Through the opens sees and on top of the crew's nest Sally is using a spyglass to navigate and scout a head to see where's the nearest port town is, or where the next enemy is at ready to ambush them, while the other crew members are working hard trying to keep the ship fixed pouring buckets of water out of the ship while the twins are doing their best to plug any hole they see in the ship, and Semya is looking across the horizon.
"What did I get myself into I am not a pirate" Semya thinks to himself then suddenly he hears footsteps and he quickly turns around and see it was Narrow.
"I know that look. Your homesick" crossing his arms
"Well it's more like no home, I was driven out by my people because of... well this" while showing his grotesque arm to Narrow.
Narrow chuckled "you see, most of us were also evicted by others for our... what's the word... oh right quality"
"Quality is that all you have to say?"
Narrow nodded "Of course for example" Narrow quickly pointed at Luughead " in the Bombardy family Luughead was hated for being to big and even with all the negativity he still remained a gentle giant" then pointing towards the twins "Topp and Cyn made such a ruckus in their home village that the chief lied to them, that they thought they've won an all expenses trip to the sanctuary"
"The sanctuary that sounds like a safe heaven?"
"Its best not to talk the sanctuary in front of the twins. Trust me" then finally pointed to Sally "Sally here only told me one time that being the daughter of a rich family she always wanted to go onto daring adventures and aim from above but they never let her. Getting the mistreated over the years is the reason she got her personality today"
Hearing this gives a bit of a chuckle to Semya "and they were one day found and hired by Captain Moed right?"
"Of course the Founders Seek would be nothing without them. And as for me I just happened to stumble myself on the same way as you"
"A net?"
Narrow shook his head "nope I walked here..." then an awkward silence occurred
"That's it?"
"Well yeah what do you expect, you thought I got captured and forced to do hard labour"
"I guess that's one way I could have thought of it?"
"Listen stowaway you have a long way to go to gain the trust of others here."
Then onto the crows nest Sally is still searching for the nearest port towns, but she stumbles to see a small village "that should be enough" she thought to herself. Then she looked at the map first noting where they are first and smirked, she then grabbed a rope and swung down from the crow's nest, towards the main deck and landing near the Captain to report her findings to him.
"Captain I saw a small village is that good enough"
Captain Moed nodded "that is good enough." he looked at the rest of his crew as he clears his throat. "Alright everyone we're heading to a small village get ready" commanding his crew everyone gets into their position and Narrow quickly leads Semya towards a proper position near the railings as he was confused.
"What was that about?"
"Just try to act natural, like your part of the crew got it" then leaves Semya back to tend more injured crew mates.
Sailing toward the small island with the village near to them, they manage to dock their ship and Luughead release the anchor stopping the ship near the island before Captain Moed grabbing a small group of his crew before heading towards the village. Leaving Semya with the twins and Narrow and a few other crew members to look after the ship when they come back. While waiting for the others to come back onto the ship, the others crew mates are cleaning the ship and checking to see what is need to be repaired.
"Why are we always cleaning the ship, shouldn't we do anything more important stuff" Semya feeling a bit disappointed.
Narrow nodded "it's always important to keep a ship clean so it couldn't prevent anymore damage on our ship as it will cause decay if we don't clean her" then Narrow hands Semya a mop "come on get cleaning the ship won't clean itself" cleaning the ship's interior its only a matter of time till the others come back from the village.
"Hey Semya, you know sometimes while waiting for the others we don't just clean the ship all the time, we also spar with each other" Semya was confused as Narrow taps the end of the broom three times signaling to the other crew members to get everything ready making a circle "Here take this."
Narrow gives Semya a wooden sword "what is this for?"
"Since you already used a sword and manage to take down someone, I suggest we all try to improve you swordsmanship"
"Are you sure? Wouldn't Captain Moed be mad that we kind of damage the ship"
"Its fine besides we're already have to fix it anyways, come on lets begin"
Then without warning Narrow using his broom take a swing at Semya but he was too slow to react and quickly lost his grip of his wooden sword "you need to be more for us, expect the unexpected"
"How can I be when you all are pirates you all fight unexpectedly"
Narrow smirks "you know this world was once inhabited by mythical creatures, such as Krakens, Sirens, and even dragons"
"And I have a grotesque arm with scales, that it can do anything except call me a freak" then suddenly with the wave of his hand, the waves started to shift making the ship rock constantly then once Semya lowers his hand the waves then stopped.
"What was that?!"
"Not sure the wave were calm for the past few weeks, what going on?"
Semya looking at his grotesque hand "you arm, what happened to it" Semya quickly looked at Narrow after his question "was it by genes, a mutation, or worse a curse"
"I was just born like this. In my village people would call me many things, Scale Face, Three Finger, and Redclaw"
"It must be ruff living as a freak among people"
Then Semya looking down "I'm sorry if I am hurting your feelings" Semya quickly gets up and continues cleaning the deck to quell his frustration. But as Semya continues to swab the deck Narrow tries to swing at him, however as Narrow swung a wooden sword at Semya, he and quickly noticed and tries to block it with his right arm, and as they immediately made contact with each other the wooden sword broke.
They were both surprised "hey my arm it doesn't feel any pain" he waved his arm looking to see if there was any bruise on his arm.
"Talk about a hard shell"
"I think it can be useful in future fights, but we'll have to see about that?"
Then as they both look at the village they see Captain Moed and the others making their way back to the ship along with Luughead carrying a large crate filled with supplies for the ship. Everyone then begins to get back into their position cleaning the ship and helping the twins repair the ship.
"I see everyone is in working order. Thank you Narrow for keeping an eye on them"
Narrow nodded gratefully "of course Captain"
Nodding his head towards him "Luughead brings these to the twins"
"Yes Captain" Luughead heads down to the deck to give the twins the supplies to repair the ship.
"I see you done a fine work as always swabbing the deck, and having sword training"
"You got that from one cut on the floor?"
"He's the captain, what do you expect?"
Then suddenly Captain Moed began to make an announcement "alright everyone during our time at the village we have gathered some information for our next destination" Captain Moed then proceeded to pull out a treasure map and Luughead carries a table for Captain Moed to place it. Everyone gathers around Captain Moed as he lays out the map onto the table.
"Where does this map lead to?"
"Patients Kalkeck. One of the village chief was willing to give us this map with a strange encryption on it"
"Do you know what it says?"
"If we can read it then why did I say a strange encryption" as they were having a talk with one another Semya steps in and takes a glance at the treasure map "take the path to a stormy whirlpool, then find a glimmering stone" as he read the encryption everyone was shocked as they all looked at him "how can you read the encryption"
"This encryption looks like my village's own language"
"Semya haha! You genius. I guess this will be our next destination"
Semya stood silent for a moment, but suddenly felt an uneasy feeling in his stomach just realizing what Captain Moed had in thought with that proud smile on his face.
"We're all going to your village. Everyone get ready will head out by next light" as they began to lose light everyone then get back to work as they started to assist the twin in repairing the ship and Semya feeling very uncomfortable as he has made a grave mistake shivering profusely as he knew where they are heading to.
