Years ago, after Roger surrendered, he was publicly executed right here.
His death also directly ushered in the Great Pirate Era.
Over the years, countless people of various identities and races have come to Loguetown, just to catch a glimpse of the place where Roger was executed.
It was very much like a popular tourist spot.
Reno only glanced at it as he passed by, then left, uninterested.
The man had been dead for so many years; what was there to see?
After wandering the streets for another two hours, Reno, feeling a bit hungry, walked into some inconspicuous small alleys.
Based on his experience, these places often hid small, unassuming eateries.
Perhaps their reputation wasn't widespread, but the taste of their food was definitely on par with the luxurious restaurants outside.
Following the wafting aroma of wine in the air, Reno entered a tavern.
As soon as he stepped inside, the stooped owner enthusiastically greeted him.
"Sir, what can I get for you?!"
"Bring me all your signature dishes and fine wines," Reno said, casually finding a seat.
"Just a moment, please." The owner responded, then turned and walked into the kitchen to get busy.
Reno looked around; there were only a few scattered people in the tavern, and business was quite slow.
It was completely different from the bustling, crowded streets outside, like two separate worlds.
Counting the time, he had been wandering for almost three hours. After eating, he should go find Glasses Girl.
He wondered if Tashigi was at the Marine base right now.
Soon, the tavern owner came over, carrying a steaming plate of food.
Before the dishes even reached the table, Reno suddenly raised an eyebrow.
The tavern door was pushed open, and Smoker, with three cigars in his mouth, walked in.
His gaze instantly fixed on Reno, and he said coldly:
"I finally found you, Reno, Captain of the Reno Pirates."
A powerful aura suddenly surged from Smoker's body.
Thick white smoke billowed around him.
Smoker's lips curled into a slight smile, a confident grin spreading across his face as he anticipated capturing Reno. "Reno, your journey as a pirate ends here."
His confidence was not blind.
The Jitte in Smoker's hand had Sea Stone embedded in its tip, which was the natural enemy of Logia-type Devil Fruit Users.
And Reno didn't have similar means.
This meant that none of Reno's attacks could cause him substantial harm.
In this battle, he had the advantage.
The atmosphere in the tavern immediately became tense due to Smoker's arrival.
"Is that so?!" Reno smiled and shook his head. "I don't think so."
"Hmph, what arrogance," Smoker snorted disdainfully.
He couldn't be bothered to exchange more words with the other party; he'd just capture him first.
"Two sirs, my shop is a small business, please be kind." The tavern owner looked distressed and quickly clasped his hands.
"Take it outside." Smoker's lower body transformed into a cloud of white smoke, and he quickly flew out of the tavern.
Now that he had found Reno, he wasn't afraid that the other party could escape right under his nose.
Reno smiled, left some Berries, and then followed him out.
Exiting the alley, the two arrived at an open space.
Smoker wasted no words and immediately attacked.
He wanted to take down Reno before Nami could arrive to provide support.
White Smoke Bomb!!
In an instant, Smoker's body completely transformed into billowing thick smoke.
The thick smoke enveloped Reno in a circle, like a moving cage sealing off all of Reno's escape routes.
Locking onto Smoker's true body with Observation Haki, Reno chuckled, "Logia-type Devil Fruit Users are rare, but a Logia-type as weak as you is even rarer."
Tempest Kick!!!
Reno kicked his right foot towards the front right, creating a vacuum slash.
Boom!
The kick, imbued with Armament Haki, accurately struck Smoker's true body.
"Ah!!"
Accompanied by a scream, a bloody mark appeared on Smoker's chest, and he was uncontrollably sent flying backward.
"Cough, cough," Smoker lay on the ground in a sorry state, staring intently at Reno, saying in disbelief, "Armament Haki?!"
In this region of the East Blue, there was actually someone who could master Armament Haki?
Back at Marineford, his teacher Zephyr had taught them Haki.
But Smoker hadn't taken it to heart.
After all, in the East Blue, let alone Haki users, even the concept of Haki wasn't widely known.

"Sir Smoker, are you alright?!" Tashigi came to Smoker's side, asking with concern.
"Damn it, didn't I tell you to leave quickly?!" Smoker said angrily.
Was he really going to be taken down by Reno in one swoop?!
"Smoker, she's at least showing concern for you, and you're acting like this?!" Reno's face immediately turned cold.
Tashigi:???
Is this pirate speaking up for me?!
Something's not right.
"You, you, don't come any closer!" Tashigi adjusted her slightly slipping glasses, pulling out Shigure in a panic.
"Don't be nervous, I won't hurt you." Reno smiled slightly, looking at Tashigi, and said very seriously, "As Captain of the Reno Pirates, I formally inform you that you are now a member of the Reno Pirates."
Tashigi was confused again, turning to look behind her.
No one.
"No need to look, it's you."
"Glasses Girl Tashigi."
Tashigi: Who are you calling Glasses Girl?!!
"Don't even think about it, I'm a Marine, how could I ever become a pirate?" Tashigi flatly refused.
Even if she died, there was no way she would become a pirate.
Absolutely impossible!
