Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

At night, Drake sent the primordials to the Ark dimension and went to bed with Ponta by his side.

Moss was still out, doing his mission. But with his efficiency, Drake didn't doubt he would have news soon.

Helena didn't need to rest so she spend the night watching k-dramas and surfing the web.

The next day, Friday, Drake had to go to school. He had been absent for a month, just thinking the amount of work he had to copy made his hand numb. After getting ready and eating breakfast with his parents he went to the bus stop.

Drake was thinking of quitting school and initiate a business group. Selling ark resources and item would only give him profits and not loss.

Nonetheless, he knew his parents wouldn't let him quit school and insist to at least finish high school. It was only a few months lefts anyway. But there was nothing stopping him from starting his business now.

It was 8:00 am when he arrived at school and he immediately felt the stares and murmurs, with his enhanced senses he could he what they were saying: 'who is that handsome?' 'A new guy?' 'Why do I feel like he will take my girlfriend away?' 'I feel chills just looking at him'

Drake wasn't flustered and went to his classroom, he sat at the back in one corner and ignored everyone.

As more students entered the room, Drake recognized some of them, from his memories and from the movies. He saw Flash Thompson, Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy and finally, Peter Parker. They were all seniors but according to MCU, their ages didn't add up with the timeline.

Peter Parker became spider man two years ago and was the only spider at the moment. He wondered if Gwen and Miles Morales would become spiders too. Miles was in another classroom.

When Gwen saw Drake, her eyes widened but she quickly masked her shock and walked up next to him and said:

"I heard from Dad that you had changed but I didn't expect you to change this much. You look like a different person, not in a bad way. I mean, it's good that nothing happened to you and I'm glad your okay."

Drake smiled, "thanks Gwen, it's nice to be back."

Gwen nodded and sat in the seat in front of him.

The rest of the students looked at went talking to Drake and wondered if they knew each other. They still couldn't recognize him. Those who knew Drake, only felt like he was familiar.

Drake didn't know but the aura that leaked from him unconsciously was making some of the men sweat with nervousness and the girls felt flustered, wanting to go say hi but feeling shy.

Drake's Hero's haki and shadow monarch presence were completely opposite auras. One made people feel awe and the other made them feel chills.

At 8:30 the teacher entered the classroom and noticed the disturbance in the air. She wondered what happened, usually everyone would be speaking and being loud but right now they were silent.

She is the math teacher and her name is Gladis Pitts. She was in her thirties, black straight hair, beautiful face and nice body.

Gladis ignored the disturbance in the air and started taking attendance. Everyone was confirming their presence but the teacher habitually skipped Drake's name since he has been absent for a month. At the end, Drake had no choice but to raised his hand and say:

"Miss, you forgot my name."

Gladis looked at Drake and didn't recognize him but still asked, "who are you? Are you a new student?"

"_"

Drake was speechless. He felt he wasn't that different from before but he still shook his head no and said, "no, I'm Drake Martinez."

"_"

Now was the teacher's turn to be speechless. This student went absent for a month and came back so different. Was he taking a plastic surgery and was recuperating? But didn't the police say he was missing? They even came to the school to investigate.

"Drake? Weren't you missing for two weeks now? When did you get back?"

Drake just smile wryly and said, "well yes, but I'm back now and I'm fine."

Gladis took another looked at Drake's face and she had to agree that this student was handsome, even she felt her heart strings being pulled.

"I see, well, welcome back. I hope you get up to date with all your assignments. You until next Monday to present your work or you won't be graded."

The more shocked were the students, they finally remembered this missing student. They were amazed by his changes. Murmurs filled the room.

'Did he have a plastic surgery?' 'Do you think he has a girlfriend?' 'The ugly duck turned into a swan' 'he's too hot to be legal.'

Soon, the classes went smoothly and every time a teacher came and saw Drake, they would be shock before moving on. The school was filled with gossip about the new hunk of a man in third grade.

At lunch, Drake sat at the cafeteria alone as usual but he noticed many girls trying to seat near him only to take a detour, too shy to seat close to him.

Drake didn't care about anything and acted normally like any other day. When is was time to go home, Drake asked Gwen if he could borrow her books since she was the only one he tolerated enough to ask.

Gwen looked at him and said:

"You can have them, or you could come over to my house and I'll help you out, what do you think?"

Gwen had her cheeks rosy when she asked this. She didn't know where she got her courage from but felt that this was a good opportunity.

Drake look indifferent and said, "that won't be necessary, I don't want to bother you too much. I just need the books."

There was disappointment in Gwen's eyes as she just gave her books to Drake. It was not that Drake was a dense shounen protagonist, it's just that he was not interested in superficial love.

Gwen had been desk mates with him for a long time and had never showed any interest in him before. Why would she now? Just because he was handsome now?

Drake was no playing hard to get, he just wanted more sincere feelings.

As he was walking to the bus stop, he felt something invading his brain. It was weak, so Drake probed what it was and it turned out to be Moss's mental communication.

"My lord, I have found Tony Stark. How do you want me to proceed?"

Drake wasn't surprised by Moss' efficiency and replied, "for the moment, just observe. When he is done building his armor and when he is getting ready to leave the cave, let me know."

"Understood."

As soon as Drake got home, he let Ponta out and Helena deactivated her camouflage.

"Helena, I want you to make apps for money. What do we need?"

Helena hovered in front of him thinking about this world technology and said, "I can design a supercomputer and servers so you can craft them in your implant but you'll still need a physical place to install them. I suggest you rent an office building and install the servers and computers there. They will be small but with enough storage to copy everything in the internet one hundred times and still have space for more data."

"What apps are you planning to make?" Helena asked.

"One app for streaming and posting short videos and texting called TikTok. One for streaming movies and anime. Finally an AI that helps people with homework." Drake answered. He didn't plan on making anything big yet.

"I can make them easily. Just get a place to install the supercomputers and servers and I'll have them ready." Helena said proudly.

"Can you also make movies and anime? I'd like to make anime and stream it myself." Drake asked.

"I can. But I think it's better to make an AI for it. Don't worry though, I'll build you the best AI comparable to me so she can work more efficiently."

Drake nodded and fell into deep thought, he didn't have money right now. How could he get it? Sell gold? Rob? Save Tony early?
