Chapter 3 - PANEL

[Race name: Kaister]

[Race tier: 5]

[Racial traits:

True Flight: Can fly naturally and effortlessly.

Energy Sight: Perceives all forms of energy in the surrounding environment as clearly as physical objects.

Accelerating Movement: Speed compounds with sustained movement. The longer they move, the faster they become.

Elastic Hands: Stretch, compress, and bend beyond humanoid range. Grip cannot be broken. Absorbs physical impact completely.]

[Racial skills:

Razor Arm: Creates sharp constructs on the arm.

Light Lance: Forms a solid compressed energy projectile with actual mass. Passes through conventional shields.

Void Step: Temporarily become intangible.]

"That came as a surprise," Kai murmured, seeing as he was able to create the condition for true flight as a trait.

Normally, most of the minerals he saw were at most capable of reducing the body's mass.

But Kai had tried to find his way around it. By using Atmostite's gravity reduction effect, Channelcore's force redirection, and Windstone's lightness, he was able to build it.

"Still, I thought it would only be for a few moments, not true flight."

After a few minutes of reading and digesting the race traits, he finally dismissed the screen, moving to the next.

[Race magnitude: 0]

[Essence: 0]

Kai expected what he saw. After all, there was nothing on the planet yet.

Then a thought struck him.

"What is my race's magnitude?" he asked the system.

As a Planet Master, to advance to the next stage, one needed to fulfill the magnitude requirement.

Conquering other planets, increasing the technology of the race, the race's power, civilization, and everything else all contributed to magnitude increase.

As for essence, it could be called a Planet Master's salary, paid to him daily in an amount equal to his current magnitude.

Essence was used for various things, from materializing things from the planet into the physical world, to absorbing a race's gene to advance to the awakened stage, or even using the gene to create a potion for others to use. And these were just the surface-level uses.

[Each member of your race carries a magnitude of 0.1 from birth]

Kai was stunned by the revelation. With a magnitude of 0.1 at the start, it meant that even a new member could easily defeat the strongest non-awakened cultivator on his home planet.

Well, at least, with this, I can get all the food I want in the clan house.

The thought of getting any ingredient he wanted made him drool.

After a few moments, he got bored.

"System, send me out," he said.

There was nothing to wait for yet. The first race was only going to be available after 20 hours.

"If only I could find some good ingredients," he sighed as his body flickered out of the place.

He appeared on the dining chair he had sat on just before the teleportation.

By his side, Aiden stood calmly. "How was it, Master Kai?" he asked with a bow.

Kai smiled. "Better than I expected."

Aiden nodded, not prying further.

"The clan has sent a message for you to come to the main house within a week."

"Okay," Kai replied nonchalantly, then stood up, walking towards the staircase with slow steps.

At the foot of the stairs, he looked back at Aiden before going up.

"We will go in the next three days."

Aiden nodded from where he was, a slight smile on his face. He is going early for once, he thought.

Kai reached the top and turned to the left.

He did not walk for long before reaching a door.

His hand rested on the knob, pressing against it with minimal force.

The door clicked open.

The room was not too big. A bed was placed against the end wall, a work desk to its left, and a wardrobe to its right. Beside the wardrobe was another door, which led to the bathroom.

Kai walked into the bathroom sluggishly, taking a quick shower before coming back out.

He wore his blue pyjamas, a black inner shirt, and rubber slippers.

He jumped into the bed, his body sinking into the softness.

It didn't take long before he fell asleep.

The morning sun pierced through the veil of the window, pouring into Kai's soft green eyes.

"It's morning already?" he groaned with displeasure.

"System, when will the race creation be ready?" he asked.

[In about 12 hours]

"I will go to the main house tomorrow then," Kai muttered, rising from the bed.

He wanted to familiarize himself with his race before he got into any battle with his arrogant siblings and cousins.

Thinking about them, a smug smile appeared on his face.

I can't wait to see their expressions when they see the resources I can offer.

As he continued in his soliloquy, a soft knock came from the door.

He knew without doubt who it was. "Aiden, what is it?" he asked.

"The clan's messenger has come to deliver all your resources for today's cultivation," Aiden said.

Kai was about to burst into tears upon hearing Aiden. "Even staying away from the main estate can't save me from cultivating," he whispered under his breath.

The cultivation resources were what he would use to advance his personal cultivation stage.

He was currently only at Tier 1, the beginner stage on the path to transcendence.

"Master Kai, are you spacing out again?" Aiden called from the door.

"No, no," Kai said.

"I will be with you shortly. Let me bathe."

"Okay," Aiden said, walking back down the stairs.

Kai stood up from the bed sluggishly.

He picked the clothes he wanted to wear first: blue baggy pants and a white top.

Then he entered the bathroom.

The silence of the room was soon interrupted by the sound of water clashing against the tiles.

The sound went on for over ten minutes before it stopped.

Kai walked out of the bathroom after a three-minute pause.

A white towel was wrapped around his waist.

Kai quickly removed it and changed into the set of clothes he had picked earlier.

"What does Aiden have for me today?" he wondered as the thought of the delicacy made him forget what he had to do later.

He ran out of the room, descending the staircase with practiced ease and familiarity.

He saw Aiden setting the table up. It was a fairly simple meal, a thick, purple liquid-like substance that seemed to glow lightly.

Beside it, Aiden had sliced an unknown fruit for Kai, along with a hot glass of juice.

"I did not know we still had some Lunacream left," Kai said, looking at the meal in front of him.

"This is the rest. We would have to go to the main estate to get more," Aiden replied with a curt bow.

Kai nodded. "We will go there soon. Get my things ready in advance."

With those words, Kai dug into the sweet-tasting dessert.
