The moment I thought the situation could not possibly become worse more people entered. Of course they did. The doors opened again and this time it was not servants carrying wedding decorations. It was scholars, actual scholars. Old terrifying scholars with stacks of books thick enough to qualify as weapons.
"No." I whispered immediately.
"Yes." Queen Rosana replied with terrifying calm.
"I recognize educational assassins." Ben muttered.
"I ACCEPT KNOWLEDGE FEAR." Riko whispered dramatically.
"You fear vegetables." Leo replied.
"THEY ARE UNPREDICTABLE."Riko said.
"They are carrots."Leo said.
"I ACCEPT AGGRESSIVE CARROTS."Riko said.
I stared in horror as Rosana stepped proudly toward the entering tutors like she was unveiling military reinforcements.
"These." She announced calmly. "Are the finest royal tutors in the kingdom."
"I reject them." I said instantly.
"They reject your grades." Director Vale replied.
