Chapter 27 - The God’s Strange Voice

Watching the massive white dragon get kicked down to the ground so fast it didn't even have time to let out a sound, Michael had some guesses about the god's abilities.

"He clearly didn't fly here, he just suddenly appeared. Could it be the same as Raphael's ability to suddenly teleport behind someone?"

The direction of his thoughts had already been planted in his head. Now he just needed to keep watching to see what this god was planning.

There was clearly some scheme going on. Otherwise, he wouldn't be fixed in mid-air while that god was aura farming right in front of him.

His current position was way too perfect. It could be considered the best "seat" in a "movie theater". Where the dragon fell, where the god suddenly appeared, all of it lined up perfectly with his view.

The dragon that had been kicked down to the ground was injured in the head but immediately got back up. It let out an extremely piercing roar, the vibration so strong that if a normal person was nearby, their eardrums would definitely burst.

From its mouth, ice crystals condensed into large, sharp chunks that shot toward that god like bullets.

Whether it was an issue with the lighting effects or if Michael's eyes were having problems, no matter how long he stared, he couldn't make out that god clearly. It was as pitch black as a shadow, but clearly that god wasn't black in color.

Suddenly, an extremely loud clap echoed. It was unclear what that god had done, but Michael didn't see his figure anywhere.

The god appeared right in front of the dragon and threw an uppercut right into its jaw, making the dragon's neck stretch out as if it was about to break. The ice crystals it had created were also forcibly shattered into pieces by this one punch.

Only then did Michael feel that there was something off about this space. He noticed wisps of light red mist flickering in and out of sight, clearly not a normal phenomenon.

Comparing it to what the dragon had done, this thing definitely wasn't related to it. So this was surely some kind of technique from the god.

"He can teleport multiple times, varied positions… But not outside the range of where this light red mist is. How far does this mist extend?"

Michael tried to look far into the distance, past the mountain ranges. Only then did he notice that red mist covered the entire space, whether in the sky or on the ground.

Far behind the mountain ranges, Michael could see thick clouds covering everything like a border to this world. Beyond that was probably nothingness, or maybe it was an illusion to make this special space look more mysterious and vivid.

From this, it could be deduced that this god could simply appear anywhere in this world in less than a blink.

The dragon had been hit by a heaven-shattering punch from the god, but it seemed its head wasn't dazed yet. It swung its long, sturdy-scaled tail like an iron whip toward the god's head.

The god clapped his hands once again and immediately teleported behind the dragon. The tail, already having used up its momentum, couldn't stop and smacked the dragon in its own face, sending a few teeth flying.

At this moment, the god was finally standing opposite Michael at a suitable distance, so his appearance was finally revealed.

His blazing red hair stood on end but was fluffy, not looking like it was styled but rather pushed up by some force. His fierce face, if looked at normally, seemed a bit distorted because it was hard to see clearly. The reason was the terrifying dark red aura emanating from him, warping the space around it.

He had quite a few more teeth compared to humans, with several fangs exposed. Every tooth looked as sharp as a knife, none of them looking like they belonged to a "vegetarian" god. So the reason he was fighting this dragon was most likely to eat it.

His body was muscular and powerful, his skin like a bronze wall or iron plate without any softness like human skin. No idea where he got it from, but he was wearing a pair of white long pants.

No idea what material the pants were made of, but it was probably the same unbreakable type as the genie's outfit. But these pants, with his bloodthirsty vibe, looked a bit out of place.

"Why does this guy have such strong killing intent? Feels like he wants to kill whatever he runs into. What kind of crazy god did the system set me up to meet."

Michael curled his lip and grumbled, clear disdain in his voice. He was a 'righteous' genie, a god of dreams and justice… So there was no way he could like this kind of 'evil' god.

"Hey, I heard that. Talking shit in front of someone in their own home, the hell are you so confident for?"

That god, who was fighting the dragon, suddenly started talking to Michael. This didn't scare him at all. Instead, it made him find it hilarious.

"Ha ha ha ha… I'm gonna die laughing. What's up with your voice anyway? Did you purposely make it like that?"

This god's voice made Michael clutch his stomach, laughing so hard he couldn't open his eyes. Clearly his body was massive, his expression terrifying, killing intent spreading everywhere, but his voice was weirdly contrasting.

For comparison, it sounded like a little girl… No, it was the voice of an extremely cute little girl trying to sound even cuter.

If it was a little girl or a woman speaking in this voice, Michael would find it normal. But that god, huge as a hill in front of him, speaking in this voice was just too funny.

While the god was talking to Michael, the dragon seized the opportunity to attack him. It raised its sharp claws to strike the god's face, but the god wasn't free to play with it right now.

"Can't you see I'm talking?"

His hand suddenly became covered in dense energy and he swung out a blade of sharp energy, red as blood. The blade of energy directly cut off one of the dragon's legs as well as its head, leaving it no chance to fight back.
