I woke up in Recovery Girls office late into the afternoon. Midoriya was no where to be seen so I assumed he had already made it home already.
Midnight was sitting there staring at me.
"Oh right, I kind of stole a villain."
…
"You did what?"
"Can you get Nezu in here?"
"I'm already here Takaba!" Nezu was so small I hadn't noticed him next to the window.
"I already saw the villain in your domain after Aizawa's report. I also saw the scans." Nezu clambered up onto the bed.
"I'm going to have to remove him myself right?"
"Yes, he remains unresponsive and wouldn't move under any conditions." Nezu looked at me seriously.
"Why would you risk putting him in your domain when he could destroy everything in there?" Midnight took the words out of Nezu's mouth.
I looked back and forth between her and Nezu. "When he first entered through the portal the villain only paused once the other villain held his hand and stopped him. Then, after the villain moved themselves to attack Aizawa, they still didn't move."
"Since he looked so big and imposing I assumed that he was their biggest weapon, due to this and his earlier responses I assumed that he was likely an experiment entirely under the villains control. Furthermore, once I collected him in my domain they remained still and that stayed the same even after the other villain noticed they were gone."
Nezu jumped down and walked away. "Midnight, bring Takaba out to the police so he can give the Nomu to them. The Nomu is what they called the villain by the way, the scan says everything. After that, meet me in the staff room, we're having a meeting."
Midnight then scooped me into her arms and said. "Take me down Taka!" Before walking forward, directly into a portal I had linked to UA's entrance.
"You know I had already set it and you didn't need to say that right?" I said looking away, towards the police in front of me.
"Anything to make you blush and embarrass you my dear." She stroked my hair.
I, in fact, did end up blushing and turning away.
'DAMN IT AM I REALLY SO PREDICTABLE?!'
Muttering curses under my breath I turned to the police once again and said. "Here's your final captured villain…" Before dropping the behemoth in front of them.
"It's called a Nomu by the way." I used a portal to slip with Midnight right outside the staff room.
"You go to bed early now." Midnight said before walking into the room.
And so that's what I did.
I woke up the next day with Midnight beside me at 2 pm. UA had cancelled the next two days for all students due to the incident. They were probably investigating the incident and allowing for recuperation.
—Two days later—
I arrived to home room just as Aizawa walked in.
'Great timing as always.'
Just as Aizawa was about to speak Ashido raised her hand.
Aizawa gestured to Ashido as a sign for 'go on'.
"Sir, I wanted to ask… how come during the incident you asked everyone to not help you or use our quirks, but allowed Kurusu to use his?"
Aizawa had expected this, although not from Ashido.
"Kurusu's quirk allows for long distance activation and we've already teamed up before, if you want details then you can pester him about it later."
'How could you shift everything onto me. Damn it. Look at them all… I am not getting a break today.'
All heads had in fact turned to me causing me to attempt to hide myself with my hands. Surprisingly it worked well because I was so small.
Aizawa coughed. "Moving on, what's more important is that your fight isn't over yet."
He then lowered his head and narrowed his eyes. "The UA sports festival is about to start."
Kirishima seemed really happy. "Let's go kick some ass!" He stood up proudly.
His moment was ruined by Kaminari who put a hand on his face. "Wait a second."
Jiro spoke up. "Is it really such a good idea to hold a sports festival so soon after villains snuck inside."
Ojiro built on this. "They could attack once we're all in the same place."
"Apparently the administration thinks this is a good way to show that the threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever before. Plus they're beefing up security compared to past years."
"This event is a huge opportunity for all students at UA. It's not something we can cancel because of a few villains."
Mineta seemed destroyed. "Uh, I'm sorry, but why not. It's just a sports festival-"
'Yeah, I've listened to these people setting up the next arc for too long now.'
I placed my ear buds in.
—Later—
After Cementoss' class everyone seemed super pumped up for the sports festival. I wasn't listening until Ururaka shouted. "IM GONNA DO MY BEST"
I actually jumped causing Ashido beside me to point and laugh.
"Don't sit next to me at lunch."
"Hey it was just funny!"
"Tsk."
Yeah I was pouting. Didn't last long because Ashido just sat down next to me anyway. Sato was with us and he ate a lot more than me, sometimes even going for thirds.
Just looking at the queue I could see a plotting Todoroki, clearly listening in on Iida and Ururaka's conversation.
'Well well well…'
…
Soon, a crowd of class 1-A surrounded me. It was everyone, even Todoroki and Bakugo, who then sat down around me.
Ashido stood up and grinned. "Spill the beans, how do you know Aizawa."
"Ah, I thought you guys would forget." I looked down.
A couple people exclaimed. "WHAT?! HOW COULD WE FORGET??"
I looked away wistfully. "A man can dream, can he not?"
Bakugo was getting annoyed. "Get to the point and answer the damn question, nerd."
"Okay, fine. So you know how you all only arrived at UA on the entrance exam day? Well I actually live here, since I'm Nezu's son."
…
Yaoyorozu stood there blankly. "As in the principle?"
"Uh… yeah?"
…
"WHAT?!"
I covered my ears instinctively.
Yaoyorozu say back. "So that's how you know Aizawa huh?"
Todoroki joined in. "I thought you were Aizawa's secret love child but this also explains why the other teachers seemed to know you already. Like Present Mic who calls you by your given name."
Midoriya gasped. "Wait a minute, if your name is Takaba then are you the person who showed up on Present Mic's radio show a couple of years ago??"
"Oh right, yeah I did something like that before."
Midoriya followed up. "So when he called you his nephew, was that because you wanted to remain semi-anonymous since he doesn't actually have a nephew called Takaba."
'I am not telling them about Midnight. Definitely not.'
"Something like that, he kind of tricked me into showing up anyways so he made that decision himself."
The bell then rang, signalling time is up.
"Okay I won't be answering any more questions since I've already done enough today." I slipped into my seat in the classroom.
Life went on as normal, thank the Shark I didn't have Midnight today.
—3:20 that day—
I was about to leave class but I noticed a crowd outside the door.
'Teleporting it is…'
I turned back around to feel a hand on my shoulder. It was Ashido.
"Yo! Can you teleport me out of here, I gotta get home quick." She flashed me a smile.
"Smiling isn't helping your case, in fact it's worsening your chances." I said blankly.
"HEY!" Her face contorted as she fell into a portal I had placed.
"You're welcome."
She had safely landed outside by the gates.
I then slipped into Nezu's office.
