In the infirmary, ace was sitting in a chair across from where Alex was resting. David was leaning on a wall nearby. Neither spoke, just taking in what happened.
Ace's fingers twitched against the armrest of the infirmary chair, his gaze locked onto Alex's bandaged face. The steady beep of the heart monitor filled the silence like a ticking bomb. David shifted against the wall, finally breaking the quiet. "They're accelerating the tournament. Tomorrow."
Ace didn't blink. "Good. That means it should be first thing in the mourning." A hint of aggression was in his tone. It was clear that nick and his associates weren't the only reason for it.
David looked at him for a bit before shaking his head. He had already apologized. Although he did feel like shit, dragging himself through the mud would do no good at the moment.
Ace took one more good look at alex before standing up and walking out. David followed shortly. It was around time for everyone to get dressed.
Right now they both had only one thought.
"How do we make them pay?" But david vocalized it.
As they got back to the main room, they were already dressed. "It's simple. In fact, Ill take care of it." Ace looked a bit on edge, David wondered if he was going to go too far.
When he got into class, everyone was on edge. Ever since what happened, the kids who tried to escape hadn't been seen in a while. Nick had garnered a reputation of fear. Everyone was seeming more and more eager to band together now.
Ace sat in his chair, semi close to david. Neither one of them looked at each other. After a long moment of silence, David took Alex's seat.
"If i kill the bastard will you promise to drop this cold act? If I render him unable to harm anyone again will that make things go back to normal?"
Ace turned to him, albeit a little confused. "If you can somehow pull that off, it would be nice. But i now know going forward if anyone is to fuck up a plan, it will be you. Lets promise to both do our jobs this time."
Just then Mr baron entered the classroom.
"Good mourning class. Tonight will be more history. Very simple stuff."
Ace was already tuning him out. He simply zoned out until the next part of the day, sparring. Ace still hadn't yet revealed his power, but that was soon to chance later on in the night.
As ace got to the training room, Eric was there to meet him. As he walked up, he had a hand on his forehead. "Some kids in this place are true agents of satan. Why jump someone? All of you are too young for this."
Ace walked past him, straight faced. "Enough yammering. I want to see my progress, not so much your pity."
Eric was wide eyed, then a smile came to his face.
"I know that attitude. You got some steam to work off don't you? Well, seeing as how you're being an ass, ill have no issue going a little harder to match it."
Ace rolled his shoulders as he got in a fighting stance, telling him to come over with his hands.
Eric Dashed forward throwing a right.
Ace dodged it, throwing a punch that connected with his liver. He had also mad the mistake of throwing his entire body weight into it.
Looking up, Ace saw that Eric was hurt, but by no means slowed down. Eric delivered a kick to his side that knocked the wind out of Ace, before sending an elbow his way as well.
However, Ace was not moving. Eric threw a kick and Ace ducked under it, delivering a gut punch. It seemed Ace would not leave his stomach area alone.
With every strike that came him way, he managed to withstand it, evade it or make it barely even land, rendering the damage minimal.
Ace was putting up one hell of a fight however, Eric had enough. 'If this continues, the later half of lunch is coming back up. I gotta end this.'
Eric did a faint. He Faked and overhead, making Ace go for a duck. Just as he was about to strike, it was too late. Eric already had a "Teep kick" aimed right for his face.
*POW*
As Ace backed up, he had a bloody mouth.
He was breathing heavily, and seemed more mad than before. Eric knew he wouldn't have been able to pull that off under normal circumstances. This kid was too smart for that. What gives?
Eric was a bit worried for him. This kid allegedly had no friends and was now walking around all angry. All that anger and no allies, he was bound to do something he couldn't afford to take the consequences of.
He put his hands up. "Listen kid, do you wanna talk about what happened, or just be angry in silence?"
Ace stared at him for a bit. "I actually do have a friend. They just aren't in a great predicament at the moment. I'm…trying not to do something that I would regret. I was never the cautious type, but I don't want even more trouble."
Eric rubbed the back of his head. "Caution is good, Anger doesn't have to be bad either. The way to go about it is to aim it properly."
Ace nodded. He Applied this to those young boys. The ones who beat up Alex. 'I know that I should do something. But as a man, it doesn't feel right. These are still children even if they are put in a game to brutalize each other.'
Ace just felt stuck at the moment. But he had noticed, David wasn't with his instructor. Hell he wasn't even in the room.

POV:David
Back in the infirmary, David had gone to check up on Alex. He was slowly getting better.
After that he went to check on the other person there.
Nelson love. His bed was blocked from view by a sheet. Ace moved it. He saw a boy with bandages all over his face and a seemingly emotionless expression, yet David knew he was brewing with anger.
"Why are you here?" Nelson was beyond furious that anyone but the doctors would even come visit.
Nobody wanted to stop Nick when he was bashing his face in. None of the staff members intervened until he was half dead.
If Nelson was fully recovered, this person would have claw marks all across his face.
But life was not so forgiving.
David had A look of nonchalance on his face.
"I've come to make a request, or rather do you a favor."
Nelson was confused. "Those are two different things. Speak clearly." One could tell he was getting annoyed.
"I need you to come to the tournament, even in your terribly bad condition."
Nelson was seconds from pouncing on him in his injured state. "And why would I do that?"
David couldn't hold in his smile anymore.
"So that you can get a front row seat to watch as I kill the one who did this to you."
