At the intersection near the bakery.
Jack sat on a bench under the shadow of a tree while looking towards the kids playing with sticks.
This tastes amazing. The family size bread he just bought that was twice the size of his head was halfway eaten.
He took another piece of the bread and placed it in his mouth, while chewing he began to sort what information he just got.
Ok, so first my name is Jack, apparently I have a friend named Aldric and a possible family that might be dead called April and.. Gale!
Placing his left leg over the other he looked towards the road he came from.
There is a disease, they might have died from it. There is also a slum, but I don't think that's where I'm from the way uhh.. Delma talked about it.
Looking at the children playing he saw an older child in a shirt that was cleaner than the other children, he had his stick forward with his arm extended.
He wasn't just swinging the stick around like the other children, he parried all the attacks that came towards him then immediately stabbing or swinging at the opponent.
He seems skilled.. But Jack's thoughts were interrupted when he saw the other children group up on the "Skilled" child.
He chuckled; Apparently, even the most skilled kid couldn't beat a determined mob.
He looked down at the one fourth of the bread in his hands. This one costs ten copper coins—Ten Flora, and its probably the more expensive type of breads, with my current budget I could survive at least another month.
He placed his leg back down. But this doesn't solve my problems, I don't know how much money I can make here.
No I don't know if I can even work here.
What sort of work did Jack do before I took over his body?
". . ." Looking down the bread he had purchased was already eaten.
He inhaled deeply and exhaled while tapping the coins in his pockets.
I should have brought the little bag with me. Should I return back? He looked towards the road he came from.
It's about a kilometer away until the shrine and almost two until I make it back. At that moment the flash of the bloated corpse resurfaced in his mind.
Maybe later.
He stood up, circled the bench a little unsteadily as he regained his balance, then looked around, saw a road sloping downward, and decided to go towards it.
Just before the cobbled road slowly descended downwards the warm breeze blew past him as he saw the half-timbered houses, granite brick as well as a few ornamented red brick houses closely packed together, their roofs were either black slated or reddish clay tiles.
Some of which had chimneys that rose smoke up into the blue skies. The sea beyond the port reflected the rays of the now risen sun.
At the edge of the town he could see the large beach that slowly turned into a green field of grass.
It's beautiful.. He leaned onto the wall of a house while taking in the landscape.
Down the road into the distance he saw a large opening with a decorated twelve hour clock-tower.
Around it were multiple shade cloths put up in many different colors, from the gaps he was able to see a few merchant stalls and some produce he couldn't make out.
He began to slowly walk down the street towards the market while looking around at the houses that became more and more opulent.
The calm street suddenly broke apart.
"Out of the way!"
From bellow a fully armored guard riding a horse made his presence known.
The people made way allowing the armored man to pass through.
. . .
The smell of fish mixed with another sweet smell was in the air.
The market was noisy.
The stalls had no shortage of sea produce or textiles but the other stalls didn't do so well.
Jack took note of the goods and prices, while looking around the stalls he stopped in front of the few stalls that sold apples.
Pointing at one of the apples, compared to the other soft ones this one was still somewhat hard.
"How much for this apple?" He asked the slim and well dressed merchant.
"Six flora." The merchant didn't even look at him while telling his price.
Six flora? For this thing? "Why is it so expensive?"
"Buy it and I'll tell you." The merchant said while looking Jack straight in the eyes.
"Never mind then." Jack began to walk away while the merchant gave him a dismissive wave.
I ain't gonna waste a day's worth of food for an apple.. Wait an apple? I wonder if there are any of the little apples left back at home.
Walking out of the market towards the port he was suddenly cut off by a shorter person wearing a gray hood.
"Hey!" Jack let out a complain.
"Sorry." A woman's voice came from the hooded person but she didn't stop as she went towards a wooden board that had some papers on it, it also had a small roof above it.
She took out a piece of paper and nailed it on the notice board before quickly walking away.
Jack now began to move towards the board to check what she had posted.
There were many notices posted on the board, now looking towards the paper the hooded lady the words on the paper warped from foreign to familiar allowing him to read the written words.
This reading ability is quite useful. I wonder how big is the literacy rate in this world, uhh.. I'm getting distracted, lets see what she wrote.
"Notice of an independent mage"
Mage? Magic? That's imposs—No, now that I think about it I woke up in the body of someone else and was meet by two moons.
Magic isn't off the table.

"Those with serious enquires may leave word at the Salted Fish Inn near the Church of the Sea Dragon, ask for Emlyn"
Church of the Sea Dragon? Is this the church Delma was talking about?
Looking at the name of the church 'Sea Dragon' Jack thought while focusing on it
Why is it called Sea Dragon? At that moment of thought the words Sea Dragon warped into the name "Mardrago"
Is this magic?
