🌹 THE ROSEGLID INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Episode 2 — "Ego vs Ego"
Morning at
Roseglid International High School
looked peaceful.
Which was funny.
Because Section F was about to ruin that peace completely.
Scene 1 — Corridor Energy
The hallway buzzed louder than yesterday.
Ash walked in, headphones around her neck, sipping iced coffee like she was here for entertainment, not education.
Two Sec A girls passed by, whispering loudly on purpose.
"That's her…"
"The new girl in Section F…"
"She thinks she's cool—"
Ash didn't even stop walking.
"Keep talking," she said calmly, "your personality might finally develop."
Silence.
One of them scoffed.
"Attitude for no reason."
Ash turned slightly, walking backward now.
"Oh there's a reason," she said sweetly. "You just haven't earned access to it."
Then she turned and walked away like she just dropped a mic.
Scene 2 — Section F Before Class
The classroom was already chaos.
Blake and Hunter arguing. Jett spinning a basketball. Noah typing like he was hacking the government.
And Damien—
sitting back, calm, unreadable.
Watching.
The door opened.
Ash walked in.
The noise dipped just a little.
Not because they were scared.
Because they were curious.
She walked straight to her seat beside Damien and dropped her bag.
"Morning, statue," she said without looking at him.
Damien didn't respond immediately.
Then—
"Morning, disturbance."
Kai choked on his drink.
Ash slowly turned her head.
"Oh? You talk today?"
Damien leaned back, eyes on her now.
"Only when something worth responding to appears."
Ash nodded thoughtfully.
"Damn. So you've been silent your whole life?"
The class: "OOOOOH—"
Damien's jaw tightened just slightly.
Scene 3 — Round One Begins
"Careful," Damien said, voice low, "confidence without limits turns into stupidity."
Ash tilted her head.
"And ego without personality turns into… you."
Blake actually stood up. "NAH—"
Jett grabbed him. "Sit down, I wanna see who wins."
Damien leaned closer.
"Do you always talk this much, or are you trying to impress someone?"
Ash didn't move an inch.
"Do you always look this bothered, or am I your new hobby?"
That one hit.
Hard.
For a second… Damien didn't reply.
Which was new.
Scene 4 — Teacher Walks In (Unfortunate Timing)
"Sit down!" the teacher snapped.
Everyone quickly pretended to behave.
Ash leaned back.
"So what's your deal?" she whispered to Damien. "You always like this or did life personally attack you?"
Damien didn't even look at her.
"Focus on surviving this class first."
She smirked.
"Oh I'm not the one struggling."
Scene 5 — The Assignment
"Group project!" the teacher announced.
Immediate groans.
Ash muttered, "Group projects are just academic suffering."
"Pairs," the teacher added.
Silence.
Then chaos.
"NO—"
"NOT AGAIN—"
"PLEASE—"
The teacher pointed.
"Ashylene… and Damien."
The class LOST IT.
Kai whispered, "This is gonna end in a fight."
Rowan: "Or murder."
Ash looked at the teacher.
"…you hate me already?"
Damien exhaled slowly.
"Great."
Scene 6 — Forced Interaction
They sat facing each other.
Book open.
Neither reading.
Ash tapped her pen.
"So. What's your skill? Besides staring and being dramatic."
Damien flipped a page.
"Not wasting time."
Ash nodded.
"Then you're failing right now."
He looked up.
"You're the distraction."
She smiled.
"Glad I'm memorable."
Scene 7 — The First Shift
Damien watched her for a second longer than necessary.
There it was again.
That weird feeling.
Like he'd seen her before.
He looked away quickly.
"Just do your part," he said.
Ash leaned forward slightly.
"Say please."
"No."
"Say please."
"Not happening."
"Say it."
"…please."
She grinned.
"See? Growth."
Scene 8 — Outside the Classroom
After class, Ash walked out.
Damien followed a few seconds later.
She didn't notice.
He watched her interact with a junior who accidentally dropped books.
Ash helped pick them up.
"Relax," she told the kid, "books aren't running away."
The kid smiled nervously.
"…thank you."
She winked.
"Don't mention it."
Damien frowned slightly.
That didn't match her attitude.
Scene 9 — The Boys' Discussion
"Bro," Kai said, walking beside Damien, "you gonna admit she's interesting or keep lying to yourself?"
"She's annoying."
Jett laughed. "You've been looking at her all day."
Damien stopped walking.
"I look at problems too. Doesn't mean I like them."
Blake smirked.
"Yeah… but you don't usually argue this much with 'problems'."
Damien didn't reply.
Scene 10 — Rooftop Scene
Ash sat on the rooftop edge, legs swinging slightly, eating chips.
The wind played with her hair.
Peaceful.
For once.
Door opened.
She didn't turn.
"Didn't know statues could walk," she said.
Damien stepped out.
"Didn't know you could be quiet."
She tossed a chip in her mouth.
"Limited edition."
He stood a few steps away.
Silence.
Then—
"You don't act like a new student," he said.
She shrugged.
"People are the same everywhere. Different outfits, same drama."
He studied her.
"You don't trust easily."
She looked at him now.
"And you trust too easily?"
"…no."
"Exactly."
Scene 11 — Almost Soft… Almost
A breeze passed.
For a second, the tension shifted.
Not sharp.
Just… quiet.
Ash looked at him.
"You always this serious?"
Damien looked back.
"You always this loud?"
She smiled faintly.
"Only when I'm bored."
"And now?"
She paused.
"…less bored."
That hit something.
He looked away first.
Scene 12 — Ego Returns
"Don't get used to it," he said.
Ash rolled her eyes.
"Relax. You're not that interesting."
He smirked slightly.
"Keep telling yourself that."
She stood up.
"Oh I don't need to. Reality's doing it for me."
She walked past him.
Then paused.
"See you tomorrow, statue."
He didn't reply.
But he watched her leave.
Again.
Scene 13 — Ending Trigger
Back in the empty classroom…
Damien sat alone.
His gaze dropped.
To his hand.
Where he held his moon necklace.
Then—
Flash.
A little girl laughing.
A star shining.
"Damien! Don't be sad—"
He clenched his fist.
"…who are you?" he whispered.
