Chapter 6 - Exam night 2

The Sword Ghost

Another ghost appeared.

This one was different.

It held a dark sword.

The moment it moved, the air itself felt sharp.

"Why does that ghost have a sword?!" David panicked.

The ghost attacked.

Fast.

Precise.

Dangerous.

Daniel blocked one strike—but the force pushed him back.

The ghost turned—

And slashed David's arm.

"AAH!"

Blood started dripping.

David stumbled.

The ghost attacked again.

Daniel jumped in front and blocked it.

The fight became brutal.

Strike after strike.

Pain after pain.

Finally—

With a powerful attack, Daniel destroyed the ghost.

Both of them stood there, breathing heavily.

Daniel's face was bleeding.

David's arm was badly injured.

"I don't think I signed up for this," David said weakly.

No Escape

But the night wasn't over.

Suddenly—

Two more ghosts appeared.

David looked at them in shock.

"Seriously? We're already half-dead!"

The ghosts attacked immediately.

This time, it was worse.

Much worse.

Their bodies were already injured.

Now the attacks felt heavier.

Sharper.

More painful.

Their fingers got cut, their arms and shoulders filled with wounds.

Blood was dripping continuously.

David almost fell.

"I can't…" he said.

Daniel grabbed him.

"Don't stop!"

For a moment—

Daniel's vision blurred.

His body was tired.

His strength was fading.

And then…

He remembered.

Eva.

Her voice.

"Help me…"

Daniel's eyes changed.

"No…"

He stood up again.

"I won't lose anyone again."

With his last strength—

He attacked.

The fight turned.

Daniel destroyed one ghost.

David, gathering his courage, finished the second one.

The End of the Night

Both of them fell to their knees.

Breathing heavily.

Covered in blood.

Their bodies were full of wounds.

The forest became silent.

Slowly…

The sun began to rise.

The night was over.

The Result

When they returned to the field…

The truth hit them.

Out of fifty of students…

Only eight were left.

The rest…

had failed.

David looked around, shocked.

"Only… eight?"

Daniel stayed silent.

Finn Foster stepped forward.

"You survived."

"That means you are no longer just trainees."

"Soon… you will receive your weapons."

"For now… rest."

Daniel looked at the rising sun.

His face still carried the fresh scar.

His body was still in pain.

But something inside him had changed.

That night…

He didn't just survive.

He became stronger.
