With the history of the world laid bare, Fang Yuan looked at the Blade of Dawn resting on its pedestal. It was a beautiful sword, pulsing with a faint golden light, waiting for Kaelen's touch tomorrow morning.
But to Fang Yuan's Weaver-sight, the sword was a "leash." It was a conduit designed to funnel Kaelen's luck directly to the Overlord once the hero reached his peak.
"System," Fang Yuan commanded. "Apply the Tenth Law of Emptiness. Do not destroy the blade. Instead, rewrite its internal structure. Erase its connection to the Overlord and replace it with a Spatial Sink."

The golden light of the sword flickered. For a moment, it turned a deep, abyssal violet before returning to its original gold. To any observer, even Kaelen, it would look like the legendary holy weapon.
But in reality, it was now a Vampiric Anchor. The moment Kaelen picked it up, instead of giving him power, it would begin to silently drain his providence and store it in a pocket dimension that only Fang Yuan could access.
"Tomorrow, the hero will rise," Fang Yuan whispered, stepping into the shadows as the first light of dawn began to pierce the crypt. "And the moment he grasps his destiny, he will begin to lose it."
