"Come on, Little Red."
Peter beckoned toward "Radiation" with a hooked finger.
"Let me see... where exactly is your limit?"
"ROAR!!!"
Seeing Peter return to his white-gold form, "Radiation" immediately recalled the terror of having its palm sliced off by that "super-model" hand blade.
The unpleasant memory stimulated its instincts, causing it to hiss on the spot. It roared and charged at Peter.
It was a standard "Alexei-style" rhino charge.
If it weren't for the fact that his Land Style couldn't utilize the Lightning Release Armor, Peter really would have wanted to conjure a Mud Wall just to see exactly how hard this guy's head was. But for now, he had to set that plan aside.
Peter didn't choose to use his speed advantage to dodge. Instead, he intended to go head-to-head for a couple of rounds to get a feel for the strength.
After all, since activating the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, he hadn't truly tested what it felt like to fight an opponent at full power.
With this in mind, Peter didn't dodge or evade. On the contrary, he opened his arms toward the charging Radiation.
BOOM!
Under Tony's shocked gaze, Peter actually caught the charging monster's massive head in a wrestling-like grip without flinching.
His frame was pushed back several meters by Radiation's violent momentum, his feet carving two deep trenches into the pavement once again.
Just as Tony was lamenting that Peter was being too reckless, Peter stabilized his footing. Then...
"UP YOU GO!"
With a loud shout that left Tony jaw-dropped, Peter physically hoisted the entire bulk of Radiation into the air. And then...
Liger Bomb!
Peter shouldered Radiation and slammed the monster head-first into the earth in a devastating powerbomb.
CRASH!
The ground shook violently. A massive crater over a hundred meters wide and nearly two meters deep instantly formed. Surrounding shops and residential buildings collapsed one after another in the wake of the terrifying tremors.
"Holy cow~!"
Even the Abomination, who was locked in a struggle with the Hulk, was affected by the tremors. He fell flat on his rear, giving the Hulk a golden opportunity to strike.
Any other enemy hit by Peter's Liger Bomb would have either been charred into carbon or had their neck snapped instantly.
But because "Radiation" had absorbed so much energy from the Hulk, it managed to recover quickly, though its physical size visibly shrunk by a significant margin.
Clearly, Peter's guess was correct. As long as the Gamma energy inside was depleted, Alexei would be able to reclaim dominance over his body.
Thinking of the two dark-green behemoths still waiting to be dealt with nearby, Peter decided not to hold back anymore. He didn't give "Radiation" a chance to breathe and began a rapid-fire assault.
"ORA ORA ORA ORA~!"
Lightning Fists, Lightning Kicks, Lightning Release Rasengan... all sorts of moves imbued with electrical power were hammered into "Radiation" as if they cost nothing.
Tony watched the red monster being suppressed to the point where it couldn't fight back, feeling his scalp tingle and his eyelids twitch.
The Iron Man armor he took so much pride in felt like a fragile soda can in front of this red monster, yet Peter was beating that same monster into submission.
Tsk~
Is science truly destined to be no match for magic?
While marvelling at Peter's strength, Tony couldn't help but feel a bit competitive. After this, he vowed to develop a set of super-armor specifically designed to counter these giant monsters.
...
Under Peter's frantic assault, the Gamma energy within "Radiation" was rapidly draining. Peter's raw strength was formidable, and every hit dealt significant damage.
The piercing sound of the intense electricity surging through its body made it difficult for the symbiote to maintain control. It had to expend more effort just to ensure it didn't detach from Alexei.
This caused the energy consumption to accelerate even further. "Radiation" could clearly feel itself growing weaker. Sensing the desperate situation, the symbiote instinctively turned its gaze toward the Hulk in the distance.
I... must continue to "feed"! I need to absorb more energy from that guy... or just eat him entirely!
With a feral howl, Radiation abandoned its defensive stance and charged recklessly toward the Hulk. The sudden move caused Peter to lose focus for a split second.
Just as Peter was about to intercept, the red symbiote—now nearly half its original size—tripped over its own feet and fell flat on its face. Immediately after, Alexei's muffled, heavy voice echoed from within the red monster:
"Don't even... think about it!"
"Alexei... promised the Arbiter!"
"Alexei... wants to be a good man!"
Hearing Alexei's words, Peter—who had been debating whether to eliminate both the symbiote and the man—instantly made up his mind.
This simple-hearted guy was genuinely trying to reform. There was no reason to stop someone from becoming a good person!
In truth, the Rhino in the original comics wasn't a truly evil man. In the source material, after being helped by Spider-Man to remove his polymer skin, he had decided to turn his life around. It was only because of the "Friendly Neighborhood" Peter's misplaced sense of mercy—which indirectly led to the death of Alexei's wife—that he turned back to darkness.
Throughout the Ultimate Spider-Man storylines, he frequently wavered between being a hero and a villain, with every attempt at redemption being ruined by a "Saint-like" mistake from the hero. He was arguably the villain most screwed over by Spider-Man.
"In that case, I'll help you one more time!"
Committed to helping Alexei reform, Peter flickered in front of Radiation with maximum speed. He reached out with a claw-like grip toward the monster's chest.
Amidst flashing bolts of lightning, he tore a massive opening in Radiation's chest, revealing Alexei struggling within. Peter pressed his palm against Alexei's chest.
As the healing power of the Horse Talisman took effect, Alexei's mind—previously clouded by Gamma radiation—instantly cleared.
"Radiation" was simultaneously purified by the talisman's power, shrinking back to its normal size. Its thoughts, muddled by rage, returned to a state of clarity.
"Get back inside, or I'll hand you over to Arbiter!" Alexei threatened the symbiote fiercely.
The now-sane Radiation looked up at Peter, who was standing there with arms crossed, staring down coldly.
The symbiote instinctively shrank its neck. Like a child caught in a mistake, it completely retreated into Alexei's body and vanished.
