Another soldier emerged from behind Genie.
While one Genie led Aladdin to another section of the palace, the other Genie led the Sultan to a different one.
Soon, Aladdin and Genie arrived at a large door.
Genie pulled out a large earpiece resembling a megaphone and pressed it against the door. "Sheeesshhh!!" he said, pulling Aladdin closer and placing the device so that both of them could listen through it.
"Listen closely."
Aladdin could hear screams and objects being flung across the room. He distinguished between two voices and was certain that they belonged to Jafar and Iago.
"What's the plan, Chief?" Genie asked.
"I haven't yet learned any skills that could help me face a fierce magician like Jafar, so I'll be depending on you. The first thing we need to do is disarm him and take away his snake staff, and tie them up," Aladdin asked. "Can you handle that?"
In the movie, Genie rarely intervened in Aladdin's problems unless they threatened his life or the lives of those around him, because he didn't want them to become too dependent on his powers. He also didn't want to be solving other people's problems even after he had gained his freedom from the lamp.
However, unlike the former Aladdin, he wasn't foolish enough to charge at Jafar simply because Genie could save him if things went wrong. If Genie could solve the problem directly, then he would let him do it.
This was working smart, not hard.
The reason he hadn't mentioned this to Jasmine and the Sultan was that he still wanted to maintain his heroic stature.
"Me? But I don't have the skills! The gills… the thrills… Al, don't do this to me! We're in this together!" Genie said, stunned by Aladdin's request.
Aladdin held the Genie's hand firmly.
"I believe in you, Genie."
Genie's heartbeat thumped loudly.
"Then I can't let you down. Stay here, pal. I'll handle this villain with my squad and save you and this kingdom," he said, rolling up his sleeves as if putting on an air of confidence.
Instantly, a portal opened beside them.
Several soldiers dressed in combat uniforms similar to Genie's ran out of the portal. They carried different kinds of weapons, from rifles to machine guns and rocket launchers, seven of them in total.
"I've got it from here," Genie said, pushing Aladdin to the back of the squad.
Aladdin sighed in relief. He nodded and remained where he was.
This was what life should be like.
Even though it wouldn't work every time, he wouldn't mind fighting his own battles later once he became stronger. For now, he was content to watch Genie take over the action.
Instantly, a mat appeared beside him with a basket filled with pastries and drinks.
Aladdin looked up and saw that the Genie was discussing something with his squad, as though they were formulating a plan for their attack.
He scratched his head, realising that Genie might have already deduced his thoughts.
Although Genie loved to play dumb, Aladdin knew that an entity who had once possessed near-limitless cosmic powers and had lived through countless millennia, serving different masters, each with their own unique personalities and desires, was far from stupid.
Still, since Genie wasn't calling him out about it, it meant that it was okay.
For now, Aladdin sat down on the mat.
He took out the pastries and unwrapped them, then poured the drink into a glass cup. Aladdin tasted the food and nodded in approval.
Meanwhile, Genie and his squad had finished discussing their plan. It was time for them to act.
Genie raised his leg and smashed it against the door.
BANG!!
The door swung open, scattering splinters of wood across the floor.
The squad threw a smoke grenade into the room, filling it with thick blankets of smoke capable of making anyone cough violently.
"Move!! Move!!" Genie's voice echoed through the hallway as the entire squad rushed into the room.
Aladdin heard the sounds of gunshots, explosions, and screams, Genie's voice mixed with various others in the chaos.
After several minutes, another portal opened, and a second squad emerged, carrying black suitcases and duffel bags, before entering the room.
A few seconds later, the noise receded, and the smoke began to settle.
Genie stepped out of the room in his normal form and clapped his hands.
"All done."
By then, Aladdin had already finished his meal.
As he stood up, the mat beneath him vanished into thin air.
"Thank you, Genie," Aladdin said as he walked over to him.
"No problem, pal. Anything for ma boi," Genie said, throwing an arm around Aladdin's shoulders. He then pulled a snake staff from his pocket and handed it to him.
Aladdin accepted the staff and smashed it against the ground.
The head of the staff shattered into pieces, and a small wisp of magical energy escaped from it before dissipating into the air.
He had briefly considered keeping the staff and adding it to his collection of magical items. However, he ultimately destroyed it because of its connection to Jafar.
Who knew what kind of tricks Jafar might have placed within the staff, or how it could affect whoever wielded it?
So the best course of action was to destroy it.
"Can I?" Aladdin asked.
"Sure. You can approach them as closely as you want. I promise they can't harm you," Genie replied.
Aladdin nodded and walked into the room.
Instantly, he spotted Jafar bound in chains and tied to one of the pillars in the grand hall. Meanwhile, Iago was also bound in chains and trapped inside a steel cage.
They appeared slightly drowsy and dizzy, but the moment Aladdin stepped into the room, they snapped back to full awareness, as though they had been momentarily caught in a spell.
"What happened? Why am I chained like this? I can't remember anything! My staff… has anyone seen my staff?" Jafar spoke frantically, looking around.
His gaze shifted from Iago, who was bound and caged nearby, before abruptly landing on Aladdin.
Suddenly, his expression shifted from surprise to confusion, then realisation, and finally rage.
"You! Prince Ali Ababwa… You're responsible for all of this! I'll make sure the Sultan hears of this matter and has you imprisoned. Not even the Kingdom of Ababwa will be able to save you!" he shouted.
Aladdin didn't respond until he arrived before Jafar and crouched down to his level.
He stretched out his hand and threw a punch at Jafar.
Bam!
Jafar's head slammed against the pillar behind him.
He was stunned. He had never expected to be punched in the face, especially after making such threats.
After years of being the royal vizier, no one had ever dared to strike him. Anyone who had even attempted such a thing had been severely punished and quickly put in their place.
"That was for sending the guards after me," Aladdin said.
'I've always wanted to do this,' he thought. Ever since he had first seen Jafar's despicable face on the screen, he had always thought it looked punchable.
"This is for trying to kill me."
He threw another punch at Jafar's face.
Bam!!
Jafar's teeth shifted as his lip split open. Blood spilt from his mouth onto his robes.
"This is for putting my fiancée, her family, and the entire kingdom in danger."
He threw another punch.
"This is for trying to kill me again."
Bam!!
Jafar's face was now bruised, bloody, and swollen.
"…You will regret this," Jafar spat, coughing as he forced a loose tooth out of his mouth before it could slip down his throat.
"Don't you recognise me?" Aladdin replied with a faint smile as he removed his headpiece.
Jafar's swollen eyes widened as if they might burst from their sockets, realisation dawning across his face.
"You… You're that riffraff!" Jafar spat again, nearly choking on his own blood.
"It's Prince Aladdin Ababwa to you," Aladdin responded calmly.
"The lamp… the Genie… where is it?" Jafar asked, his eyes darting around frantically until they landed on the strange blue figure floating beside them.
