Chapter 5 - TTSF-005

The gathered fairies began to depart slowly.

Their murmurs faded into the rustling leaves of the Pixie Dust Tree.

Some of them cast backward glances at Zenith, still brimming with curiosity.

But, they'd have to wait until later to get acquainted with the newly arrived sparrowman.

They couldn't just bombard him right now.

After all, he'd only been born a few moments ago.

Rosetta's hand still hovered between them, her palm upturned.

She smile patiently, but then, she suddenly realized that she'd forgotten to introduced herself first.

"Oh gosh, where are my manners?" Rosetta laughed a bit shyly, tucking a stray curl behind her ear.

"I'm Rosetta, a garden-talent fairy, It's nice to meet you, Zenith." She said, executing a small midair curtsy.

"It's nice to meet you too, Rosetta." Zenith said with a soft smile.

He already knew her name, after all, she was one of his favorite characters in the movies.

Though, seeing her in person, she was far more beautiful than any animated depiction could capture.

Rosetta's wings hummed as she circled Zenith once, her green eyes sweeping over his wingless form curiously.

"Uhm, can you still fly like you did earlier?" Rosetta asked, tapping her chin thoughtfully as she hovered just above his shoulder.

"You know, since you don't have wings." She said suddenly.

"I don't have what!?" Zenith blurted out abruptly, quickly swinging his hands around to feel at his back.

"I really don't have any wings." He muttered under his breath.

With all the excitement that had occurred, it was only now that he'd discovered this astonishing fact.

"There's no need to worry, sugar." Rosetta comforted softly from the side.

"You have your talent after all... Now then, can you use it to fly again?" She asked gently.

Zenith took a deep breath to calm himself.

But, even so, he was definitely still a bit shaken.

"Uhm... I think I can, let me see." Zenith murmured in response, staring at his hands.

He closed his eyes, focusing on his connection with the strange warmth pooling within his chest.

With a thought, the energy surged outward from his chest in slow, deliberate waves.

The blue glow shimmered to life once more as it wrapped around his form entirely.

His feet slowly lifted off the mushroom platform, shakily at first, then with more control as he straightened midair.

"This is amazing, I'm flying." Zenith said, his voice filled with awe as he hovered midair.

The blue glow around him pulsed softly, responding to the thrill coursing through him.

Rosetta's lips curved into a delighted smile as Zenith floated beside her.

'It's even more beautiful when seeing it up close,' Rosetta thought, watching the cerulean light ripple around Zenith.

The soft glow reflected within her wide green eyes, she was utterly captivated.

Zenith tilted forward slightly as he tried to move, only to jerk backward when his body responded too sharply.

Rosetta giggled sweetly. "Easy now, sugar," she said, floating closer. "There ain't no rush."

"Haha, I'm still figuring out the controls," Zenith admitted shyly.

'I can hover perfectly still with barely a thought, but moving is a different story entirely,' He mused inwardly.

Rosetta extended her hand toward him again, "Try following my lead," she said warmly.

Zenith reached out, gently taking her offered hand.

"Thank you for your help, Rosetta," he said sincerely.

Rosetta blushed the instant Zenith's hand took hers, a delicate pink flush blooming across her cheeks.

'It feels so warm,' she thought, glancing down at their interlocked hands.

His palm radiated that same soft blue glow, pulsing faintly where their skin touched.

"Alright now," she murmured, fluttering her wings.

"Just focus on moving with me, nice and easy."

"Ok, please lead the way, I'll be in your care," He responded with a charming smile.

Rosetta's heart lept at the sight, but she calmed herself quickly as she guided him in slow arcs above the mushroom platform.

Zenith's movements grew smoother with each passing moment.

High within her chambers in the heart of the Pixie Dust Tree.

Queen Clarion hovered before a cascading waterfall of golden pixie dust.

The evening's events played behind her beautiful eyes.

Something about Zenith's arrival, especially that pulsing blue glow had stirred something deep within her.

That blue energy had resonated with her in a way that felt both foreign and intimately familiar.

"It felt very similar to my own magic, but at the same time, deeper." Queen Clarion murmured thoughtfully.

She smiled warmly at the thought, "Perhaps..." she murmured, trailing off as she gently touched the waterfall of pixie dust with her fingertips.

"I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll blossom into, Zenith."
