Chapter 85 - The B2B Client

[The Omniverse - The Realm of Carnage]

The Realm of Carnage was a desolate wasteland of shattered swords and rivers of boiling blood. It was the home of Karnak, the Supreme God of War.

Currently, Karnak was sitting on a throne of broken shields, looking at a magical ledger with his head in his hands.

"We are ruined," Karnak rumbled, his voice shaking the blood-red sky. "The Vanguard of Light has raided our realm twelve times this month. Resurrecting our monster armies costs twenty million Omni-Credits a day. We are completely out of capital. The War Realm is bankrupt."

A sleek, obsidian portal ripped open in the center of the throne room.

Victor Thorne stepped out, his midnight-blue suit pristine against the gore of the war-torn dimension. Behind him, Elara carried a glowing holographic projector , and Valerius the celestial engineer held a stack of blueprints.

"War is a notoriously unprofitable venture, Karnak," Victor said smoothly, pulling his gold pocket watch from his vest. "You burn massive amounts of capital on troops and infrastructure, only for 'Heroes' to smash it all for free. Your return on investment is negative."

Karnak grabbed a massive battleaxe, his eyes burning with rage. "Who are you?! Are you a new hero?!"

"I am a B2B service provider," Victor tapped his gold-nibbed pen against the Tycoon's Ledger. "I am the Founder and CEO of Abyssal Dynamics. And I am here to offer you a turnkey enterprise solution to your hero problem."

Victor nodded to Elara, who activated the projector. A sleek, golden schematic of a prefabricated dungeon appeared in the air.

"Your current business model relies on defeating the heroes," Victor explained, his Tycoon's Aura projecting absolute corporate dominance. "That is your first mistake. Defeating them stops the cash flow. You don't want to kill them. You want to extract their wealth over an extended fiscal quarter."

Victor slashed his pen across his Ledger.

"For zero upfront cost, Abyssal Dynamics will completely retrofit your realm with our proprietary 'Hero-Extraction' SaaS infrastructure," Victor pitched flawlessly. "We install the toll booths, the gacha mechanics, and the micro-transaction traps. We handle all server maintenance and customer service."

Karnak blinked, lowering his axe. "Zero upfront cost? Then how do you make money?"

"Revenue sharing," Victor smiled a ruthless, calculating smile. "We take a sixty percent cut of all Omni-Credits extracted from the heroes who enter your realm. You keep forty percent of the gross revenue simply for letting us use your real estate. You stop spending money on monsters, and you start earning passive income while we bleed the heroes dry."

The God of War looked at his empty treasury. He looked at the golden contract hovering before him. The thought of getting rich while doing absolutely zero fighting went against everything he stood for—but bankruptcy was worse.

Karnak grabbed Victor's pen and signed the contract. Victor had officially secured his first enterprise client.
