Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 — My First Revenge

The rain was still falling outside the hotel, but inside the grand hall the music had started again.

People were talking, laughing, pretending nothing happened…

But for Nisha, everything had changed.

Her eyes could not leave Arman Khan.

The same boy she once rejected…

Now standing in the center of the hall as the most powerful man there.

Arman slowly handed the mic back to the host.

His face was calm, but inside his mind, old memories were burning.

Poor days…

Humiliation…

Broken promises…

And the day Nisha said —

"You are poor. You can never be my future."

He took a deep breath.

"Tonight… my first revenge begins."

He walked toward the VIP table where the directors of Royal Group were sitting.

The same company that once refused to give him a job.

One of the directors stood up nervously.

"Mr. Khan… we didn't know you were the investor…"

Arman looked at him coldly.

"You didn't need to know.

You just needed to remember how you treat people."

The man couldn't speak.

Arman opened a file and placed it on the table.

"As of tonight,

I am the majority shareholder of Royal Group.

And I am making some changes."

Everyone became silent.

He turned one page.

"Director Verma… you are removed."

"What? Sir please!"

"You once said I was not qualified even to enter your office.

Today… you are not qualified to stay in my company."

The guards stepped forward.

Verma had no choice but to leave.

People started whispering everywhere.

Nisha was watching everything with shaking hands.

Her friend whispered,

"Nisha… do you know him?"

She couldn't answer.

Arman finally looked at her.

Slowly… step by step… he walked closer.

She felt her heartbeat getting faster.

"Arman…" she said softly.

He stopped in front of her.

For a moment, he said nothing.

Then he smiled slightly.

"Miss Nisha…

Nice to meet you again."

Her eyes filled with shock.

"You… you really became…"

Arman interrupted calmly —

"The man you said I could never be."

She looked down, unable to speak.

Arman leaned a little closer and said in a low voice —

"This is only the first revenge.

The rest… will hurt more."

He turned and walked away.

Behind him, the music was playing…

People were talking…

Lights were shining…

But Nisha felt like the whole world was collapsing.

Because the man she once left…

Had returned as someone she could never reach again.
