Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

The buildings in the street trembled, and Glasses shattered, and people were crying for help

"Where are the rankers? Please help us."

Ji-Han, who was running, was scared; fear gripped him, and in his despair, he was shaking and went into hiding and muttered

" I thought I would be at least strong if I had awakened, and now I have awakened with a useless class."

"Am still weak, so weak" while breaking in tears, he heard a voice, "help my mom" and peeped through to see a young child, her mom had enter unconscious state while being injured protecting her mother.

"Why, why, why," he muttered

"Why am I so useless, such a hopeless life?" hitting his head on the brick, and tears filled his face.

The E-rank Orc approached the child with her mother lying on the floor. Tears filled her eyes, hoping someone would save her and her mom. The Orc raised its spiked club to hit the child, a stone with full force hit the Orc on its face, and Ji-Han rushed with a baseball bat, not knowing what his fate might unfold, to distract the Orc from the child and to concentrate its view on himself. The Orc was pissed and focused on him, landing a hit on him, but Ji-Han, to his surprise, evaded the attack, and the ground shattered, which made Ji-Han gulp.

While fighting and evading the Orc attack, reducing its HP and running tired, he came to himself and remembered that his barrier could serve as a shield, and activated the basic barrier.

[BASIC BARRIER LV1]

[DESCRIPTION: Creates a small energy shield in front of the user;

Can block weak physical and magical attacks.

Duration: 10seconds

Weakness: Breaks under heavy impact.]

He fought with his life hanging on a threshold against an Orc, and seeing how extremely weak he was, he was angered, swallowing the emotions that made him weak, and charge to the Orc and smatched the Orc on the head, but the wooden baseball broke, limiting the attack on the Orc. The Orc counterattacked him, and he quickly activated the barrier, but it was slow, and the impact from the Orc was much greater, which caused immense damage to his body. He couldn't give up, even hes in a duress and luckily saw a knife, picked it up, and charged and screamed.

"Am not weak," screaming

He landed a fierce damage on the Orc, and it died. Dropping the E-rank magic stone and low level dagger.

"DING."

[YOU HAVE LEVELED UP]

He took it, placing it in his inventory system, and went towards the girl, carrying her mom so they could hide as his strength was drained.

ASSOCIATIONS PARTY INTERVENTION

The monsters kept pouring out from the cracks, overwhelming the low-rank hunters who were barely holding on. Suddenly, at full speed, parties came rushing in to save civilians.

Han seung-ho a B-rank Veteran know for handling high-risk outbreaks, was leading the operation. He stepped forward, scanning the battlefield with sharp eyes.

"Assigned Party 3, secure the east sector."

"Assigned Party 5, support evacuation and assist low-rank hunters."

"Move." No hesitation.

Each party moved immediately into formation; Tankers to the front, Barrier users deployed shields, Attackers spread out, and Support remained behind.

"Engage"

An Orc charged forward—

CLANG!

It slammed into a barrier cast by Lee Min-seo, a D-rank barrier specialist.

"Now!"

Two attackers moved in sync—

Park Jin-woo (C-rank) struck the legs—

Choi Dae-hyun (C-rank) followed with a clean strike to the neck.

The Orc collapsed instantly.

Nearby, exhausted E-rank hunters stared in disbelief.

"…this is what real coordination looks like…"

Then—

Another set of vehicles arrived. But these bore different markings.

"Guild forces have entered the area!"

The first to step out was Ironclad Guild.

A mid-to-high tier guild known for its defensive formations.

At the front—

Captain Kang Do-won (B-rank Tank).

"C-rank unit, hold the western flank."

"D-rank team, assist evacuation."

"Frontliners with me—we push forward."

Behind them—

Another guild arrived.

Blue Horizon Guild.

A fast-strike guild specializing in mobility and precision.

Their captain—

Captain Yoo Ara (A-rank Assassin).

She glanced at the battlefield once—

"…too slow."

She vanished.

In the next second—

Three monsters dropped instantly.

Clean cuts.

No wasted movement.

"Advance," she said calmly.

Her team followed without hesitation.

Then-

A heavier presence arrived.

The ground seemed to grow tense.

Titanfall Guild.

One of the top guilds in the region.

At the center stood—

Captain Jang Hyun-soo (A-rank Warrior).

His massive weapon rested on his shoulder.

He looked at the chaos ahead and spoke—

"B-rank squad, clear the center."

"C-rank support, back them up."

"No mistakes."

"Understood, Captain!"

The battlefield began to shift; low-rank hunters who were struggling moments ago were now being supported. Monsters were being cut down faster, and the chaos was slowly stabilizing.
