MIA
'Pet? Even if I'm reduced to this state, I wouldn't become this demon's pet!' Right now, I'm no match for the man.
And it wouldn't be wise for me to jump out of the running car. As much as the thought and my instincts enticed me, I decided against it.
I had things that needed to be done. I don't even know what caused me to become a cat. I needed to find a way to get back to normal, there must be one.
Before that, it was unwise to risk my life.
As soon as the car stopped, my senses heightened. Everything seemed too loud and grand, I could hear multiple footsteps echoing right inside my head. Within a few seconds, two long queues of men and women formed in front of me.
When I looked up, a lavish property towered in front with the words 'Sapphire Mansion' written in clean but elegant strokes atop it.
Before coming to the Capital City, I had done some research. And I remember coming across this name which was listed as one of the royal properties.
"Young Master!" Kevin opened the door and my eyes narrowed as Killian moved.
This was my chance.
"Meow!" I jumped out of the man's grip, extending my claws towards the small opening in the car door.
"Shut the door!" A cold voice thundered and 'bam'.
The door closed on my face, and I got smashed against the glass like a banana peel, helplessly sliding off it.
My tail was grabbed and in a firm movement, I was lifted up and placed back on a lap that almost felt like a thorn throne to me.
When I looked up, a pair of icy and humorless eyes glanced at me, "You want to run away?"
'Yes, isn't that obvious enough? Are you blind?' I scoffed.
"It's a pity you can't," Killian continued.
'You bet?' "Meow Meow Meow!" I extended my claws and jumped into the air again but before my claws could dig into the man's face, he moved swiftly, dodging my attack.
I glared at him in disbelief. This man was not only a demon by heart but one from body too?
"Behave," Killian's clothes did not have a single crease as he pulled me down to his lap. But not a single 'fur' on my body was in place, "Are you still going to run?"
'Yes.' "Meow."
"Sure."
I looked at the man in surprise.
"Try again and I will have you…"
Killian did not finish his words but he did not have to. I couldn't have mistaken that killing intent in his eyes.
When he took me inside the mansion, he casually pointed to the servants who greeted him, "Make preparations."
'Preparations? What preparations? Hey, hey, don't…' I meowed at the servants all for naught.
My heart rose to my mouth. Could it be that he is pissed and wants to get rid of me already?
Preparations… for a sacrificial ritual?
My body shivered but when the man looked down at me, I stayed still on him.
…
Half an hour later, a queue of servants dropped in front of Killian on their knees, "Punish us, Young Master, for we have failed in our duty."
All the servants sitting on the floor had three bloodstreaks on their faces.
Kevin touched his bandaged face and gulped. The servants' condition seemed more critical than him.
Killian raised his head from the file in his hand, "I will do it myself."
Killian removed the suit jacket and folded the sleeves of his shirt before he left the study.
When Killian entered the bathroom, there was nobody in sight.
Except there were broken bottles on the floor and water splashed all over the walls.
His gaze scanned across the bathroom, "Jade," his voice was low.
But there was no response, neither any movement in the huge bathroom.
"It seems you succeeded in running away," Killian sighed and left the bathroom.
A few moments later, a little drawer opened and a small black cat popped out, scanning the huge window in the bathroom.
'I haven't succeeded yet but surely, in a few minutes, I will,' Mia thought as she shot towards the window.
But before she could reach the window, she heard the sound of approaching footsteps.
'Boom' 'Bam'
Two slender fingers curled around her legs and 'plop'.
Mia dropped in the bathtub.
'Brrrr brrr brrr brrr'
'Bloo bloo bloo bloo'
When Mia's head emerged from the water, she found a pair of eyes focused on her.
'Demon' the word imprinted itself on her face.
But Killian was far from concerned with what she thought of him, "One thing about me. This young master doesn't like dirt."
'What had that got to do with me?' Mia glared.
"You are very dirty," Killian quirked a brow, "But good thing, it can be fixed."
'Hello, sir, I don't need no fixing...'
"Meowwwwwwwwww-ZZZ!"
