Chapter 2 - The love

Ch - 2

A sleek black Mercedes stopped at the grand entrance of Love by Flowers. The car door opened, and Rafael Xavier Murillo stepped out.

Dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, he looked just as handsome as before — only now with a calm maturity that came with time. His presence was composed and confident, yet still carried that same gentle softness he always had.

As he entered the company, the atmosphere instantly changed.

Employees straightened up and greeted respectfully,

"Good morning, Sir!"

"Good morning, Boss!"

Raffy gave a small smile and nodded to everyone as he walked past the studio where the products were carefully made and packed. Artisans were preserving roses in resin, arranging dried petals, and designing handcrafted floral pieces. Every creation reflected the essence of the company — turning fleeting flowers into memories that last forever.

He finally entered his cabin.

The room was elegant yet personal. On his table, placed neatly at the corner, was a sunflower coaster made of resin — almost identical to the one Luna once made from a sunflower he had given her in school. This one wasn't made by Luna, but inspired by her. He had asked his top artist to recreate something similar, something that quietly carried that memory.

He picked it up gently, his eyes softening as he looked at the preserved sunflower inside.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Oh… I remembered you again," he murmured.

"Honestly, I kept this so I can remember you every morning when I come to work… and every evening before I leave."

He paused for a moment, holding the coaster carefully.

"So once more… at least for thirty minutes, my heart beats only for you. I know it beats for you every second… but this… this is just to ensure myself."

His smile remained calm, filled with a quiet longing he never showed to anyone.

"I don't know what you are doing right now, Luna… but this is my way of remembering you today."

He slowly placed the coaster back on the table, exactly where it always stayed.

Then he sat down and immediately started working — energetic, focused, and composed. Meetings, designs, approvals, decisions… he handled everything with confidence and dedication. To the world, he was a successful CEO, a man who turned his love for flowers into a powerful empire.

His life was full of success, respect, and purpose.

Yet somewhere inside, a part of his love still remained incomplete.

But he never saw those memories as a weakness.

They were his strength.

Just like Luna found comfort in the sunflower hanging every night, Raffy found his peace in this sunflower coaster every day. The memories didn't make him weak — they made him stronger, calmer, and more determined to keep moving forward with a quiet smile.
