Chapter 162: A Special Grade Visit, An Uninvited Guest

Boom!

The roar of a heavy motorcycle engine tore through the quiet of Tokyo Jujutsu High.

The sound was arrogant and wild, like a beast howling up the mountain path. It shattered the rare calm Suguru Geto had only just regained.

Geto sat up from the grass and frowned slightly, turning toward the road below.

"Who drives like that inside Jujutsu High?"

His voice was still tired.

"Did Satoru buy another toy?"

Yami looked toward the distant cloud of dust rising from the mountain path.

A faint cold glint passed through his eyes.

He already knew who was coming.

The woman who, in the original flow of fate, would personally hand Suguru Geto the poisoned theory that pushed over the final domino.

One of the four Special Grade Sorcerers.

Yuki Tsukumo.

"I'm going to buy two cans of iced cola from the vending machine."

Yami patted Geto on the shoulder, his tone casual.

"Rest here for a while."

Geto glanced at him.

"You don't need me to go with you?"

"No need."

Yami waved his hand.

"With your current condition, you look like you'll collapse if the wind blows too hard. Save your strength."

After saying that, Yami turned and walked in the opposite direction of the mountain path.

He did not choose to stop the meeting between Yuki Tsukumo and Suguru Geto immediately.

Because he knew something clearly.

Although he had pulled the thorn out of Geto's heart by force, the wound was still there.

If Geto could not face the most extreme version of that theory himself, he would never truly break free from it.

True salvation did not mean locking him forever in a greenhouse.

It meant cutting the wrong chain at the final moment before he fell into the abyss.

Not long after Yami left, light footsteps sounded along the gravel path beside the training ground.

Geto turned his head.

A tall woman with long blonde hair stood there.

She wore a casual leather jacket and jeans, one hand resting on her hip as she looked him over with open interest.

She did not deliberately release any Cursed Energy.

But just by standing there, she gave Geto an enormous sense of pressure.

It felt like facing an abyss.

He had only felt something similar from Satoru Gojo and Yami.

"Special Grade…"

Geto's pupils narrowed slightly, and his body tensed on instinct.

The woman tossed her helmet onto the ground, brushed back her long blonde hair, and smiled with a playful, cynical curve to her lips.

She did not introduce herself.

Instead, she threw out a question that made Geto's thoughts pause.

"Hey, kid."

She looked straight at him.

"What kind of women are you into?"

Geto froze.

He had imagined countless reasons why the higher ups might send someone here to probe him or cause trouble.

He had not imagined this.

"Huh?"

"I'm asking what kind of women you like."

The woman strode toward him and looked down at him, her eyes full of scrutiny.

"It's an important question. It decides whether I feel like continuing this conversation."

Geto fell silent.

The question was absurd, but he still forced himself to maintain basic politeness.

"...If I have to answer, probably someone who doesn't make people feel pressured."

He paused.

"Someone gentle."

After all, he had already been under enough pressure lately.

"Boring."

The woman pouted, looking openly disappointed.

"What a personalityless answer."

She sat down on the grass beside him without any hesitation, pulled a lollipop from her pocket, and placed it in her mouth.

"Fine, introduction time. I'm Yuki Tsukumo."

She leaned back slightly.

"Also one of those Special Grade Sorcerers you guys talk about. The one who takes a salary but doesn't do any work."

Yuki Tsukumo.

Geto's heart tightened.

Of course he had heard the name.

She was the only Special Grade in the Jujutsu World who wandered overseas all year and was almost completely outside the higher ups' control.

"Senior Yuki…"

Geto's tone became cautious.

"What brings you to Jujutsu High?"

"Don't be nervous. I'm not here to make trouble for you."

Yuki crunched the lollipop in her mouth.

"I heard Jujutsu High had some interesting juniors, so I came to take a look."

Her eyes suddenly deepened.

"And while I'm here, I wanted to find someone to talk about my research."

"Research?"

"That's right."

Yuki turned her head and looked straight into Geto's eyes.

"Suguru, what do you think a Jujutsu Sorcerer's job is?"

Geto was silent for a moment.

The words Yami had said to him at the food stall last night flashed through his mind.

"Exorcising Cursed Spirits."

His voice was low.

"And protecting those who can't protect themselves."

"Right. Symptomatic treatment."

Yuki scoffed, her tone filled with disdain.

"That's what the rotten oranges up top talk about all day."

She raised one finger.

"A Cursed Spirit appears, so they send sorcerers to exorcise it. After one is exorcised, another is born. It goes on forever."

Her gaze sharpened.

"It's like trying to plug a leaking dam with a rag."

Geto's eyes moved slightly.

"I've been sick of this foolish method for a long time."

Yuki's words were like a scalpel.

They cut precisely into the most sensitive nerve deep in Geto's heart.

Was this not exactly the source of his exhaustion?

Endless missions.

Endless Cursed Spirit Orbs.

Endless malice.

"Then…"

Geto's voice lowered unconsciously.

"What do you mean?"

Yuki stood and spread her arms, as if embracing the entire world.

"What I want is causal treatment."

"I want to cut off the source of Cursed Spirits from the root."

She looked down at Geto.

"Suguru, you know how Cursed Spirits are born, right?"

"They come from the tiny amounts of Cursed Energy leaked by ordinary people. That energy accumulates, settles, and eventually turns into curses."

"And Jujutsu Sorcerers, because they can control their own Cursed Energy, almost never create Cursed Spirits."

Yuki raised two fingers.

"So if we want causal treatment and want to eliminate Cursed Spirits completely, there are only two possible paths."

"First, strip all of humanity of Cursed Energy. Make everyone like Toji Fushiguro, a complete Heavenly Restriction. But that method is too difficult. Realistically, it's nearly impossible."

She paused.

Her eyes brightened with excitement.

"Second, turn all of humanity into Jujutsu Sorcerers."

Geto's breath stopped.

"As long as everyone can control Cursed Energy, there will be no more leakage, and no new Cursed Spirits will be born."

Turn all of humanity into Jujutsu Sorcerers.

That idea exploded in Geto's mind like thunder on a clear day.

The negative emotions that had been suppressed by Yami's special training seemed to find a perfect outlet in that instant.

They began fighting back.

If all humans became Jujutsu Sorcerers, then there would be no more weaklings who needed protection.

There would be no more monkeys who created Cursed Spirits through ignorance and fear.

He would no longer need to swallow those disgusting Cursed Spirit Orbs.

Riko's suffering would not have been meaningless.

Geto stared at the ground.

His eyes became bloodshot without him noticing.

The ugly faces of the Star Religious Group members.

The stench of the sewers.

The image of Riko lying in a pool of blood from the fate she should have suffered.

All of them overlapped wildly inside his mind.

Then, deep in his heart, an extremely terrifying thought quietly sprouted like a venomous snake.

It was horrible.

But within Yuki Tsukumo's theory, it was logical.

Geto slowly raised his head and looked at her.

Darkness surged in eyes that should have been clear.

"Senior Yuki…"

His voice was hoarse, almost like a whisper from the depths of hell.

"If turning all of humanity into Jujutsu Sorcerers can solve the problem…"

He swallowed.

"Then…"

He spoke the taboo that no Jujutsu Sorcerer should ever say aloud.

"Wouldn't it be fine if we killed all the non sorcerers?"

If all non sorcerers died, then only Jujutsu Sorcerers would remain.

It was an absurdly extreme causal treatment.

But logically, it held together.

The air froze.

The wind stopped.

Even the cicadas seemed to fall silent.

Yuki Tsukumo's playful expression stiffened.

Her amber eyes widened as she stared at the boy who had just proposed genocide.

Clearly, she had not expected that the theory she casually offered would give birth to something so terrifying.

And just as this crossroads of fate was about to lead completely into the abyss, a crisp sound came from the shadow of the nearby trees.

Click.

The tab of a soda can was pulled open.

The fatal theory had already been thrown into the open.

Faced with Geto Suguru's near manic answer, how would Yuki Tsukumo respond?

And how would Yami, standing in the shadows with his hand already near his blade, cut off this dangerous brainwashing?
