Chapter 32: The Pursuit (8)
Father, Abel and I all turned around to stare at Hades. He was red up to his ears, coughing awkwardly in all kinds of ways from embarrassment.
Father stared at Hades in that state with a troubled look, then he carefully said to me.
“For now, Aisha… Let’s have a talk, just the two of us.”
I eyed Hades discreetly. He scooped Abel up at once. He left the room in a blink of an eye with his face looking like a tomato, telling me to have a thorough word with father.
The moment Hades closed the door and left, father stepped close to me at once with a desperate look on his face. “Aisha!”
“What!” I said coldly, upset that he made an issue out of nowhere and made Abel cry.
“Are you, taking your medication on time?”
…Medication?
What came out of father’s mouth was quite random. I was expecting him to try and persuade me right away. Why would he mention medication instead?
