Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: You Just Have to Fall in Love With My Husband~

"Miss March 7th, we'll be in your care from here on out."

"Please look after us, Sister March!" Yui added quickly, her expression solemn and sincere.

"Leave it to me!" March 7th patted her chest with confidence and took the lead, walking out of the apartment. Misaki and Yui exchanged a glance before hurrying to catch up.

"Oh, right. I almost forgot to tell you." March 7th stopped abruptly and turned back to face them, her tone becoming serious. "While you can now kill monsters, level up, and earn Gold Coins like Heroes, as tenants of this apartment, a portion of your experience and Gold Coins must be shared with the Administrator—that is, my husband. For example, since I'm helping you hunt right now and letting you land the final blow, you'll likely have to hand over 90% of the experience and coins."

"I see... Alright, I understand."

Misaki was slightly taken aback, but she accepted the rule quickly. Su Mu had provided them with a home and was now personally assisting their hunt; giving up 90% of the spoils felt entirely reasonable.

"Even if you manage to hunt independently later, you'll still have to share at least 60% of your earnings," March 7th continued, a flash of mischief crossing her eyes. "However, if you want to increase your share, there is a way—you just have to upgrade from a Tenant to an Apartment Employee. If you're an Employee hunting independently, you only have to share 10% at most."

Hearing this, a spark of hope ignited in Misaki's eyes. She asked urgently, "Um... how does one become an Apartment Employee?"

"It's very simple." A triumphant grin curled onto March 7th's lips as she spoke playfully. "You just have to fall in love with my husband~"

While March 7th's words seemed like a joke, they were rooted in the system's logic—if Misaki truly fell for the "Main Body," her Favorability would surely break the 50 mark, meeting the criteria for employment.

"...Eh? Th-that's…"

March 7th's bluntness caused both Misaki and Yui to freeze in their tracks. Their cheeks flushed a deep crimson, and they lowered their heads in a panic. Their breathing quickened, leaving them utterly speechless.

"That's right, fall in love." March 7th's smile grew even more mischievous as she deliberately emphasized her words. "Whether it's the heart-fluttering kind of love, or the... 'physical' kind of love, both work~"

At this, the two were so mortified they wished they could vanish. They buried their faces even deeper, clutching the hems of their clothes, unable to muster a single word of rebuttal.

March 7th knew when to stop. She ceased her teasing and straightened her tone. "Alright, pull yourselves together. In a moment, I'll beat the monsters down to critical health and leave the final blow to you. Don't be too nervous to strike."

"...Yes!" they both responded in unison. Though they were relieved the teasing had ended, they quickly adjusted their mindsets, their gazes becoming determined.

On the top floor of the apartment, Su Mu shook his head helplessly as he listened to the conversation through his permissions, but he didn't stop her. Since March 7th was his clone, her whims were essentially reflections of his own subconscious thoughts.

As for the rules March 7th mentioned, they were accurate. There was a significant difference in the distribution of experience and Gold Coins between Employees and Tenants. This was something Su Mu had learned when he first started killing monsters.

Previously, because there were no other participants, all experience and coins went to him. Now that there were tenants, the distribution ratios had become defined.

Tenants: Their share of experience and Gold Coins ranges from 10% to 40% (meaning Su Mu takes 90% to 60%). Even if a tenant completes a hunt entirely on their own, they must still give Su Mu at least 60%. If Su Mu (or his clones) assists, that "tax" can go up to 90% depending on the contribution.

Employees: Their distribution is much more generous. While the lower limit is still 10% (if assisted), the upper limit reaches 90%. If an employee hunts entirely by their own power, they only need to give Su Mu 10%.

One might wonder: In that case, why not just become an independent Hero? After all, independent Heroes keep 100% of their spoils.

The reality, however, was harsh. If these women had the talent to awaken as Heroes on their own, they wouldn't have been homeless and desperate. By becoming tenants of the Goddess Apartment, they gained the ability to grow stronger even as "ordinary people." Even with a 90% deduction, it was a miraculous opportunity.

Furthermore, once Favorability reached the requirement, they could become Employees, formally awaken their talents, and become true Heroes. If ordinary people without awakened talents knew about this chance, they would likely fight tooth and nail to get in.

As for the possibility of established Heroes becoming tenants later—would they be dissatisfied with the "tax"? Su Mu wasn't worried.

The Goddess Apartment offered far more than just a room. It provided an absolutely safe environment, unrivaled comfort, rejuvenating health effects, a diverse Apartment Store, and, most importantly, a life-saving teleportation function that could pull them back to safety instantly during a hunt.

In a world as dangerous as this, the first step to becoming stronger is staying alive. Once they understood the value of these features, Heroes would flock to the apartment regardless of the sharing ratio.
