Chapter 83 - You Dare Call Me a Shorty?!

"Y-you… your clinic?"

Bege set his glass down, stunned. "Aren't you a traveler, brother?"

"This clinic originally belonged to a friend of mine. After he passed away, he left a will gifting it to me. But since I've been traveling for so long, I was delayed and didn't return in time."

"Right!"

Arashi abruptly changed the topic and stood up decisively.

"I don't even know exactly where the clinic is yet. Since you know, Bege, why don't we go take a look now? Haha, what a coincidence!"

"Uh…"

Bege paused for a moment, then quickly had an idea.

"If that clinic is yours, then… you should be able to open its doors, right?"

"Of course."

Arashi didn't even need to think—he knew Bege must have already tried all kinds of things with that clinic. As a user of the Castle-Castle Fruit, someone who could transform into a steel fortress, it was only natural he'd be obsessed with a place he couldn't get into.

"Ahem, in that case…"

Bege put on his hat and stood up briskly.

"To be honest, brother, I've been extremely curious about that clinic! Since I couldn't open its doors no matter what I tried… I just moved the whole thing away!!"

"…What?"

Arashi had expected Bege to be interested in something with such absurd defenses, but he hadn't expected him to go this far—actually moving the entire clinic.

"You moved it?"

After staring blankly for a few seconds, Arashi instinctively glanced at Bege's stomach.

"Y-yes! I moved it into my courtyard!"

Bege looked a little embarrassed.

"But don't worry, brother—the clinic is perfectly fine! Fire won't burn it, cannons won't break it—it's incredible! Let's go take a look right now!"

Clearly, although Bege felt slightly awkward about what he'd done, the moment he heard Arashi was the owner, his first thought was that the door he could never open might finally be unlocked.

At the same time, he wanted to confirm whether Arashi was telling the truth.

"…."

Arashi was speechless.

So this guy hadn't just moved it—he'd also tried every possible way to destroy it before getting inside.

But honestly, anyone would've done the same. The more impossible it was to enter, the more irresistible it became.

Well… as long as he didn't shove it into his body like a fortress, it's fine.

Ten minutes later.

Arashi and Bege arrived at a massive courtyard.

It was a luxurious seaside villa, equipped with everything imaginable. Of course, for the boss of the West Blue underworld, a place like this was nothing special.

So Bege had quite "casually" moved the clinic right into his yard!

From the destroyed plants and the chaotic state of the courtyard, it was obvious the clinic had undergone plenty of "special treatment" since being brought here. Naturally, the clinic itself was perfectly fine—while Bege had clearly suffered more from the ordeal!

"Impressive."

Seeing the clinic sitting in the courtyard, Arashi couldn't help but give a mental thumbs-up.

Although it wasn't huge, it still had two floors and several rooms. As for the weight… well, this guy could literally turn into a fortress tank.

More importantly, thanks to the system's protection, the clinic couldn't be destroyed at all before Arashi arrived. Even if the entire West Blue collapsed, the clinic would remain intact. So Bege could move it around freely without worrying about damage.

"Heal the Wounded and Rescue the World"

Standing before the crooked clinic doors and looking at the signboard, Arashi felt a headache coming on.

Now that it had been moved into Bege's courtyard… how was he supposed to open a clinic and treat patients?

"Brother Arashi!"

Ever since learning Arashi was the owner, Bege had practically become a different person. Now that they were standing in front of the clinic, he looked both excited and nervous.

"If you really are the owner… then the door I've never been able to open can finally be opened!"

He hurried up to Arashi, unable to hide his anticipation.

"This… this really is your clinic, right?"

"That's right."

Arashi nodded, then said helplessly:

"But Bege, you've moved it into your courtyard—how am I supposed to open it and treat patients?"

"That's easy!"

Bege nodded decisively and gestured to his subordinates behind him.

Before Arashi could react, Bege suddenly raised his gun and pulled the trigger.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Gunshots rang out without warning, followed by miserable screams as several men collapsed to the ground, howling in pain.

"Now you've got patients."

Bege blew on the barrel of his gun and said calmly:

"As long as you want, I can send patients to your clinic every day!"

"Damn it!"

Arashi couldn't help but curse.

"Bege, you idiot—has your brain rusted? Those are your own men!"

"???"

"What did you just call me? I—idiot… shorty?!"

Bege froze for a moment, staring at Arashi in disbelief. Then he suddenly exploded with rage.

"You dare call me a shorty?! Go to hell!!"

"…"

Watching Bege erupt on the spot, Arashi sighed helplessly and waved his hand.

"Alright, alright—slip of the tongue! Just a slip! How about this, Bege—I know exactly what you're thinking."

Ignoring Bege's fury, Arashi grinned mischievously.

"You shot your own men just to test whether I can open the clinic door. If I can't, your gun won't be aimed at them next—it'll be aimed at me, right?"

"So let's play a game."

Arashi's smile grew even more wicked.

"If I can open this clinic door, then from now on, I get to call you 'shorty.' You're not allowed to object, get angry, or explode like a Note 7."

Bege had genuinely been furious just now.

After all, as the boss of the West Blue underworld, being called a "shorty" by some random traveler—who could tolerate that?

But thinking about how Arashi might truly be the clinic's owner, he forcibly calmed himself down.

After all, this clinic had already driven him nearly insane. If he could finally open its doors and see what was inside, it might just save him from losing his mind.

Wait a second—

What the hell did "explode like a Note 7" even mean?
