A message from an unknown number appeared that night, pulling her into a nightmare she never imagined: “Do you really think your husband only cheated on you?” Along with it came a video… showing the man who once swore to protect her and their children at all costs, calmly discussing a “plan” involving their own son. From that moment on, her world began to collapse in a completely different way. Were the things she saw even real? Was the man who betrayed her truly the villain… or was he hiding a secret beyond her imagination? And that other woman… was she just a mistress, or the one who deliberately dragged her into all of this? Caught between love and hatred, trust and suspicion, she is forced to make a choice. Protect her son… or keep believing in the man who betrayed her? Because sometimes— the truth isn’t what we see… but what others want us to believe.

Chapter 1 - It’s Not Just Cheating

"A—ah…Ah ... a....a .... ah ....ah ... harder…"

"Mmm… uh...uh...uh....uh....uhm...''

''....don't stop…"

"Faster… just like that…"

The broken sounds coming from behind the hotel room door cut straight into my ears like blades.

My hand froze on the doorknob.

My body went rigid.

That voice…

I knew it too well.

My husband's.

And… another woman's.

I kicked the door open without hesitation.

The world shattered in an instant.

The woman was straddling him.

Her shirt was half unbuttoned. Her skirt pushed up to her waist. Their bodies tangled together without a hint of shame.

There was no need to ask.

No room for denial.

They were cheating.

"…So this is your 'business trip'?"

My voice came out colder than I had ever heard it before.

My husband froze.

The color drained from his face.

The woman scrambled off him, hurriedly fixing her clothes.

"L-listen… let me explain—"

"Explain?"

I let out a hollow laugh.

Then I stepped forward, one step at a time.

Slowly.

Slap.

The sound echoed sharply.

His head snapped to the side.

The entire room fell silent.

"You still have the nerve to talk to me?"

I stared at him, my eyes completely void of emotion.

"I stayed home and raised the kids."

"I took care of every meal, every expense."

"And you…"

My gaze shifted to the messy bed.

"…you took care of sleeping with another woman?"

"You need to calm down…"

He rushed toward me, panic written all over his face.

"Don't touch me."

I stepped back, my voice cold as ice.

At that moment, the other woman let out a mocking laugh.

"You're overreacting."

I turned to look at her.

She pulled the blanket tighter around herself, her eyes filled with provocation.

"He already told me everything."

"He never loved you."

The air froze.

My husband's expression changed instantly.

"Shut up!"

"Isn't it true?" she smirked. "You said she was just responsibility. You only married her because of the child."

My heart clenched painfully.

I turned my head slowly to look at him.

"…You said that?"

He went stiff.

He didn't answer.

That silence…

was the answer.

A hoarse laugh escaped my throat.

"So…"

"I sacrificed my youth…"

"…just to be your 'responsibility'?"

"That's not what I meant—"

"Shut up."

For the first time, I cut him off without hesitation.

I looked straight into his eyes, my gaze terrifyingly calm.

"You want freedom, don't you?"

He froze.

I let out a faint smile.

"Fine."

"I'll give it to you."

The woman beside him smiled smugly.

I stepped closer to her and stopped right in front of her.

"But you should remember one thing."

My voice lowered.

"A man who can betray his wife…"

I tilted my head slightly, locking eyes with her.

"…will betray you too."

Her smile stiffened.

I smiled faintly.

"Congratulations to both of you."

Then I turned around.

"Wait!"

My husband rushed toward me in panic.

I sidestepped him easily.

My eyes turned sharp.

"Touch me one more time…"

"…and I'll make sure you lose everything."

He stopped dead in his tracks.

Not daring to move any closer.

I took out my phone.

Click.

Click.

Click.

The flash went off repeatedly.

"What are you doing?!" the woman screamed.

I curled my lips into a faint smirk.

"Keeping evidence."

Then I turned and walked away.

I didn't look back.

The door slammed shut behind me.

The hallway stretched endlessly ahead.

Each step felt heavy…

yet strangely lighter at the same time.

Not because the pain was gone.

But because I finally understood.

A woman endures not because she is weak…

but because she is trying to hold a family together.

But if that family is built on lies…

then leaving is the only choice.

That night, I returned home.

The children were already asleep.

My son clutched his worn teddy bear.

My daughter held onto my shirt, as if afraid I might disappear.

My chest tightened.

I sat by their bed for a long time, gently brushing their hair.

"From now on…"

I whispered softly.

"I won't let you grow up in a family built on lies."

Outside the window, the night wind passed quietly.

A marriage had just ended.

But my life…

had only just begun.

My phone suddenly vibrated.

A message from an unknown number appeared.

"I know you've discovered your husband's affair."

"If you want to know a truth far more terrifying…"

"Come to this address at 9 a.m. tomorrow."

The screen glowed in the dark room.

I stared at the message.

My heart skipped a beat.

A truth more terrifying?

I tightened my grip on the phone.

Not knowing that…

this betrayal was only the beginning.
