Peter's figure flickered, reappearing dozens of meters away in a clearing. Gently setting Felicia down, he spoke softly:
"Relax. Just leave the rest to me."
After giving her that reassurance, Peter vanished again. Felicia watched his retreating back, a look of infatuation and bashful adoration crossing her face beneath her mask.
Returning to Gwen and Tony's side, Peter observed the red monster, which was acting erratic after having its hand severed. He was certain this was a symbiote.
Combined with Gwen's mention of the name "Alexei," he quickly pieced together what had happened during the recent prison break.
Realizing he was dealing with another symbiote, Peter knew the protocol:
"Miss Ghost-Spider, please help the NYPD evacuate the surrounding civilians. This fight is about to get... loud."
"Are you Pet—?" Gwen suddenly realized the mystery man in the white-and-gold armor was the Peter she'd been longing for.
Fine, she thought, looks like that Invisible Dragon has gifted Peter some new gear again. Must be nice...
Gwen trusted Peter implicitly, so she didn't hesitate to follow orders: "Uh... understood, Mr. Arbiter!" With a swing of her webs, she zipped off toward the crumbling buildings.
"Wow~"
As soon as Gwen left, Tony flew closer, opening his faceplate to inspect Peter's new suit. "Where'd you get these threads? This much gold isn't really your style, is it?"
Peter tilted his head to dodge a massive boulder hurled by Radiation, replying nonchalantly:
"Not my style? How about this, then?"
Peter flicked a ring across his driver. A crimson magic circle flared, and he instantly swapped to the black-and-red Flame Style.
"F***!" Tony was genuinely stunned. He knew Peter was a mage, but the previous spells hadn't been this flashy. The giant magic circle and instant-costume-change were peak theatrics. "Magic has evolved this much? Where have you been hiding—Hogwarts?"
"Hogwarts doesn't teach this one~"
Peter used Moonwalk to dodge Radiation's punch, then countered with a Blazing Rasengan slammed directly into the monster's gut. The explosive force caused the massive creature to stumble back half a step.
But to Peter's surprise, the red symbiote didn't show signs of separating from Alexei despite the high temperature. It was as if this creature had overcome the species' genetic weakness to fire!
Because he hadn't expected a symbiote to ignore heat, Peter's reaction was a fraction of a second slow. The enraged Radiation swung a fist the size of a pressure cooker.
BANG!
A staggering force hit Peter mid-air, making him feel like he'd been struck head-on by a high-speed train. He was sent hurtling back, carving a long trench into the asphalt.
"You okay?" Tony asked, genuinely worried. He'd never seen Peter take such a clean hit. He fired a series of repulsor blasts to draw the monster's attention and buy Peter time
. Tony knew that a single punch from this thing had nearly dented his Mark armor and knocked the wind out of him; he feared Peter's non-metal suit wouldn't hold up.
"Did you forget I have a healing factor?"
Peter flew out of the trench unscathed, flickering in front of Radiation. He slammed both fists into the monster's chest.

Vroom—!
The terrifying force created a visible shockwave in the air. Even a behemoth like Radiation couldn't tank it. He was sent flying backward, crushing a small shop into rubble. His chest biomass was torn open, revealing Alexei's battered torso.
However, symbiote regeneration was top-tier. As the red suit flowed back together, the wound vanished.
Peter looked at the ruins and commented, "Honestly, this guy's strength is a bit over-powered (OP)."
Tony: "..."
Seriously, dude? You're complaining about him being OP while you just punched him fifteen meters away? You've really mastered the art of the 'humble brag.'
If Peter could hear Tony's thoughts, he'd feel misunderstood. He was genuinely shocked because Radiation's raw strength was actually higher than Peter's own optimized symbiote form!
This was illogical. The Omnitrix optimized DNA to make Peter the "prime" version of a species. Theoretically, no Klyntar should be stronger than him. Yet this red one was suppressing him in raw power and ignoring fire?
What, are you a 'Red Power Type' Ultraman or something?
Realizing something was fishy, Peter turned to Tony. "Tony, contact Rhodey. Ask him if this guy was this big when he first appeared, or if he absorbed some specific energy."
Tony acted as the relay, returning with an answer moments later: "The big guy only ballooned up after he attacked that green monster, Hulk."
Peter exhaled in relief. He knew it! No symbiote could out-evolve the Omnitrix's selection naturally. It turned out Radiation had used Alexei's radioactive body as a conduit to treat the Hulk like a giant battery.
"That explains it."
Peter noticed the monster's size had already shrunk slightly as it struggled to its feet. "If that's the case, I know how to deal with you. I just have to drain your battery, right?"
Peter swapped rings again. "Hurricane Style, Please~!" No, wait—"Land Style"? No...
He opted for a specialized variant. Since fire didn't work, he'd use speed and vibrations.
Zzzt—!
Switching back to a lightning-enhanced state, Peter increased the output of his Lightning Release Chakra. Violent bolts of electricity danced across his surface, forming a crackling layer over his armor.
