Fang Yuan sat cross-legged in the deepest chamber of the Sacred Crypts, surrounded by the mummified remains of ancient kings. He placed his translucent palm on the central "Chronos-Stone," a relic designed to store the memories of the moon.
"System," he whispered, "Initiate Chronological Regression. Show me the truth behind the Golden Providence."
The world around him dissolved. The stone walls melted into streams of light as Fang Yuan's consciousness dived ten thousand years into the past.
He saw it: Sol-Primus was not always a peaceful system. Ten millennia ago, it was a chaotic battlefield of primal energies. Then, a "Being" descended—a Galactic Overlord (Realm 3 - Peak). This entity didn't destroy the system; it "planted" it.
Fang Yuan watched as the Overlord wove the golden threads of fate into the souls of the unborn, creating a cycle of "Heroes" and "Villains." This entire solar system was a Cattle Farm. The "Prophecy" was nothing more than a timer. Every thousand years, a Hero would rise, gather all the luck of the system, and then "ascend"—which actually meant being consumed by the Overlord in the deeper cosmos.
Kaelen was just the latest "Fruit" to be ripened for a master Fang Yuan hadn't met yet.
"So," Fang Yuan mused, his eyes glowing with cold indigo fire as he returned to the present. "The heavens of this world are just a hungry mouth. Kaelen is the meal, and I... I am the thief who has broken into the kitchen."
A chilling realization struck him. If he harvested Kaelen, he would be stealing from a Galactic Overlord. For the first time in a decade, a thin, predatory smile touched Fang Yuan's lips.
"Good. A farmer who loses his crop is a farmer who will eventually come to check his fields. I shall harvest the fruit, and then... I shall harvest the farmer."
