Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Insult

Chapter 28: Insult

Kofushi looked on in disbelief, then sneered, "Do you think I believe you?"

Alex Moyan replied indifferently, "Whether you believe it or not is up to you. My main purpose for coming this time is to tell you all..."

"Hurry up. The Jujutsu World has already detected your tracks and activities."

Kofushi still harbored some doubt. "What exactly is your goal? Why are you doing this?"

"Resurrecting those ancient great demons would be a disaster for you Jujutsu Sorcerers, for all of Japan, and even for the entire world."

"Could it be that you want to join us?"

Kofushi teased, letting out a harsh, piercing laugh.

"It seems you still haven't recognized the situation."

Alex Moyan let out a long sigh, drew his blade, and utilized the Reverse Cursed Technique to heal Kofushi.

Kofushi's wounds began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Just as the wounds were about to close completely, Alex Moyan plunged the blade back in with a squelch.

Kofushi screamed in agony as fresh blood began to flow once more.

Kofushi was completely stunned. "You're a psychopath! You heal me just to stab me again!"

Only now did Kofushi realize that the youth before her was exceptionally perverse, not playing by the rules at all.

He was a match for her own temperament!

Kofushi herself was like this—eccentric in personality, smiling and seemingly harmless one moment...

...and sitting on top of you to suck you dry the next.

The youth before her was the same.

One moment he was gently healing your wounds, and the next he was opening a new one.

"Me? I'm just simply bored."

Alex Moyan smiled.

"Do you know how lonely it is to be invincible?"

"So, I want to find some fun."

Listening to Alex Moyan's words, an incredible thought rose in Kofushi's mind.

This guy... he wouldn't be planning to fight the resurrected Yamata no Orochi and Daitengu, would he?

If Alex Moyan could hear Kofushi's inner thoughts...

...he would definitely laugh out loud in mockery.

Of course not!

Who the hell would be so bored as to specifically seek out life-and-death combat with ancient great demons of terrifying strength?

When I, Alex Moyan, fight, I only enjoy one-sided crushing massacres and easy victories.

If I can gang up on someone, I'll never fight one-on-one; if I can dominate, I'll never struggle!

"The only existence capable of exchanging blows with me is my closest friend."

"But honestly, fighting him always feels a bit lacking."

Alex Moyan's tone was somewhat helpless. Fighting him meant he couldn't use lethal force, so where was the fun in that?

Kofushi thought to herself, "The closest friend he mentioned? Could it be that Six Eyes from the Gojo Family? If so, it would make sense."

"But this kid's strength has probably already surpassed that Six Eyes of the Gojo Family. After all, that Six Eyes didn't give me such a profound sense of despair back then."

Alex Moyan watched Kofushi as she pondered.

He sneered inwardly, "Think, go ahead and think."

"You would never guess that my true goal is to absorb your so-called Yamata no Orochi and Tamamo-no-Mae to enhance my own strength."

"And you lot are merely the food I am patiently waiting for."

Using the fear Japan felt toward Tamamo-no-Mae and Yamata no Orochi to create Special Grade Imaginary Cursed Spirits.

Using them as vessels and sacrificing a large number of Cursed Spirits to recreate a sliver of the grace of those legendary great demons.

To put it bluntly, the resurrected ones would still be Cursed Spirits, just much more powerful.

They weren't the actual ancient great demons.

Wasn't that purely a gift for me? Before my Limitless Cursed Spirit Manipulation Technique, any Cursed Spirit I want to subdue only requires a single, light sentence."

After all the hard work you've put in for so many years, spending massive amounts of wealth and resources, you finally capture a Special Grade Cursed Spirit.

Before you even have a chance to get used to it, I'll take it away with one sentence.

When that time comes, you'll probably hate me to death.

And then I'll kill you, turn you into Cursed Spirits, and subdue you too.

It's truly heartless; I won't even let them go after they're dead.

Alex Moyan did a rough estimation.

The leaders of the Three Great Curse Wielder Organizations were all very powerful existences among Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerers.

After death, they could completely become Special Grade Cursed Spirits.

The three Imaginary Cursed Spirits: Tamamo-no-Mae, Yamata no Orochi, and Daitengu.

That's another three Special Grade Cursed Spirits, and very powerful ones at that.

Add to that nearly a hundred Curse Users from the three organizations.

Though most were Grade Three or Grade Four existences...

...who could only serve as Assistant Directors in the Jujutsu World.

But even small mosquitoes have meat; a lot of them would be quite savory.

By his count, Alex Moyan could harvest at least six Special Grade Cursed Spirits with strength no weaker than Ghost Mask.

And nearly a hundred ordinary Cursed Spirits.

It could be called a bumper harvest, especially the gains in Special Grade Cursed Spirits, which would directly eclipse the years of hard work put in by the Darkened Geto Suguru.

Kofushi more or less understood Alex Moyan's thoughts.

She couldn't help but find it laughable.

Although Alex Moyan was powerful, in the face of something at the level of Yamata no Orochi, he was merely a slightly larger ant.

One must know that as a legend known to everyone in Japan, its strength far exceeded the so-called Six Eyes.

Even the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer of ancient times, Abe no Seimei, could not subdue any one of those demons alone.

Even with only one percent of their power, the leaders of the three organizations would be no match.

Furthermore, this time they could channel one-tenth of the power of the three great demons!

This power was enough for them to turn the tide and dominate all of Japan!

As long as they successfully resurrected Tamamo-no-Mae and Yamata no Orochi...

...then they would be the true heavens of the Jujutsu World!

Alex Moyan looked at Kofushi, whom he had pinned to the ground.

He felt a bit bored. "The most important thing is, you all are too weak."

"It makes killing you quite unsatisfying."

"In fact, I've known about your hiding places for a long time."

"But the reason I haven't moved against you is because you still have a bit of value to me."

"I will appear at the most critical moment of your resurrection."

"I hope you can put up a desperate resistance then."

"Don't let your plans fall through just because I show up."

As Alex Moyan said this, he couldn't help but burst into loud laughter.

This feeling of them being the meat on his chopping block was truly wonderful.

Kofushi was left speechless by Alex Moyan's words, her throat tight with frustration.

But at the same time, she was secretly pleased.

After all, their secret base was no ordinary place.

It was an Innate Domain created jointly by the three leaders.

It was their home turf.

While none of the three of us are your match in a one-on-one fight...

...if you dare to come challenge us alone, we naturally have plenty of means to take your head as a blood sacrifice to the gods we worship.

However, Alex Moyan's contempt and insult toward the Lady Tamamo-no-Mae they worshiped made Kofushi extremely incensed.

Three days later, Kofushi arrived in Kyoto.

Inside a Barrier, the "Broken Fist" leader chopper coldly rebuked Kofushi for her behavior at the hotel a few days prior.

He said Kofushi's recklessness had exposed them.

Kofushi didn't give chopper any face either, directly retorting and arguing with him.

Meanwhile, the news headlines for the past few days had been replaced with stories about a gas leak at a certain five-star hotel that led to a large number of victim fatalities.

The actual truth had long been covered up by the Japanese Government.

Because once the general public learned the truth about Cursed Spirits...

...the massive influx of negative emotions would directly cause society to collapse, and the resulting Cursed Spirits would leave the already understaffed Jujutsu World stretched even thinner.
