Chapter 10 - Table for Three

As they drove through the bustling streets of Seoul, the soft hum of the Mercedes engine filled the cabin.

Jin-woo gripped the steering wheel lightly and glanced toward the passenger seat.

"So, where should we go for this special breakfast?" he asked, his voice calm and curious.

Eun-soo thought for a moment, her mind trailing to a place that felt like home to her refined tastes.

"Let's go to Mingles," she suggested with a bright smile. "It's a beautiful spot for modern Korean cuisine."

Jin-woo raised an eyebrow, recognizing the name of the famous three-Michelin-starred restaurant.

"I've heard of it, but I've never actually been," he admitted. "Where exactly is it located?"

"Here, let me show you the way on the console," Eun-soo said, leaning toward the high-tech dashboard.

She began typing the address into the Google Maps interface, her fingers moving gracefully over the screen.

While she was focused on the navigation, Jin-woo couldn't help but steal a glance at her.

He noticed the way her dress seemed to catch the morning light, the voluminous puff sleeves making her look delicate and elegant.

The A-line skirt rested gently against her knees, and the cinched waist highlighted her graceful figure.

It was clear to him that she hadn't just thrown this outfit on; it was chosen with immense care.

Eun-soo finished tagging the location and looked up, catching Jin-woo's intense gaze right on her.

"Is... is there something on my face?" she asked, her hand instinctively reaching up to her cheek.

"No," Jin-woo replied, his voice dropping to a sincere tone. "I was just thinking that you look beautiful in that dress."

Eun-soo felt a sudden rush of heat climb up her neck, her face turning a vivid shade of pink once again.

Does he really not know that saying things so directly is enough to make a girl's heart stop? she wondered silently.

She became very quiet, turning her attention to Hajun who was sitting happily in her lap.

"Look, Hajun! We're going to see some beautiful trees on the way," she whispered, playing with his small hands to hide her blushing face.

After a smooth drive, they arrived at the tranquil entrance of Mingles in the heart of the city.

Jin-woo parked the car and immediately walked around to the passenger side to open the door for Eun-soo and Hajun.

"Thank you," she murmured, stepping out into the fresh air, feeling like a lady in a classic movie.

They entered the restaurant, where the staff greeted them with the quiet, high-end service the establishment was known for.

Jin-woo immediately requested a comfortable baby seat for Hajun, ensuring the boy was settled properly at the table.

Once they were seated, he slid the elegant menu across the white tablecloth toward Eun-soo.

"Since you know this place best, why don't you choose for us?" he invited, leaning back in his chair.

Eun-soo scanned the menu and ordered the signature tasting menu, featuring the famous Mingling Pot and Hanwoo beef.

"Would you like to add anything else to that?" she asked, looking over the top of the menu at him.

"No, that sounds perfect," Jin-woo replied before turning to the little boy beside him. "Hajun, do you want a treat?"

"I want a pastry, Uncle," Hajun said, his eyes widening as Jin-woo showed him the dessert pictures on a tablet.

They placed the order for a golden, flaky pastry for the boy and settled in to wait for their feast.

"The broth here is incredible," Eun-soo said, trying to restart the conversation. "Hajun will love the dumplings."

Jin-woo smiled, watching the way the sunlight through the window danced in Eun-soo's dark hair.

"I'm glad we came," he said softly. "It's a nice change of pace from my usual office desk."
