Chapter 6 - The Transfer Student

The next day…

For once, I actually reached class on time.

"No trouble. No chaos. Just a normal day," I muttered as I sat down.

After everything that happened yesterday, I deserved at least one peaceful day.

Right?

Wrong.

The classroom door suddenly opened.

The teacher walked in.

And behind him—

Someone else followed.

A girl.

The moment she stepped inside…

The entire class went silent.

It wasn't just quiet.

It felt like the atmosphere itself had changed.

She walked in slowly, her expression calm and unreadable.

Long silver hair.

Sharp, almost emotionless eyes.

And a presence that felt…

Different.

Not like the others.

Not normal.

"She will be joining your class from today," the teacher said.

"A transfer student."

No one spoke.

No one even whispered.

It was like everyone was subconsciously holding their breath.

"Introduce yourself," the teacher added.

The girl stepped forward.

Her gaze moved across the classroom—

Slowly.

Carefully.

And for a brief second…

Her eyes stopped on me.

I felt it.

That look.

Like she was observing something.

Or someone.

"My name is…" she paused.

"…Luna."

Just one word.

But somehow…

It echoed.

"That's all," she said.

The teacher nodded. "Take a seat."

There were a few empty seats in the class.

But instead of choosing any of them—

She started walking.

Toward me.

My heartbeat sped up.

"…No way."

Step.

Step.

Step.

And then—

She stopped right beside my desk.

"This seat," she said calmly.

It wasn't a question.

Before I could react, she sat down next to me.

Of all the seats in the class…

She chose this one.

Why?

I could feel everyone staring again.

"Why does this keep happening to me…" I whispered.

"…Ayaan."

I froze.

Slowly, I turned my head.

She was looking at me.

Directly.

"How do you know my name?" I asked.

"I know many things," she replied.

My expression stiffened.

"Such as?"

She didn't answer immediately.

Instead, she leaned slightly closer.

Close enough for only me to hear.

"You shouldn't have come to this college."

My breath stopped.

"…What?"

Her eyes didn't change.

No emotion.

No hesitation.

Just calm.

"This place isn't meant for you," she continued quietly.

"Leave… while you still can."

A chill ran down my spine.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

But she leaned back as if nothing happened.

Like she never said anything at all.

The class continued as usual.

The teacher started the lecture.

Everything looked normal.

But for me—

Nothing felt normal anymore.

I glanced at her.

She was quietly looking at the board.

As if she was just another student.

But I knew.

That wasn't true.

Not at all.

"…What did I get myself into?" I muttered.

And deep inside—

I had a feeling.

This girl…

Was going to change everything.
