The system's voice cut through Emily's thoughts — sharp and urgent.
Unknown entity approaching.
Emily's breath hitched.
Unknown entity?
Her eyes slowly lifted—
toward Daniel.

At first…
nothing looked different.
He stood the same way. Calm. Still. Watching her.
But then—
her vision flickered.
Just like before.

And this time…
it didn't disappear.

Behind Daniel—
something stood.

Tall.
Darker than the shadows around it.
Its shape wasn't fully human… but close enough to be disturbing.
Like something trying to imitate a person—
and failing.

Emily's heart slammed against her chest.
"…Daniel," she whispered.
He frowned slightly.
"What?"

"You don't… feel that?" she asked, her voice trembling just a little.
Daniel's expression shifted.
"Feel what?"

The thing behind him moved.
