Chapter 2 - RACE CREATION

Kai and Aiden chatted for a long time, both of them laughing and enjoying each other's company.

"Kai, I think you should check your planet now," Aiden suddenly said, raising his concern. "The Imperial Academy for the Starclave and Thornwood clans will open in the next 3 months."

Aiden did not feel the need to explain more; Kai already knew the rest of the gist.

"Yeah, yeah, they will ask me to join and graduate as the best so I can become the new ruler of the StarWood Empire," Kai said casually.

Although they were casual, if any other person were here, they could faint.

The StarWood Empire, the strongest force in the world by far, and he saw it as nothing.

Aiden just smiled. Staying with the boy for over 16 years, literally since the day he was born, had made him grow numb to his laziness.

"I will be back soon," Kai said as he called the system mentally.

The system flashed in his face, and he clicked on the tab labeled [Move to planet].

A blinding flash of white enveloped his body. Aiden, who stood at the side, was utterly unaffected by the radiance.

The light died down just as fast as it started. Kai was no longer there.

Aiden nodded, then moved on to clear the plates on the table.

Kai opened his eyes, beholding the sight of the world beneath him.

A supermassive planet that spanned billions of kilometers at a glance.

"It is quite huge," Kai muttered, stroking his chin. "Even the biomes are diverse."

He felt an itch to experiment with the planet, but he could not do that yet.

"Let me just descend and check for resources," he whispered to himself as his body began to drop towards the ground.

The descent was slow, as if gravity itself was trying to smoothen it.

He landed on the ground softly.

The place was covered in pure light that could easily blind a person if they were exposed to it for too long.

But Kai was not affected. As the master of the planet, he could never suffer environmental damage.

Walking around slowly, he noted everything he had seen.

"Why does this place seem barren?" he asked aloud.

Normally, a planet should have at least a race and some other organisms.

But this place was just there.

"I really don't want to create a race myself," he said, his eyes turning red.

He continued to walk. 30 minutes, an hour, then 2.

After walking for 5 whole hours, Kai finally stopped.

"System, I want to create a race."

Although he had not made a full survey of the entire place, just the places he had checked were enough for him to know the general situation.

[For race creation, these are the materials available on the planet.]

[Rootstone — Tier 1 — Extraordinarily flexible and elastic — bends without breaking, always returns to original shape]

[Magmite — Tier 3 — Permanently molten internally while solid externally — flows like liquid when pressure is applied, then hardens again instantly]

[Aurvein Crystal — Tier 3 — Physically solid compressed energy — has mass and weight like stone but is pure energy in solid form]

[Obsidian Shard — Tier 2 — The sharpest naturally occurring material on Caelum — cuts through almost anything]

Kai was almost dizzy as he read the minerals.

"Why do I have over 50 minerals on this planet?" he wondered.

Normally, if a planet has up to even 5 minerals, the owner was destined to soar to huge heights.

He thought of the 8 celestial bodies too. "With the way things are going, I wouldn't be too surprised if there was a dead god's body here," he muttered with a smile, focusing on his current business.

Race creation was simple and complex at the same time.

Simple because you only need to tell the system where you want the mineral to be used and the shape of the race.

Complex because you can make a stupid mistake that will make the race extremely useless.

But who was Kai? He had been learning about race creation since childhood. He knew well how to make the best of each mineral's characteristics.

He began to assign the body parts mentally.

'Use the rootstone for the arm,' he commanded. 'Windstone for bones.'

He began to input the minerals he wanted for each part into the system, from eyes to legs to the skin.

After about 10 minutes, he was finally done with the body.

[The race tier has been determined and classified as the peak of tier 4.]

Kai smiled at this.

"Let's create the skills," he said.

Normally, as a planet master, you could not use the same mineral used in a race creation for skills. This was one of the reasons why most people only had races created with one or two minerals.

Rarely did people create with more than that.

But Kai did not need to care about that. Even after using over 10 minerals to create, he still had more than enough to use.

"First, use the Aurvein Crystal for a skill that allows the user to compress aether into a light lance," he said.

[Deeming mineral compatibility with created skill.]

[Compatibility available. Skill: Light Lance has been created.]

Kai did not stop; he moved to the next mineral, Obsidian Shard.

"Use it to create a skill that allows the user to create sharp constructs on their hand."

[Deeming mineral compatibility with created skill.]

[Compatibility available. Skill: Razor Arm has been created.]

"Use the mineral Poolcore to create Void Step, a skill that allows the user to become intangible."

[Deeming mineral compatibility with created skill.]

[Compatibility available. Skill: Void Step has been created.]

[Planet master cannot create any other skill. You have reached the limit for a tier 1 planet master.]

Kai sighed. "You should have let me experiment more."

[Please name the race.]

"Celestial…" Kai was about to say, then he remembered. "That name is way too common among planet masters."

"Kaisters," he said with a bright smile.

[Confirm name.]

"Yes."

[The race master has successfully created their first race and has unlocked the magnitude tab, race tab, and civilization tab.]

[Race creation is in progress.]

[Time remaining: 20 hours]

[Due to the emergence of vital energy in the world, monsters and animals have started to grow too. Good luck, master.]

A series of notifications flashed in Kai's face.

"Whatever, just open the race tab for me."

He was eager to see the traits of his new race.
