The chapter opens on the image of a woman with long silver hair, but everything about her looks withered and lifeless—her hair dull, her skin pale and dry—except for her eyes, which glow a vivid green, full of eerie vitality.
That is the form reflected in Xingyun Liuge's current power.
Passive Skill: The Decision Has Been Made
Liuge can mark a target and put them into a state of agitation. When she overtakes that target, she restores one-tenth of her stamina, steals one of their non-Domain skills for ten seconds, keeps all of her own abilities, gains an extra speed boost, and can use Piercing Heaven again. There is no limit to how many targets she can designate, and the effect can stack for up to two minutes.
The flavor text says it plainly:
No cost matters. No cruelty matters.
If it brings results for her, then I will do it.
This is the secret of those green eyes—and Liuge's eyes have now turned that same color.
The crowd thinks they are cheering for the frontrunners, but to Liuge they are all just puppets on strings.
The host excitedly describes the race: Can't Agree still leads, pushing harder through the bend. Labor Force starts closing in, with Invincible Vanguard not far off. Meanwhile the announcer grows increasingly anxious because Liuge still has not made her move. Everyone—spectators and runners alike—keeps waiting for her to explode forward.
Steel Queen and Glory in particular keep watching Liuge, afraid to miss even the smallest sign.
Steel Queen is still trying to pressure her, but Liuge finds it pathetic. The girl's agitation skill is too crude to be worth stealing.
So Liuge casually remarks:
"Learn a few actually useful skills before coming back."
Then she silently activates her spell:

Something invisible passes through Glory. Glory feels it, but cannot tell what happened.
Then Liuge suddenly bursts forward.
Without warning, she launches from Glory's rear flank and instantly clears more than a horse length. In a single surge, she draws level with Glory from the far outside—and then passes her cleanly.
The stadium erupts.
The announcer loses all restraint and starts shouting as if Liuge is delivering judgment itself, crushing those who dared to stand in the way of the five-crown queen. He even declares that "the Emperor has returned," which in turn causes jokes among the Japanese viewers—because that title used to belong to Rudolf Symboli.
As Liuge flies past, Glory is shaken. She knows Liuge is strong, but this acceleration is monstrous. Liuge is not especially huge, yet her explosive force is beyond belief.
Still, Glory has prepared something.
She had quietly hidden a trap in advance: a white light wrapped around her own legs, invisible and harmless until she chose to activate it. She had been waiting for the right moment.
Now she decides it is time.
Just as she thinks,
Don't blame me for being underhanded—
a dazzling pillar of pure white light drops from the sky and engulfs Liuge. White feathers drift down like a divine miracle. It looks holy, almost like a blessing from heaven in a knight's tale.
But it is not holy at all.
Those feathers are condensed spiritual power, and when they touch a runner, they drain stamina.
Steel Queen immediately realizes she has been hit too, and shouts in anger:
"Glory, you set us up!"
The girls in front begin complaining as well, accusing the French runner of betraying them.
But from Glory's point of view, this is not treachery—it is just racing. Britain and France are rivals, not sisters. There was never any real alliance. This is simply using her own strength to beat anyone in range.
Then the twist lands:
Glory herself also feels her stamina being drained.
Her face changes instantly.
Because whatever just happened—
was not actually her attack anymore.
So the chapter ends on that sharp reversal: Glory thought she had sprung her hidden trap on Liuge and the others, but somehow the effect has turned around and started draining her own strength too. Liuge has copied her method and bent it to her own use.
