in his face.

I continued my work to lay the pottery down in a neat arrangement in the shelves.

It was just five minutes since the little girl left but again she appeared with one gold coin.

"I only could find this without getting caught from my father, so I came here with this, is this enough?" she asked beaming with excitement. I looked at the gold coin. It was real. She was a noble girl. My brother was practically swoon over after seeing the gold coin. I mean, even I am happy. With that she can buy probably all of my wares.

"You can buy everything here in this shop, little miss!" my brother said crying over that gold coin.

"Really? Are you Sure?!" she asked.

"Yes!" he cried out with joy.

Talk about devotion. Just then someone entered. "Lady Katarina, you mustn't wander out the mansion everyday. Honestly, you are giving more headache to your father, The Lord than to us who are running behind you..." said a soldier.

"Ah, it seems I got caught again. Also, old man! Tell if you know someone named Yuki or Akio if you find them!" she said as she was carried by the guard.

"Yes, little miss" he said smiling.

"Hey, you mustn't call Lady Katarina like that. Call her properly!" said one of the newer and younger guards glaring at us.

"Hey! He's my friend! Let him call whatever he want to call me!" she said.

"Y-Yes, My Lady" he bowed apologetically and left with the girl.

The girl turned once more and tossed the gold coin to us. "That is your payment for the pots and for to gain news on Yuki and Akio! Share it with your friends like the one next to you! I will tell these guys to carry all of those later, okay?" she said smiling brightly. It was the first time seeing a noble lady honest, childish and human.

"Yes little miss!" he said catching the gold coin and practically bowing down to her.

"Everyone! Can we play hide and seek here?" Katarina asked her guards.

"No my lady, your Lord Father is already tired of you sneaking out. He might fire us after this!" one guard squeaked.

"What? Don't mind him! He can never fire you guys. You are all under me. Only I can fire you!" she said.

"What...?" whispered the guards confused. Just then she vanished from the hold of the guard carrying her.

"Let's race to my house! Last to come gets his face painted!" she said up ahead of the soldiers.

The guards sighed as they rushed behind her unable to catch her. Many commoners and merchants viewed her.

"Ah its the young miss!" said one vendor.

"Hey! Everyone! Katarina is here again running!" said one of the kids, all of whom followed her.

"Have you got any news everyone?" she asked looking back at the kids.

"No, there is no kid named Yuki or Akio!" said the leader of the group. "Aww...man, alright! New Task for all of you, if any kid acts weirdly or cries or says something about Suzuka, you must inform me immediately! If you can't find me here. Come to the mansion!" she said pointing at the mansion next to the castle.

"Yes!" said the Kids in unison as they scattered.

The Guards followed her.

"She is four years old! How is she faster than us? I get the kids who are like 10 or 12 following her but how is she faster than all of us?" a newbie recruit asked who was panting as he ran at full speed.

"She has told herself that she has the Skill: Supersonic Speed to everyone. That's how no matter how we watch her all day in the mansion, she can escape" said a experienced guard who was also her Captain of the Guard.

"What? Supersonic Speed? Isn't that like one of the legendary skills?" asked the recruit.

"Yeah and apparently she is also born on the same day as the Holy Saint!" said the guard.

"What?!" said the recruit surprised.

"Hahaha...well we need to follow her to the mansion. We need to be quick boys. Think of this as her personal training!" said the guard.

"Yes sir!" they all said in unison.

The merchant recited the entire scene to the Lady who suddenly called him out introducing herself as one of her secret guard.

With Isodelle,

Aina gave her character and premise exactly as told by the merchant. It was definitely Suzuka. Sonic Speed is the Skill which she took when she picked her skills from the realm.

It seems Suzuka is searching for our brothers, Yuki and Akio. Good call. With her speed she can practically cover ground in the capital and search for them quickly. If she started around two months ago when I and she turned four, then she couldn't found them. The capital is huge. 600000 people live here. It is split into several zones. And since it is not as dense as Japan, it would be more difficult to gain intel. Her idea will work but will take a very long time.

I must meet her as quickly as possible. "Excellent work Aina, how is the recruitment going?" I asked. "Well, it is going well. Having the Royal Mage is more than helpful" she said. Yes, I personally requested the Royal Mage for him to appraise potential candidates for recruitment. I want the best of the best for this position. The others are put into training. Apparently she is extremely strict and they do day to day errands like lifting, moving and sometimes even Bandit Subjugation from the Adventurer's Guild.

Our competition is high though. Private Mercenary Companies already exists in the open world in the city. It goes to show how the Royal Family didn't learn everything in the city.

"Here" I said giving a pouch.

Aina opened it and saw 20 gold coins, her jaw dropping.

"Is it enough for this month's payment?" I asked.

"M-My....Lady...this is enough for more than 3 years of salary..." said Aina.

Gold is too much worth huh. "Well keep it. Use it as their salary, their training, why even buy gear for them!" I said.

"I see..." murmured Aina. In her mind,

My Lady is showing compassion to commoners...lavish salaries is like a dream for them...with this...the other mercenary companies will surely be put out of business, guess I have played right into her arms huh. She has me completely wrapped. She plans for complete monopoly of all mercenaries in the city. Already the Red Crimson Mercenary Company was seeking eyes from others who joined us. The Holy Saint is...not only a saint...A Once in a generation prodigy and a genius way beyond her years...she is the true master I have searched for. She must be a genius in the sword too...no, she is a master in everything she does...

But what to do, unfortunately to Aina...

"Damn, are the history games wrong? Are Mercenary Companies cheap? Then why did that game that cost me around 40000 yen for all dlcs and the premium edition have mercenaries crazy expensive? I was paying like 30 gold per month running a deficit while here they are getting shocked over just 20 gold"

Isodelle was thinking of a game which she brought for her and her siblings using her pocket money given by her grandparents, the one who took care of them all until she was 12 when they too left and they became orphans.

Now I must deal with my Father, who under no circumstances will let me out...fine I will have to use his greatest weakness then...I smirked.

"Sebastian!" I called out.

He bowed deeply. "Yes, my Lady"

"I need to meet my Mother...now!" I declared.
