Chapter 4 - The silent Boy and The curious Girl

Noah was a quiet boy… but not the boring kind.

He didn't talk much, yes.

But when he did—everyone listened.

And most of the time… they laughed 😄

He had a funny side too.

The kind where he would randomly say something simple, and the whole group would start laughing.

He didn't talk to impress…

he talked only when he felt like it.

And that made his words matter more.

While others were busy gossiping, Noah was busy praying.

The surprising part?

He never prayed much for himself…

but always for others—even for people who spoke badly about him.

Yes, people judged him a lot.

"Why is he so weird?"

"Sometimes he's funny, sometimes he's silent…"

But Noah never reacted.

If someone argued with him, he would just look into their eyes calmly… and somehow, the other person would go quiet.

And still, later—

He would pray for them.

Forgive them.

Because he never wanted to hurt anyone.

And then there was Anne.

Completely opposite.

Talkative, cheerful, a little dramatic… and very curious.

One day she saw Noah standing near the window again and said,

"Do you ever get tired of being so quiet?"

Noah replied,

"Do you ever get tired of talking so much?"

Anne paused… then laughed.

"Okay… I like this guy."

That's how it started.

Slowly, they began talking more.

Anne realized something—

Noah didn't talk much…

but whenever he did, he made people feel good.

Sometimes by making them laugh…

sometimes by just understanding them.

During annual day practice, while everyone was busy dancing and shouting, these two were near the window again—talking, joking, and sometimes just standing in silence.

One night, Anne was very upset because of family problems.

She didn't tell anyone.

Still, suddenly—

Noah: "Are you okay?"

Anne stared at her phone.

"How does he always know…?"

The next day, in an empty classroom, she finally opened up.

"I'm just… tired of everything."

Noah listened quietly.

Then softly said,

"You don't have to handle everything alone."

Simple words.

But they stayed.

From that day, things quietly changed between them.

Anne started noticing him more—

his silence, his words, even his small jokes that somehow made her laugh at the right time.

And Noah… he started caring a little more than before.

Not loudly, not obviously—but in the way he checked on her, listened to her, and prayed for her.

They never gave it a name.

But something was there.

Something simple.

Something real.

Between random conversations, shared silences, and unspoken feelings—

they started liking each other.

And for now…

that was enough.
