Varner was absolutely shocked and asked, "Who are you really? Why do you want my master dead?"
Bojo replied, "You are asking too many questions for a filthy goblin… don't forget, I have a hostage. You have to do whatever I tell you, without any questions."
Varner stood there silently.
Bojo left.
Varner didn't know what to do. He sat there, completely lost in his thoughts…
Rudo and the goblins were heading back to the village… and the goblins were shocked to see Earl had come with us without them knowing.
They scolded him…
Earl made a funny face and ran.
One goblin chased him back toward the forest.
Suddenly, we heard a sound. We all went there and saw a tunnel—someone had dug it a few days ago. Earl had fallen inside.
We went down to lift him up… and then we saw steps leading underground.
I wanted to check it, so I followed the steps…
And we saw a goblin girl in chains.
Earl and the other goblins shouted, "Marta!"
That was the one who got kidnapped by that demon.
Earl tried to go near her, but I warned him, "Look out—there are slimes surrounding her."
"And they don't look like average slimes…"
I asked Selena to use fire magic on them.
She cast a fireball and attacked—but they absorbed it.
My guess was correct… these are not normal slimes.
Back when I was in the demon kingdom, I had seen slimes—they were weaker than goblins.
But these…
These slimes were equal to humans.
I looked at my team.
"It's time for us to get serious."
Pears cast his wind slash… but the slimes absorbed it.
Selena cast Firestorm… and they absorbed that too. They turned bright red, but it still didn't do anything to them.
The goblins couldn't just stand back after seeing Marta. They rushed forward and started attacking the slimes.
But even their physical attacks didn't work… the slimes were too strong.
Pears quickly reacted and used his wind magic to pull the goblins back, saving them before things got worse.
I warned Selena not to cast powerful spells—Marta was there, and not to mention, we were underground.
Selena replied, "Okay, I understand… but how can we defeat them?"
I didn't know what to tell her.
I cast one of Rudo's original spells—Water Slicers—but they absorbed that too.
Then… I got an idea.
"Maria," I called.
"What, Rudo?" she replied.
"I have a plan. Come here."
told her the plan. She nodded and started doing it.
We had water bottles with us. I asked her to turn them into holy water…
Then we threw the water at the slimes.
They absorbed it—
…and my plan worked.
The holy water acted like acid inside them.
The slimes were defeated just like that.
We saved Marta.
The goblins held her close and started crying.
We climbed out of the pit.
We gave Marta food and water… she ate like she hadn't eaten for days.
And then… we started moving back toward the village. We reached the village with Marta. The goblins ran out, shouting, "We saved Marta!"
Everyone came out, looking for her.
There were tears of happiness everywhere… and it felt good.
Earl was shouting, "I saved her!"
The other goblins started making fun of him. It was a good moment.
Varner came out of his tent, carrying a sword.
He saw Marta… and froze in shock.
He ran toward her, lifted her up, and asked, "Are you okay? Did he do anything to you? How did you escape?"
She said, "They saved me… that demon left me with those scary slimes…"
She started crying.
Varner held her and said, "I will make him pay."
Then he turned toward us and said, "Thank you again for saving my village once again."
We replied, "It's fine…"
But we still remembered our real mission…
And Maria was ready for it at any time.
Suddenly, Bojo appeared. He knew Marta was no longer under his control… but he thought at least he could kill Varner.
We offered Varner help, but he refused. He said he wanted to fight Bojo one-on-one.
Varner said to Bojo, "If you want to fight… let's fight near the lake."
Bojo replied, laughing, "Yeah… that's a good place for me to kill you with my own hands."
So Varner and Bojo went there…
And they were ready to face each other, one-on-one. Varner was angry… his eyes were red.
Bojo was standing in front of him, smirking.
Varner charged at Bojo in anger. He slammed his fists into the ground, and thick green vines came out. They moved like snakes, rushing toward Bojo—
But Bojo cast dark blue flames… and completely burned the vines.
Bojo cast fireballs. Blue-colored fireballs appeared.
Varner knew his plant spells were useless against Bojo. He dodged the fireballs, took out his sword, and tried to get close.
Bojo noticed and laughed.
"Oh? Trying to slash me with that sword now? You're not a chief for nothing, I guess… but I'm sorry to tell you—"
He reached behind him and pulled out a few small skeletons. He threw them forward.
They grew bigger…
Then Bojo cast his blue flames on them.
They absorbed it, and their bodies were surrounded by blue fire. Each of them held a sword and shield.
Varner knew he was in trouble now.
He tried attacking them to reach Bojo, but they were tough. They blocked his attacks with their shields and struck back.
He couldn't use his plant magic—they were burning with blue flames.
Then Varner got an idea.
He cast a spell. Roots burst from the ground, breaking it apart.
The skeletons attacked the roots—but they fell into the cracks.
Varner immediately sealed them inside using the roots.
Bojo smirked.
"Smart… I expect nothing less from that dragon's student. But still—you're just a filthy goblin."
He cast a Firestorm.
Varner got hit and fell to the ground.
Bojo cast another spell—fire surrounded Varner. He was trapped.
"You filthy goblin… now I'm going to destroy your village. I want you to know what happens when you face us."
Bojo turned and started walking toward the village.
Just as he was about to leave—
Varner jumped from behind and drop-kicked him.
Varner's body was covered in burn injuries… but he was still ready to fight.
Varner started casting again.
Bojo laughed.
"It's useless. Your plant magic is nothing against my power."
He cast fireballs—
But Varner countered them using water plants from the lake.
He started using the lake plants to attack Bojo… and it worked.
They didn't burn as easily.
Bojo realized things were getting out of his control.
He raised his hand—
"Meteor."
Blue-colored meteors started falling from the sky, almost destroying the forest.
Varner used all the lake plants to throw water upward, stopping the flames.
Steam filled the area… smoke surrounded them.
Suddenly—
Varner appeared in front of Bojo and slashed his chest.
Bojo fell down.
Varner stood over him, ready to finish it—
But suddenly, a dark portal opened beneath Bojo and pulled him inside.
He disappeared.
Varner realized—Bojo wasn't working alone.
He returned to the village.
Everyone welcomed him back…
And then—
Suddenly, the goblins surrounded us.
During our journey, one of the goblins had overheard Maria and me talking about our mission.
We didn't know what to say.
Varner stepped forward.
"Stop it, guys… even if it's true, they still saved us."
Suddenly—
An arrow shot through the air and hit Varner.
He lost consciousness and fell.
We looked up—
A group of humans… probably Lincoln's men, wearing white robes… were sitting on the trees.
We didn't expect this.
We were shocked.
The village was completely surrounded by them, verner was lying unconscious in the ground..and the humans came down from the tree and walked straight to us .
