The hotel was stunning.
Elena had already expected it to be nice. Alessandro DeLuca did not do anything that wasn't nice. But this was something else entirely — a historic building right in the heart of Rome, all high ceilings and warm stone and the kind of quiet that only came from very old walls and very expensive renovation. She walked through the lobby looking up at everything and trying very hard not to look like someone who had never seen anything like this before.
She had seen plenty of nice hotels because Ofcourse her daddy was rich.
But She had not seen anything like this.
Alessandro checked them in at the front desk with the efficiency of someone who had done it a hundred times, speaking to the staff in fluid Italian while Elena stood slightly behind him with her bag and looked around the lobby feeling Rome pressing in warmly through the tall windows.
"So beautiful!" She murmured earning a hidden smile from Alessandro.
