Dawn stayed in that stance with her eyes closed until the horned cats came into view. Her eyes snapped open, the ground beneath her cracked.
She blasted forward.
Her speed was so high that all she needed was one stride to get to the horned cats.
Instantly, one of the cats attacked, its stinger-like tail made an arch through the air, coming for her head. Dawn glanced at the tail for only a second, then swung her head back, evading it completely as her hair flowed beautifully.
She gripped her sword with both hands and immediately went for the slash, flowing upwards with it beautifully. There were absolutely no wasted movements as the blade cut deep into the flesh of the cat.
Blood splashed into the air, creating a beautiful flow of crimson liquid.
Rawwwwwrr!
The horned cat cried in pain, but as its body was cut open, a core at its chest was revealed, its monster core, a purple and black mass that pulsed with energy.
Dawn thrust for the core without hesitation, her blade stabbed into the core, shattering it in an instant and killing the horned cat.

Elias received another notification the moment she killed it, but his concentration was fixed on her and not that, because he was entranced by her swordplay. It wasn't just attacking to take down an enemy, no, it was attacking to push her will, her will of cutting through.
The next horned cat attacked from her side, it used its mouth and lunged at her, teeth sharp as razors came for her neck.
Dawn leaned back, evading the attack by an inch, and then, using the base of her sword, slammed into the head of the horned cat extremely fast, shattering the skull as brain matter and blood gushed out.
She stepped to the side fast and drove the blade right through its side, stabbing into the core while already looking at another horned cat that was lunging at her.

She pulled the sword out.
Swoosh!
Blood spilled, and more continued in an arch as she slashed upwards for the neck of the next horned cat. It was fast, too fast for the horned cat to even react.
SLASH!
The head of the horned cat spun in the air. In just a matter of seconds, she had easily killed three.

She charged at the next. Three horned cats lunged at her at the same time, all wanting to get her and kill her. She stopped, planting her feet into the ground hard, the ground cracked.
She took a deep breath, and then in a calm voice,
"Thunder Slash."
The words left her mouth, and everything went quiet for a moment. What followed was the sound of thunder as her hands arched through the air in a beautiful slash faster than the human eye could follow. It was so loud that Elias was forced to cover his ears in fear of losing his eardrum.
CRACKLE!
BOOM!
When the sound ended, Elias looked up, and there were no monsters anymore, not even their bodies.

"She killed all three in one slash?" He couldn't help but be shocked, she was completely overpowered.
Dawn looked at what was left of the horned cats. She pointed her sword forward, watching as the horned cats swarmed towards her all at once.
"Hundred Slashes." As she said that, she made one powerful slash, and a hundred slashes cut through the air, ripping through everything in their path, decapitating the horned cats, slashing through their bodies.
In one move, she dealt with everyone that was left.
Elias received a string of messages after that, and then a new one followed.

He wasn't sure what it was yet, but he didn't have the time to check, as right at that moment, the bigger cat finally stepped out.
Dawn stood there, steadying her breathing as the cat got closer, far bigger than the ones before, and with a terrifying aura.
When it got within a certain distance of her, it let out a roar that shook the walls of the entire dungeon. It locked eyes on her, knowing that she was the enemy, the one that had taken out its children.
"Master, please can you step back, you are within an unsafe range for this battle," Dawn said while looking forward.
Elias heard her and didn't argue, he slowly backed away. He could already feel the tension rising between them, and he knew for sure that this battle was going to be something else.
After he was far away, Dawn moved her right foot backward and bent her left slightly. She held her sword right in front of her.
At the same time, she and the cat moved. Dawn shot forward, and the cat attacked with its stinger.
She watched the stinger arch through the air, her eyes followed it closely while she ran forward at the same time. When the stinger was in range, she blocked, slashing to her side. The blade collided with the stinger, knocking it back, sparks flew.
She closed the distance faster, going for the head.
RAWR!
The horned cat attacked, swiping its paw at her. Those long claws would dig deep into her body if she got hit. She used her sword to block the attack.
BAM
The collision threw her to the side, but she landed on the wall with her feet, and then propelled off immediately, shooting at the horned cat.
It defended with its stinger.
CLANG!
She was knocked back, in the air for a few seconds, and the cat attacked her in the air. The stinger ripped through the air fast at her, she blocked again and was thrown back, slamming into the wall and leaving a massive crack.
The horned cat saw its opportunity and immediately rushed at the wall, attacking it with its stinger, but as the dust cleared, she wasn't there anymore.
The cat looked behind it, seeing Dawn in the air. She pulled her hand back.
"Thunder Slash."
She slashed, and the same explosive sound ripped through the air, everything trembled, even the air, sounding like an explosion.
BOOM
The slash hit the cat and the ground. The explosion ripped through the air, dust and blood mixed, but when it all cleared, the cat was still standing, mangled, completely beaten, yet it wasn't down.
Its core was exposed, but its flesh was healing at a visible pace.
Dawn landed on the ground, looking at the cat. She understood now that it was going to be far harder to kill.
Elias, who was watching, was shocked. He had seen the effect of the Thunder Slash before, so seeing that the cat survived it was shocking.
"It survived the attack, what the hell is this monster?" Elias wondered.
