Regulus walked out of the neon-lit side alley with his hands tucked into his side pockets, while his wife, Number 215, followed him wordlessly with every step he took.
His golden eyes took in a hundred different things at once as he stood on the sidewalk, grinning confidently to himself. But what immediately caught his attention most were neither the neon-lit, gigantic buildings nor the thousands of people crowding the streets.
"I mean, really… those strange, metallic carriages on the streets are deafening with their wildly excessive noise, without any reasonable consideration for other people. How very rude of them, don't you think too, Number 215?"
His wife then glanced at him briefly with fearful eyes and an emotionless face
"You are, of course, absolutely right, Regulus-sama,"
she replied in a respectful voice, whereupon Regulus's face twisted into an indignant expression and he sighed loudly, while passersby cast a few curious glances his way without drawing attention to themselves.
Fortunately for them however he didn't notice them and instead extended an elegant hand to his wife with a proud grin on his face, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, which she naturally accepted immediately and the two walked through the crowded streets.
At about the same time, a figure moved with lightning speed and silence from rooftop to rooftop above the city, then effortlessly dropped into a neon-lit side alley with a series of wall jumps.
The man was tall and had an athletic build, wearing a jujitsu uniform. He had thick, long, black hair and a weary look in his eyes.
"Hmm, looks like I did sense something after all." The man gazed thoughtfully at the spot where the curse spirit had apparently met its end.
"Someone defeated a curse spirit here just a few minutes ago, but... there's no trace of cursed energy in the area," Geto thought to himself, his expression clearly intrigued.
"Perhaps someone that posesses an heavenly restriction. If that were the case, then that person might have one similar to this… monkey" he said aloud, as he couldn't explain it any other way.
While Geto was now thinking about how to find the person responsible for this, a loud, explosive BANG! suddenly rang out in the distance, followed by the sound of collapsing walls.
About a minute earlier, Regulus had strolled from the street into a large open area that was destined to become a building still under construction. The construction site consisted almost entirely of already-built foundations, walls, and a few ceilings, while he appeared to be relatively relaxed.
He stood halfway through, with the unfinished building complexes on either side of him, when mere moments later he was struck by a concentrated, shockwave-like force out of nowhere and completely taken by surprise, struck screaming through several walls and crashed into one of the buildings.
Surrounded by dusty and stony walls, Regulus immediately straightened up, his expression now radiating a mixture of utter bewilderment, rage, and indignation.
Physically, he was completely unaffected by the attack or any other effects, as not even a single speck of dust could affect his existence.
His sharp, golden eyes immediately locked onto what he perceived to be the obvious perpetrator of this heinous act.
Standing about 10 meters in front of him was a creature roughly 2 meters tall with a humanoid-like body, though it consisted entirely of a sort of gray bodily mass, and its face consisted of nothing more than a mouth and a large eye above it.
Barely a moment later, Regulus spoke in a annoyed and irritated voice
"Now listen... this is already the second time in a very short period that I've been physically attacked for no reason by you disrespectful creatures. Do you mindless barbarians think this is funny? I claim it to be absolutely not funny since my rights have been constantly violated and disregarded ever since I was forced into this absurd, sick, and violence-promoting environment against my will!"
The creature looked at him the next moment as distorted, derisive laughter escaped from its mouth, and Regulus suddenly went absolutely silent as he glared at the creature with murderous eyes.
His hands then clenched into massive fists out of uncontrollable rage as he opened his mouth slightly... and exhaled a blast of air.
A moment later, the creature's entire right arm and everything behind it were effortlessly obliterated by an invisible and unstoppable force, causing the creature to recoil several steps in shock.
Regulus, who now saw the bewilderment in the creature's eyes, looked back at it with a diabolical grin on his face and slowly walked toward it, even as the creature's arm regenerated, yet it continued to recoil in fear.
"What's wrong? Just a moment ago you felt the need to mock my rights, and now you're trembling and backing away from me in fear as you have wittnessed the very fact that you are nothing but a weak, litte Scumbag?"
As Regulus spoke, the Cursed Spirit leaped backward at a quite fast speed across the hard asphalt and stood once more beneath the open night sky.
Now, emitting distorted, hate-filled sounds and with eyes boiling over with hatred, the creature stretched both arms toward Regulus and concentrated cursed energy, which he unleashed in the next moment as a destructive shockwave.
The shockwave tore chunks of stone from the ground, shattered walls, and made the air itself tremble, but Regulus negated it and all the debris coming toward him just before they could reach him, creating a seemingly invisible bubble of air in the reality around him.
He certainly wouldn't fall for the same attack a second time, so he likewise froze time around him in the form of an invisible bubble.
The Cursed Spirit sent out more and more powerful shockwaves, while Regulus simply stood still and glared at the creature with a wicked smile, after which the shockwaves had destroyed pretty much the entire building complex behind him.
It was simply unbelievable for the Cursed Spirit as absolutely none of its attacks seemed to have even the slightest effect against this man.
"It seems your worthless existence has finally grasped reality. I am the strongest person in the entire world. absolutely no one, neither the Divine Dragon nor the so called Sword Saint have even the slightest chance of defeating me. With my rights, my authority, nothing can harm me."
"Let me now demonstrate you pathetic creature what the consequences of violating a poor man's rights can look like!"
As soon he had spoken these words as if they were a matter of course, Regulus decided to strike the creature with light-speed through his authority, completely caughting it offguard and grabbing it by it's throat as he effortlessly lifted it into the air with one arm.
Screaming and lashing wildly, the cursed spirit tried to break free from this human's grip, but to no avail.
It was as if its blows simply couldn't affect him, whereupon Regulus scowled with a now rather annoyed expression, took a slight swing with the arm holding it, aimed toward the moon, as a little smile formed into his face.
The next moment, defying all laws of gravity, he launched the cursed spirit into the air at an absurd speed, sending it flying farther and farther through the atmosphere and stratosphere toward the moon, its screams warping as it encountered no air resistance because of his authority until it was completely crushed upon impact on the moon's surface.
Regulus, who had been watching this and was now grinning with satisfaction, brushed proudly imaginary dust from his shoulders when he suddenly saw Number 215 standing in the distance next to an other man with long, black hair...
