Eden walked out of the target zone to see the man from earlier standing there.
At this point, Eden had already figured out that he might be a B-rank or A-rank, as only they could use minor skills without saying them out loud.
Eden just wanted to ignore the man and walk away, but it seemed that was not happening.
"Hey kid," Teacher Ben said. "I felt the energy level of Ninety coming from the target zone. Do you, by any chance, know anything about that?"
"Damn, he sensed that," Eden thought.
"No, sir. I only delivered lunch to my brother, and that was it," Eden said with a straight face.
Ben tried to search for any signs on his face that he might be lying, but he found none.
"You may leave," Ben said with a wave of his hand.
Eden nodded and then left.
"Hmm, I don't know what is so off about you, but I will find out," Ben mumbled to himself before he left the place.
Eden came back home and immediately went straight to his room.
He took a hot shower and lay on his bed as he thought about today's events.
"Where did that power come from? I am sure that power did not come from me. It felt like it came from somewhere else," Eden thought.
"And what about my white core and the fact that I could control more than one element? What is up with that?" Eden mumbled.
Knock. Knock.
"Hey, little bro, you home?" Austin asked as he slightly opened the door.
"Yeah, I'm good," Eden said.
"Great. So did you activate your life core?" Austin asked.
Eden looked at the guy sitting in front of him and felt nothing but hatred in his heart, but he was able to hide it.
"No, I did not activate my life core."
"Well, that sucks. Don't worry, I will protect you," Austin said with a smile.
"Protect my ass," Eden thought.
"Yeah, I trust you, bro."
After a few pleasantries, Austin left the room.
"Huh, thought he would never leave," Eden said.
Eden lay on his back as he stared at his hand.
"The next step would be to enroll in an academy," Eden thought.
Since he had activated his life core, he had reached the caliber required to register for a trial at an academy.
"Hey, Helen, give me an update on all the academies in Haven City," Eden asked.
Helen, the smart AI in his room, immediately gave him a list of all the academies in Haven City by projecting them into his mind.
Haven Academy
KJA Academy
Humanity Academy
And many more. The ones listed above were the best of the best.
Eden couldn't go to the academy he attended in his past life since his life core was different, but that didn't stop him from going to an academy.
After swiping through the list of academies he could go to, he later decided on one of the last academies:
Honors Academy.
They were one of the best academies in Haven City. Some of the city's legends graduated from there, but they seemed to be in decline recently. With an absence of talents and a lack of funds, they had since fallen from their pedestal.
The main reason he wanted to go there was because of their history. They might have knowledge about his white core.
"I guess I'm going to Honors Academy, but first I will need some new gear."

In a huge castle, two men sat facing each other, and they seemed to be in a heated discussion.
"So you say you also felt the energy level as well?" Ben said.
"Yes, sir," Adam replied.
"We tried to get there as fast as possible, but we were just too late."
"Huh," Ben sighed and looked out the window.
"Forget about that for now. Prepare for the trial exams," Ben said.
"Sir, we have barely had any special talents in years. Is there even a need for the trial anymore?" Adam asked.
"I understand your frustration, but we have to continue with the exams as scheduled. You understand?" Ben said firmly.
"I understand," Adam said and nodded.

Eden walked into Haven Central Market.
Lots of cool things were up for sale, but none of that was what caught his eye.
In his past life, he was able to get a bargain at a shop located east of the market.
It seemed they were in desperate need of money, as they were basically doing a giveaway, and that was where Eden purchased his suit.
After a few turns and twists, he arrived at the store.
A sweet teenage girl was there, totally different from his past life when it was an old man.
"What happened? Did I go to the wrong store?" Eden thought.
"Hello, sir. What would you like to buy?" the girl said in a sweet voice that soothed the mind and wore a smile that would make one forget their worries.
Eden was partially mesmerized by her smile but later broke out of it.
"Um... do you guys sell suits?" Eden asked.
"Suits? Yes, we do," the girl said, then went into the store and walked out with a case in tow.
She dropped the case and opened it. Inside was the suit he bought in his past life.
Eden was very excited to see it, but he controlled himself and asked for the price.
"One thousand Haven dollars," she said, and Eden froze.
He didn't have that kind of money. All he brought into the market was a hundred dollars, and that was all his savings.
Though the price was actually too cheap for the suit he wanted to buy, in his past life it was way cheaper than that.
The girl seemed to notice Eden's abnormal reaction and smiled.
"If you don't have the money, I will just drop it for someone who would actually buy it," she said.
"Wait!" Eden yelled. "Is there anything else I can do to get that suit?"
"You really want the suit, don't you?" she asked, and Eden nodded.
"Okay then, beat me in a sparring match."
