CHAPTER 46: ARIA'S MISERY
The front door was open. That alone made my stomach feel sick.
I opened it slowly and grabbed the mop that was leaning against the wall, for protection.
"Oh God…" I whispered.
It wasn't the thing to use as a weapon but it was something I could hold.
I moved through the living room checking every corner and shadow.
Every little sound made my chest feel tight.
The whole place was too quiet.
"Liam?" I called out carefully.
There was no answer.
"Luca?" I heard nothing too.
I swallowed hard and hold the mop tighter.
I went into the kitchen and swapped the mop for a knife.
My heart was beating fast as I went to Luca's room.
The hallway lights were flickering.
I was breathing unevenly.
"Please be okay " I whispered. "Please…"
I opened the door.
The first thing I saw was Elena on the floor with a knife in her chest.
She was breathing slowly.
Her clothes were covered in blood.
