"You absolutely have to go, Amara!" Pearl said, crossing her arms tightly as we sat back inside the quiet infirmary room.
"I don't even have anything to wear, Pearl," I sighed, looking down at my plain clothes. "And honestly, I really just don't want to go."
"Oh, don't worry about that at all," Pearl said with a huge, excited grin. She reached into her bag and pulled out a garment bag. "I already got a dress for you a few days ago, just in case you felt better!"
While I stared at the bag in shock, Pearl and Des immediately started talking about their own plans for the night.
"Well, a few guys from B-class already asked me to go with them," Pearl said, flipping her hair with a proud smile. "But I think I might just go with that cute ice mage from the second-year class if he asks me again."
Des chuckled, leaning against the wall. "I think I am just going to ask Lana from our herbology class. I've been wanting to ask her all week, so hopefully, she says yes."
